Erd |
Sounds like something we'd need miracle for, maybe. Or we could find a priest of the god of death and ask them to pray really hard?
Auron Luckstride |
The hell is "OIC"?
Welll... Duh! It just occurred to me it's probably another way of saying "Oh, I see."
Sun Xiao |
"We're also looking for a person who's been operating in your city, he goes by the name Amman. Do you know if he's still here? And where?"
Erd |
Should we go through the portal then?
Erd |
"Let's go back to room of Amman. Find that roguish human and beat him."
DM. |
I had something preared for the portal, but alas I do not remember it, so I will just skip it
You leave the presence of hte Ghost ruler to search for that portal. After you find it takes you 5 hours to decipher how it works, the tablet you take from Sylwaris have the answer and with it help you can activate the portal.
When passing trough the portal you are transported via some kind of whormhole full of colors. At the other side you are deposite in what could be confused with a temple of Imaskari construction (ceremonial sculptures and the like), but you know well that Imaskari only builded to praise themselves.
The whole place is on an island floating into nothingness. Youre into open "air", You see a bright well-lit grayness that extend in all directions as if you were in a thick silver atmosphere(Still, your vision is unimpaired and you feel as you could see at miles and miles.)
A very important thing is that you are weightless and you are very slowly floating adrift
Halt there mortals! - you hear, and in mere seconds an in second a A tall winged Humanoid quickly apporach you, wharhammer in had.
In the name of the Blessed Fields of Elysium I order you to Iedentify yourselves!, Do it quickly and may the gods guide your judgement to tell only hte truth or this will be your final day alive - By the tone of his voice you note he is not in a good mood.
In the distance other two winged figures apporach.
===================
on the "floating adrift thing". A KN (planes) will reveal more about its nature and to what you can do abot it, meanwhile you have no control of your movement (except the ones who can fly)
...Or you could go mundane and hold to a statue, a wall or something
Sun Xiao |
Kn. Planes: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
Kn. Planes for the Celestials: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
That make it? Not that Sun cares a whole ton anyway. =p
"We're in pursuit of a human who fled through this portal some time yesterday. He has some connection to Daemonic happenings we've been investigating, and the death of our friend, Tandall Ironsoul. We were not aware this led to the Blessed Fields, just that it went somewhere outside the Prime Material." Sun says, figuring honesty is the best policy in this place.
Rynjin |
"His name is Amman Bel Amjad. We encountered him before, alongside a cohort of Ceustodaemons. He appears to be in search of some sort of forbidden knowledge related to the Verses of Creation."
"I'm not a virtuous person, but my companions are, and I myself have no desire for anyone to get their hands on something so powerful."
Also, do I know what these guys are with a 25 on a Kn. Planes check?
Erd |
"Amman hurt an elf and killed people, too. He harms the weak."
Auron Luckstride |
"That's odd... How come you were so quick to come to our encounter and yet failed to notice the presence a rather evil man accompanied by a number of daemons?"
I take 10 on Perception (32) and Sense Motive (34) to notice anything unusual or asuspicious...
Auron Luckstride |
Was it their day off, so they weren't around? Mind you, maybe they do have a reason for missing Amon's arrival... But I think it's a valid question for Auron to ask. If these guys see themselves as some sort of watch guard of this placr, they failed pretty badly. If they don't see themselves as such, then they no reason to threaten us.
DM. |
Ah that.
The celestial seems quite surprised with sun Final revelation. He just stand there floating in surprise until Auron spoke
We were not scheduled to watch over this sector -
The other two clestial finally arrive
Are these the ones? - Say a younger Devas (yeah, I like age categories and gender on my celestials
No, they are not. The blood of our brothers is not in their hands - The first Deva say.
Erd |
"Did Amman hurt you?"
Erd |
"Then we go." Erd tries kicking Bili forward, but instead begins to drift off the saddle. ". . . how may we go?"
Auron Luckstride |
"Let me understand this... A man shows up with a horde of daemons at the same time that two of your own are slain... And you don't plan to do anything? It seems we share an enemy. Why not aid each other on our quest for justice?"
Sun Xiao |
Sun glances in Erd's direction with amusement.
"Just think which direction you want to go, and you'll fall that way. It's sort of like switching gravity's direction."
He turns his attention back to the Devas.
"Now, why is it that you can't get involved now? I'd assume Devas would have more love for their murdered kin."
Fixed typo implying I was Erd and he was glancing at himself somehow.
Erd |

