Drasven Hammers
Advancing now. Don't think I did.....
DMD
@Drasven: At least one of them must have been placed in error, unless he walks through walls. With a simple withdraw action, you could at most provoke from 2 of them...which seems better than total defense for slightly higher AC, but provoking from 5...your call, of course.
They are all placed so that we can see Drasven, no wall walking just a map not perfectly to scale...
DMD
"No, not yet! Rojava cries as she plants her feet. She takes hold of Lia's arm and pulls hard back, trying to free her from Ameiko's grasp. Hopefully this will look like an accident of my stopping and not a trick!
"You mean your brother Ameiko? Is he the one who's responsible? We can't go yet! We can't leave everyone else with so many goblins right on top of them!
Although it is not your action you can certainly try to hamper their movement down the stairs, this was an unsuccessful attempt at doing so.
DMD
The Glassworks
The sound of barking dogs echoes around Drasven and Tal as well a sthe startled Goblins!
The goblins with the exception of one turn towards the hall babbling in their language about "who let the dogs in?" "who let the dogs in?". One goes as far as to race up the hall to meet the charging dogs...
Drasven easily evades the swing from the Goblin who keeps his attention on his foes.
Round 5
Xarmas GO!
Goblins Group 1
Karmid, Ro, & Talene
Windsight
You'd BETTER not tell me that one is making faux-barking noises as the others ask that question ... ;) Or maybe that's the spell doing it. *coughs*
Drasven Hammers
Who let the dogs out?
Karmid Groundbreaker
Gwyddym Soarsong
I love ghost sound. I was hoping they'd have cruddy saving rolls.
Lia Tani
Well, you ARE a musician ;) The first time I tried that on the square, I think not a single goblin turned his head. Then again, with Lia, it may be the sound was actually meowing rather than barking -_-
Xarmas Misinirith
Xarmas runs outside, expecting to meet resistance as the group escorts Ameiko outside. Finding none, she shouts back inside, "Hurry and bring her out! The way is clear if you run!" She glances around, and drops into a defensive stance, eyes scanning for more goblins.
Xarmas runs outside, and stops about ten feet outside the door. She goes full defensive and is on the lookout for more enemies.
Karmid Groundbreaker
Are there any goblins left from Group 1? I can't tell.
DMD
Are there any goblins left from Group 1? I can't tell.
Yes, there is a single Goblin from that group left
DMD
Xarmas runs outside, and stops about ten feet outside the door. She goes full defensive and is on the lookout for more enemies.
To get outside you would need to run past the Goblins though they seem more intent on the dogs at the moment, no other doors are near you presently, unless you want to open a window and jump out! I will wait for you to respond before the last Goblin in Group I takes his actions.
Windsight
And didn't Lia pull Ameiko further down the stairs? Not sure if Xarmas is straight on what's happening ... ? Though I suppose she could run through the glassworks and out the back door.
Xarmas Misinirith
Oh, my fault. I must have misread the map. I had seen shouting to get Ameiko out, so I was trying to assist with that. And sure enough, on looking at the map again, I thought I could go straight out that door to the south. I must have imagined another door in that first room. Instead, I'll just have her smash a couple more goblins:
Xarmas runs forward, schreeching a battle cry, and swings her quarterstaff at the first goblin.
Melee Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
She is aiming for the light blue-green one.
Flutter, Figment Sage Butterfly
Very animalistic. ^_^ Well, if you insist on moving into the chokepoint again and make yourself the sole target of all goblins, rather than hold the line with Karmid and Drasven together ... (just pointing that out since Drasven and Gwyd moved back into the current main room to force the goblins to come through the choke, one by one. But then, your AC is more decent, so-)
Flutter sits down on Ameiko:"We know things are hectic. But you'd best give us some details on what's happening here..."
DMD
The Glassworks
Talene heals Drasven CLW 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Xarmas' strike fells one of the Goblins.
