Yeah I have been playing D&D for 25 years or so. That was the first time I rolled a critical in conjunction with max damage. :-(
And I'm the only character of Lia's player to EVER kill something using the massive damage rules! The subject of my wrath rolled a 1 on it's Fortitude Save for a result of 14...yay!

Ok, that was weird...I just reloaded the Catacombs wondering why my Avatar was gone, and everything was uncovered. I quickly drew some new black boxes without looking. If something's messed up on my end, apologies, but it seemed to make most sense.

Hope 18 points of damage finishes it. Quick horrorifying realization - I didn't heal from yesterday, was at 9 HP before I took that 4. Was any healing done in the interim, or did I screw up by the numbers??

I think we've got plenty of diverse people as is, especially with the NPC helping us. Healing isn't an issue, the situation is just bad, not the group itself. How we deal with it now, is what will matter in the end.

I agree with Karmid. We might be in a tough spot right now, but I think we have all the versatility we need. Besides, if we were getting a full divine caster who would pick a boring cleric over a sexy, interesting oracle? Observe:

I concur, no full cleric needed. We got 3 characters capable of healing. With Gwydd being pacifistic and supporting, that may well be a major part of what he does.
Now, I didn't even realize we ARE in a tight spot. So I'll head on over and check gameplay now :)
Yeah, Gwydd will be focusing his efforts on healing folks. He may even find himself getting a bit of a curse and investigating some of life's mysteries ;)

My goodness. I have 6 separate tables in combat at once! Hopefully this week will be less hectic than last week. Within a round or two the group should likely finish these zombies off, well perhaps damage reduction may slow the hacking of parts away down a bit :-)

Thing is, Lia cannot really do something against undead, YET. With only 2 Spells prepared, one mind-affecting and one tiny utility-monsters, I'm basically sitting on the sidelines, there :)
I don't think that bolt even goes through the DR, so it's also more of a "do something"-action, rather than a really meaningful one.
But I remain adamant about Lia not being a blaster. But mindless undead may make for a good excuse to pick up SOME of it.
Though a Hungry Pit could probably take care of quite a few Zombie Hordes :P
Since we're down to low numbers, can we get individual zombie figures?

Once again, plans in real-life simply don't work out.
I was to attent a training workshop most of this week, and expected to have plenty of time to post during the nights at the hotel, so was a bit lazy last weekend and spend time preparing for the trip.
Little did I know that we only met up at the hotel, then moved by bus to a cabin in the mountains for teambuilding purposes. No phone, no Wi-Fi, and even if we had, no time to post.
It was a very interesting experience, but yeah, sorry for going MIA/AWOL, I'm back and will make sure to catch up on all my games and post ASAP.

I don't use protection either? Nobody ever complained about it...not one of my partners ever mentioned they wanted me to...
To be honest, I like the natural feeling, the freedom it affords me to work my magic, feeling the weave gathering power and then explosively unloading it inside me to push me over the edge and allow me to change reality.
Gwydd hasn't ever been put in a situation (until recently) that required him to be armored. He will be seeking out some nice flexible leather armor as soon as they get out of these catacombs.
Also, let's not forget that even if I was in full plate, I was going to take that damage. Back to back natural 20s (to hit and then to confirm). This devil didn't like my dancing.