Erd concentrates, but can't seem to drift back to Bili's back. "Very well. In," she utters, storing the huge white horse back in her banner. "I do not want to lose horse," she says, brow furrowed, still drifting.
DM. |
Yes!, the primes are right Ael-thel!, we should avenger our fallen comrades! - Say one of the younger devas
We...Can't!. We retreat now, it is an order. -the alpha deva answer angrily, he then say to you
I hope you bring justice to your friend... and ours
and then He order the other two to fly away and say to them in celestial
DM. |
Now that ou have more time to look around you note that around you there is just empy espace, a vast empty space, except for a couple of speck of gray clouds here and there And the huge petrified figure of a twisted fetus at the distance (and when I say huge I'm taling about likehalf of the size of the moon).
Kn (planes) to learn more about he githyanki, and another planes to learn about the petrified figure
Auron Luckstride |
"I thought devas were brave and just... But you seem too scared to bring justice to yours... We'll do it for you, then... Even if we have to do so without any help from you." says Auron with a condescending tone.
The cleric then turns to Erd, his voice now far more friendly.
C'mon, Erd! I've seen you slay demons with a single hit! Surely some fancy falling can't be such a problem for a warrior such as thee!"

http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Githyanki
"The githyanki live on the Astral Plane in cities, fortresses, and citadels. The largest cities are built upon the giant petrified bodies that can be found in the astral plane.
Compared to the communities of most other races, githyanki communities are very militaristic in nature. Though they do not live in barracks, their homes and businesses are arranged according to the rank and standing of each individual or training group. Githyanki do not arrange themselves into families, but instead identify themselves by the training groups they belong to. Training is one of the most important githyanki values, and it rarely ceases. Each githyanki strives to excel over his or her companions."
===============
Miscelaneous information of the astral plane
"It was described as a barren place of other-dimensional nothingness extending in all directions. What little solid substance that floated in the bright, gray void was typically chunks of matter broken off from their original plane. The Astral had no gravity but objects did retain their mass so you could throw small items or push off from large objects to move in the weightless environment.[1] Time in the Astral flowed at the same rate on a Prime Material plane but the effects of time were slowed almost to a stop—a thousand years in the Astral plane felt like only a day to the traveler"
=====================================================
About the petrified fetus
"The Astral Plane is full of giant petrified bodies, the largest as big as continents. A large amount of them are vaguely humanoid in shape, but the forms of animals, aberrations, and stranger things have been spotted and documented as well."
You do not more about them.
Erd |

Erd claws towards the group, now "below" them, but suddenly begins to plummet away. "Aah! Auron, I get it now! Help!"
Is this the same as in 3.5 where you had to make like Will saves or something to figure out flying?
Rynjin |
In 3E (and Pathfinder?), as I recall, all Teleportation magic uses the Astral plane as an intervening space between where you start and where you end up. So Teleportation magic doesn't work on the Astral plane.
Rynjin |
What little there is on the Astral in PF:
A silvery void that connects the Material and Inner Planes to the Outer Planes, the astral plane is the medium through which the souls of the departed travel to the afterlife. A traveler in the Astral Plane sees the plane as a vast empty void periodically dotted with tiny motes of physical reality calved off of the countless planes it overlaps. Powerful spellcasters utilize the Astral Plane for a tiny fraction of a second when they teleport, or they can use it to travel between planes with spells like astral projection.
The Astral Plane is the space between the Inner and Outer Planes, and coterminous with all of the planes. When a character moves through a portal or projects her spirit to a different plane of existence, she travels through the Astral Plane. Even spells that allow instantaneous movement across a plane briefly touch the Astral Plane. The Astral Plane is a great, endless expanse of clear silvery sky, both above and below. Occasional bits of solid matter can be found here, but most of the Astral Plane is an endless, open domain.
On the plus side...all spells and SLAs are Quickened.
Auron Luckstride |
Auron floats towards Erd, hoping to help his friend to stabilize herself (And secretely trying to disguise his own lack of practice with flying. He's more used to walking on air)
After he reaches Erd, he looks up... Or at least, what he perceives as being "up"... And speaks half-amused and half-incredulous...
"I never thought I'd say this... But we might have to float over to the floating petrified fetus..."
EDIT: Wait! If this thing is half the size of the moon and we can see its shape... How freaking far is it?!
Nicos |
EDIT: Wait! If this thing is half the size of the moon and we can see its shape... How freaking far is it?!
Ha!, it was supposed to be a surprise. THe answer is...very far. Hoepfully for you, you do not age or need to eat, sleep, breath in the astral plane (poison did not work either)...you do not get tired either, so Sun can push you toward it faster
So, Jump to the next escene?
Auron Luckstride |
That's cool and all... But I don't think spending gods-know how long travelling to the fetus-moon is a great idea... Amon could build a city in the time it'll take for us to get there. :-P
I vote we go back through the portal and then use Plane Shift to appear on top of the fetus.
