Is Deko really down 11 hp? I went back a bit but aren't sure if he got hit twice by the gnolls or not, or if he had lingering damage from the ogre (which Bat probably would've healed before the group returned to the moathouse).
If the damage is correct, Bat should probably convert a 1st-level spell to cure light wounds before we press any further.

Enoby Illith'vir |

Hey everyone! Sorry I disappeared there for a minute. I caught an exceptionally nasty flu a few days ago, and I spent so little time both awake and lucid, I forgot about pretty much everything I had going on beyond relaying directions to folks covering for me at work. I'll work on reading through what I missed to get caught up, and have a post up later tonight, tomorrow at the latest. I'm in other PbPs with some of you, so apologies for having to read this over there as well.
Again, sincerest apologies for the brief vanishing act.

Enoby Illith'vir |

That went up later than intended. It figures that the Paizo site would be intermittently down for about a day after my last post. :P

DM Jesse Heinig |

I'll be out of town this weekend, back Monday!

Bataleigha Silvercrest |

I may not be able to post tomorrow; if I AM able to sneak one in, it'll likely be late afternoon or early evening. Back to normal on Wednesday.

DM Jesse Heinig |

In the "sad news" department it looks like Enoby may have vanished. I've sent a PM to the player (so [s]he isn't banned, at least), but the same player is in another game that I'm in and hasn't been posting there, either.
If Enoby has dropped we'll want to get a replacement, but we can work that out after the current battle.

Bataleigha Silvercrest |

Agreed, Zinnath. But this game has gone 10 months before losing a player (if, indeed, Enoby's gone), and that's a record for all the PbP games on these forums I've played in.
Enoby's player is in another game I'm in and stopped posting around the same time, so it appears something happened. Hope it's nothing too serious and that we see our drow sniper back here soon.

I'm posting this on all of my games. I recently went to the doctor's, for the first time in over 10 years, and while I am relatively healthy, I am on a couple meds. One of the meds, unfortunately, does make me lethargic and not up to doing much of anything. If I don't post for a day or so, which I'm trying to do, you'll know why. Feel free to DMPC if needed.

![]() |

If you can, DMPC me. Myth-Weavers lost all sheet data saved after July last year so I'm having to redo all of my character sheets. Not sure how long this will take and I apologize.

DM Jesse Heinig |

Will do, Deko. Sorry to hear it. :/

DM Jesse Heinig |

FYI, I am probably about to be banned from the board, because Tacticslion (who as far as I can tell has some kind of super-hero-like standing on the boards) didn't like what I had to say on a thread and obliquely threatened to report me.

DM Jesse Heinig |

We'll see what happens - but if I vanish suddenly, well, might be it. ;)

DM Jesse Heinig |

Also, time for me to take the enemies' turn! This may hurt.

DM Jesse Heinig |

I'm just over here drinkin' tea and thinking "Man, you'd really hate my buddy who's an anthropologist."

DM Jesse Heinig |

Apologies for the delay. Was totally swamped at work yesterday and of course Valentine's Day consumed the evening.

![]() |

Nevermind. I couldn't wait anymore, so I just stalked your posts.
Anyone who disagrees with you fails history forever.
The Medieval church was so anti-the sexy time that is was a wide-held view that nudity itself was bad. One of the reasons why so many people died of disease, is because bathing itself was considered icky, because you had to *gasp* get naked. (It's also why most paintings were done in June, because that's when most people had their annual bath.)
Anyway, the thread was solved in the third post. Everything else is just details. ;-)

DM Jesse Heinig |

The weird part is that I was trying to take an anthropological perspective, which would indicate that:
1. Christianity has various sexual morality codes and taboos - but this is not unique; tons of cultures and religions have various codes.
2. Where Christianity is unique is in its influence on our modern culture and our mythology, especially about supernatural creatures like demons and angels.
So it boggled my mind that someone would try to claim that this was off-topic.

DM Jesse Heinig |

I spent my weekend working on a project with these gals and got sick along the way, so I apologize for being a slowpoke!

From Dreamscarred press.

DM Jesse Heinig |

Dem board problems, so bad tho.
Looks like they have fixed them for now.

Bataleigha Silvercrest |

I haven't seen a lot of posts in the Gameplay Thread lately. Oh wait--maybe that's because I'm blind!
A bit of gallows humor. Also wanted to leave myself a reminder to possibly cast guidance on Fezzik next round.

DM Jesse Heinig |

I will be camping this weekend and probably won't have internet. Monday we get the exciting heat of battle!

Zinnath the Scary |

Silly system isn't allowing me to post this in the game forum. It keeps popping back just as a preview, and the post won't stick:
It hits AC 27, for 4 damage.
Zinnath will fire an acid orb at the cleric!
Acid Splash To Hit: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 1 = 27 vs touch and flatfooted
Acid Splash Damage: 1d3 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 1 + (1) = 4 acid or cold damage
And re-stealth...
Stealth: 1d20 + 20 - 20 ⇒ (19) + 20 - 20 = 19

DM Jesse Heinig |

The cleric's Perception check beat Zinnath's stealth on his last sniping attempt, so this is not flat-footed and does not gain sneak attack damage bonus.

Bataleigha Silvercrest |

According to my last loot compilation post (almost 8 months ago!!) here, under "Burne's Bounty" we have 2 potions of CLW listed. I don't recall anyone using them, so someone might be carrying them.

DM Jesse Heinig |

Sure, anyone could apply a healing potion. We're not in combat rounds any more so people can be a bit more general in their actions.

DM Jesse Heinig |

As far as those two, we can recruit or not; if we recruit, we can either go back to the initial recruitment and see if there are any characters we like, or we can hold a new recruitment, or we can privately invite other people you know from other games. (Please don't send invites to people unless/until the group agrees on it - I had that happen in another one of my games, and it was a bit awkward.)
Any preferences?

Bataleigha Silvercrest |

No preferences, but I'll be voting for whatever character is capable of looking for and disabling traps. I really thought that having Bat do that was what was gonna lead to our first fatality/TPK.

Fezzik Faststrike |

Looking back at the recruitment thread, there wasn't a lot to choose from:
So our list currently looks like:
querty1971 as Valyssa Warsong, Half-Orc Skald (Fated Champion)
TheBobJones as Alegard, Dwarf Warpriest of Clangeddin
Jokburn 'The Thorn' Oakenshield as perhaps a half-fey
djpika as Zalkis, Human Wizard (Elemental Earth)
Jamzilla as Magnus Strom, Dwarf Druid (Goliath Druid)
one of the first 2 could replace Deko while the 3rd could replace Enoby (he was a ranger/zen archer scout type). Although it's been over a year so they might not be available.
I think I would suggest private invite first. We are more likely to get someone that will stay with the game. Say we are looking for 1 skills/traps and 1 front-liner. Anyone interested can post their submission and then we can vote. We could pm the list above if needed.
I know Zinnath dipped into rogue since we needed it, but I'm not sure if he wants to continue using skill points for that or if we want a dedicated person for traps.

DM Jesse Heinig |

I think Zinnath's rogue dip was also for the sneak attack, since it turns his cantrips into something that does actual damage (1d3 + 1d6 is pretty good for an infinitely-sustainable touch attack).
I know a couple people who might be specifically interested, if we want to do invitations. Anyone have a friend/fellow player who has been dying to get into something like this?

![]() |

I specifically do not have anyone in mind to invite, so go for what you think is best! =)
Of note, please look at the posting history of the people you're ready to invite. The perfect class means little if they only post once a week. So too, even a mediocre character is multiplied in goodness if they'll post 2x a day. =)
Also, 500 get. ^_^
