Indeed. :)

Silver Crusade

Male Human Paladin 2/Bloodrager 1 (AC: 23 [T: 23 FF: 10] | HP: 31/31 (0NL) F+9, R+3, W+5) | Init: +1 |Perc: +7) Bloodrage: 6/6 LoH: 3/3

I'll be out from 15th through 21st with reduced access. After all its GenCon.

Male Dragon - AC: 18 (16 TCH, 14 FF); SR: 13; Init: +5; CMB: +4 CMD: 14; F:+4 R:+6 W:+5; HP:22/22; Perception +8; (60’ Darkvision)

I too will be at GenCon! Playing a bunch of PFS, and trying out the Starfinder starter thingie Thursday morning.

I will be in a bunch of PFS too.

We tried for the Starfinder, but didn't get any of it. Got all the PFS scenarios we wanted and of course the specials.

Assuming the creature is a werewolf (based on the picture), I don't have anything to bypass DR. I'd just have to hope I roll high on damage. Guess I need to pick up a silver dagger.

It looks like many in the group have an ability to damage it except Bat. I'm ok with running away if the group wants to, but I think we can take it.

A couple of things....

First, for the DM: Am I correct in thinking that Bat and her actions are still on hold until after the party takes readied actions and (maybe) the werewolf takes another action?

I'm in the same boat, Fezzik. Totally forgot to get silver & cold iron weapons when we were in town. Bat's got weapons against evil prepared, but that's helpful only if it's an afflicted werewolf. She's also got a flask of alchemist's fire (which is likely the better choice).

EDIT: On the positive side, swapping out her scale mail for the magic chain shirt means it's no longer a case of 'We don't have to outrun the werewolf--we just have to outrun Bat!' for the rest of the party! ;)

Meh. I think Fezzik's power of HIT FOR MASSIVE DAMAGE should be able to compensate his lack of a special weapon. =)

The DR just makes it a fair fight. ^_^

Why wouldn't weapons against evil work?

Natural werewolves have DR 10/silver; weapons against evil only works on evil things with DR 5/whatever or less.

It's still Plan B. :)

Plan C would involve Bat actually rolling a 4 or higher on a damage roll.

Basically everyone was waiting to see what it was as it came out of the bushes. You can take your readied actions now, but it will take a swing at the first person who gets into melee range.

Is anyone familiar with a trait or feat that let's you sleep in armor without becoming fatigued? I thought there was one but can't find it.

It's either Endurance or Diehard.

Campaign maps: Jade Regent | Kingmaker | The Temple of Elemental Evil

Endurance allows you to sleep in medium armor without fatigue.

If anyone is interested, I'm kinda doing a fun little one-off.

Not the best damage but at least I hit this round. We need to do max amount of damage to take this down asap. Then we can worry about fire/acid to stop regen. I cant take another hit like the last 2.

Building toward the Fochlucan Lyrist prestige class from 3.5. Jesse put that particular bug into my ear and the chance to play something as close to a 1st edition bard in a ToEE game was too much to pass on.

That being said the requirements are stout (even after the skill rank requirements lowering from the switch to Pathfinder from 3.5.

Skills: Diplomacy 4 ranks, Knowledge (nature) 4 ranks, Linguistics 4 ranks, Perform (string instruments) 10 ranks, Sleight of Hand 4 ranks, must speak Druidic.

Alignment: Neutral good, neutral, chaotic neutral, or neutral evil.

Spells: Ability to cast 1st-level arcane and divine spells.

Special: Bardic knowledge and evasion abilities.

I'll end up having to take another level of rogue to get the evasion, but the remaining 6 levels before hitting the prestige class are more flexible (although I suspect most of those will be bard).

So yes, it is an odd build, but should I actually make into the prestige class it will be worth the wait in my opinion.

Male Dragon - AC: 18 (16 TCH, 14 FF); SR: 13; Init: +5; CMB: +4 CMD: 14; F:+4 R:+6 W:+5; HP:22/22; Perception +8; (60’ Darkvision)

Perform (string instruments) 10 ranks

That's the killer! There aren't too many PC's that can't possibly be entered into until level 11. Is that right? Should it maybe be like 6 ranks?

10 ranks is right. The original 3.5 PC required 13 ranks!

Whoa.

So...what is your "shtick" until you hit that? You're mostly a bow-using bard? (Wasn't there something like that in Baldur's Gate. Man, now I wanna play that.)

Character Sheet High Elf Order of Scribes Wizard 6 | HP 21/32 | AC 13 (16 - Mage Armor) | Initiative +3 | Passive Perception 14| Saves: Str -1, Dex +3, Con +1, Int +7, Wis +4, Cha +0 | Conditions: None | Spell Slots: 1st - 3/4, 2nd - 1/3, 3rd - 2/3

That's the most of it.

Kind of filling in for your previous archer-bard in that respect. Picking up the weapon finesse and sneak attack from the 1st level of unchained rogue should allow me to be competent in melee if need be, although the leather armor does still leave me a bit on the squishy side.

Male Dragon - AC: 18 (16 TCH, 14 FF); SR: 13; Init: +5; CMB: +4 CMD: 14; F:+4 R:+6 W:+5; HP:22/22; Perception +8; (60’ Darkvision)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in 3.0, a Bard could wear Medium armor and still cast, correct? So it wouldn't have gimped you quite so bad to be taking this combo. You could wear hide armor as medium and get the +4 to AC.

Character Sheet High Elf Order of Scribes Wizard 6 | HP 21/32 | AC 13 (16 - Mage Armor) | Initiative +3 | Passive Perception 14| Saves: Str -1, Dex +3, Con +1, Int +7, Wis +4, Cha +0 | Conditions: None | Spell Slots: 1st - 3/4, 2nd - 1/3, 3rd - 2/3

Level 3, yeah! Nice teamwork on the troll everyone.

I'll need to think about my feat path to chose my next one. Considering Iron Will to boost my will save. Increasing my ability to hit or do damage is nice but useless if I'm held or even worse if I'm charmed.

While it's true that Avendryl will be pretty rogue-squishy for a while, there are a couple of options:

• The Hide Shirt is light nonmetal armor with a +3 AC bonus.
• The Fochlucan Lyrist PrC, once entered, has a class feature that unbinds you from the restriction of not being able to wear metal armor. You can use light metal armor (including, potentially, a mithral breastplate) and retain your druid spells and abilities.

Also, the original PrC removes experience penalties from multiclassing. That means in the PF version, you get your favored class bonus for all of your non-prestige classes once you enter the prestige class.

It'll likely have to wait until we reach Nulb (that hive of scum and river pirate villainy), but Bataleigha's now got access to the mast-Arrr!-work transformation spell. WTH??!! I hate pirates!