Though momentarily disoriented by the sound of the barking dogs, the Goblins rally when one of their own falls.
The two closest to Xarmas strike with dogslicers one registering a hit aclong her left oblique. Xarmas take 4 damage.
The final two fire shortbows at Drasven, both missing as their arrows skittle down the hall harmlessly.
Round 5 -
Karmid & Ro Go!
DMD
The Glassworks
Karmid Groundbreaker
Moving up behind her in the short hall, Karmid sees no direct way to help Xarmas quickly, but he soon realizes he can still help in other ways!
Touching his tattoo, Karmid whispers for Gozreh's blessing on Xarmas!
Enlarge Person SLA; 2 min duration, +2 size bonus to Strength, a -2 size penalty to Dexterity (to a minimum of 1), and a -1 penalty on attack rolls and AC due to its increased size. A humanoid creature whose size increases to Large has a space of 10 feet and a natural reach of 10 feet. This spell does not change the target's speed.
All equipment worn or carried by a creature is similarly enlarged by the spell. Melee weapons affected by this spell deal more damage (see Table: Medium/Large Weapon Damage).
Karmid will snap his fingers loudly at the end of his spell prayer to active the effect on Xarmas. With a smile and a chuckle as he realizes his new relative position now to hers, he can't help himself but comment.
"Got your back Xarmas...and boy-howdy...what a backside it is now!"
I took the liberty to adjust everybody's size relative to Xarmas' temporary new one on the map.
Rojava Brishen
When Rojava digs in and pulls back against Lia, things don't go at all how she hoped. She loses her grip on Lia, leaving her at the top of the stairs while they continue on down.
"Godsdammit! Windsight, stay on them! I'll be right behind you!"
She turns and runs back into the room at grab her bow. As she picks it up she tells Gwydd "Windsight and I are going after Ameiko. I'm trying to keep anyone from getting hurt, but she's grabbed Lia and won't listen to anything. As soon as you can get everyone else and come after us. Sorry."
Ro pronounces a pair of eldritch words and touches Gwydd's arm. "So we can keep in touch." She then turns to run back down the stairs.
Casting Mesaage with Gwydd as target.
Lia Tani
Casting Mesaage with Gwydd as target.
I misread that. Now I want a Massage cantrip.
Windsight
Only if you ask nicely.
DMD
Round 6 - Order - Gwydd, Lia & Windsight GO!
Goblins Group 2
Ameiko
Drasven & Xarmas
Goblins Group 1
Karmid, Ro, & Talene
Windsight
"On it!!" With an arrow nocked and half-drawn, the Shoanti archer follows immediately upon the heels of Lia and Ameiko, aggressively alert for danger - especially to Lia.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
DMD
Lia Tani
"I hope you succeed in showing him the error of his ways. If you don't, he will die.", Lia states, maintaining her leisurely pace, asking innocently: "Do you know where your father is?"
Single move action, where Ameiko leads, resisting faster movement.
Gwyddym Soarsong
Gwydd nods slightly as he feels Ro's magic wash through him. Stepping back through the door, behind Karmid, Gwydd says loudly to the big man, Quickly! Ameiko has taken Lia and they are headed downstairs! Windsight and Ro are headed after her to do what they can. We need to wrap this up and follow with haste.
Looking through the throng of combat, he spots a few more of the goblins dancing around the now enlarged Xarmas. Smiling, he emphatically spits a few words and a blinding flash of light explodes in front of one of the goblins! Satisfied with his work, he continues his song in a whistle.
Casting flare near to the gray goblin. DC 13 fortitude to negate. 4/9 BP remaining, IC active. 2/4 Touch of Luck remaining. 2/3 1st level spells remaining.
DMD
The Glassworks
Goblin 1 continues to retreat.
Gwydd's flash goes off in the Goblin's eye but he manages to blink away the pain and push on.
Round 6
Drasven & Xarmas
Goblins Group 1
Karmid, Ro, & Talene
DMD
The Glassworks
Basement -
Ameiko's appearance shifts to match that of your own.
"Someone will be dead my dear the who is what you have got all wrong..."
Lia make a Will save DC 13.
I will get a map up for this by Wednesday!
The words echo off of the wall at you, "Someone will be dead my dear the who is what you have got all wrong..."
Windsight
The arrow gets pulled to full draw, but Windsight hesitates - then mutters to the Flutter-by, "Get your mistress to drop to her knees." He will be paying very close attention to which one drops first - or any details of movement that just don't match his 'little sister'.
Bluff: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (10) + 0 = 10
And trying to spot differences between the two - I doubt it's going to be in appearance, so movement or actions:
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Drasven Hammers
Drasven notes that the younglings hae gone down, another has gone up in size literally and they still have lotsa goblins.
"So. he begins.
"I be guessing that these be goblins for us?"
Lia Tani
DMD
You can push past Xarmas to get back at 'em if you want Drasven as I believe you are at full health again!
Xarmas Misinirith
Xarmas swings her newly enlarged quarterstaff in a sweeping motion, arcing across the heads of the goblins in front of her. She roars, and her newly enlarged form, still only barely ten feet tall, quivers with her fury.
"Come, Brother Karmid, and let us fell our foes, and see them crushed beneath us!"
'I could really get used to being big, for once in my life...' She ponders inwardly.
Technically she is aiming at the red goblin; the arcing attack is just for flavor.
Melee Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Not rolling great for damage, but at least I'm hitting!
Drasven Hammers
"Do so. I'll back you up." Drasven says as he begins loading a bolt into his trusty crossbow after slipping his dagger back into its sheath.
Karmid Groundbreaker
Not rolling great for damage, but at least I'm hitting!
Don't forget your doing d8s with a quarterstaff now! =)
DMD
The Glassworks
Xarmas' strike brings low yet another Goblin.
Freshly painted in his companions blood, the flanking Goblin presses his attack against Xarmas and striking with a deep cut in her left thigh. Take 3 damage Xarmas.
The final two little creatures see the growth of Xarmas along with the falling of their companions as the turning point and break off their attack fleeing away from the now Large and in Charge Xarmas!
Talene looks around, "Is anyone hurt and in need of assistance?"
Round 6
Karmid & Ro GO!
Windsight
Will Lia be doing anything?
Rojava Brishen
I'm thinking you and Lia may now be on a different map, perhaps outside the scope of the initiative order upstairs?
Rojava Brishen
Rojava stows her bow, keeping her rapier and buckler handy. She runs as fast as she can down the stairs to catch up with Windsight, Lia, and Ameiko.
Double move, or as much of one as it takes to catch up.
Karmid Groundbreaker
Squeezing past Xarmas's new bulk, Karmid quickly follows the goblin that ran in a nearby doorway. He swings his hammer hastily for a quick kill!
"Auurrrggghh!!!"
Earthbreaker(2-Handed): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 5) + 4 = 14
And shatters a wooden chair to kindling that the too-fast goblin ducks behind!
Windsight
Essentially the same fight/sequence, so I prefer keeping in order - but the statements/conversation (both IC and OOC) from Lia and the GM suggested that she might be trying in some manner to follow Windsight's directions or what-have-you. Soo ...
Windsight will be delaying his action until after one or the other down-range make a move.
Flutter, Figment Sage Butterfly
We are, technically, on top of initiative order. I'm still waiting until we are called out. There may be a reason that Bottom Group(Karmid, Ro, Talene) and Top Group(Lia, Windsight, Gwyd) have not been combined into one group between Goblins 1 and Goblins 2. One such reason, possibly, being that someone else who has not joined combat yet is in-between the two in terms of initiative. *wink*
DMD
Round 7
Lia & Windsight GO!
Ameiko & ?
Ro.
As Ro arrives downstairs she is seeing double, there are two Lia's standing before her, but which is the real one?
See new map above.
