Windsight:
While your idea is definitely not bad, there's two things to consider-...my link with Flutter is empathic in nature. He could certainly send me certain feelings, but it may be complicated to mentally transmit a specific action. Luckily, being a part of me, he should be able to pick me out. And, unlike so many other familiars, he can speak. It was one reason Lia went along with the Ameiko. She's weird like that. (Also, Lia can cast, still...something hard to duplicate).
Second(and not really that much more relevant after that first paragraph): Dropping to my knee/getting back up would probably at least be a move action...possibly one that provokes. And I don't know if I really want to stay in melee-range with a Doppelganger(not known IC, I guess, but I'll call it intuition to not want to stick around something separating me from the others and stating a clear intent to murder me).

Hehe, and in any case an interesting action for Windsight to choose for Lia.

The amusing thing is that if it had targeted Windsight with what I assume was Detect Thoughts, rather than me, I may have gotten an arrow...if Windy had failed his save, the duplicate would have known what to do, while Flutter would still struggle with sending me empathic feelings that get me to kneel :) - We'll see how things turn out ^_^

I had half a mind to go with "Grapple us and pin us both. The one that resists is not me."...but that could have turned kinky quickly, so going with the original script. ^_^

We need to rescue some Goblin babies from their cages, and see if it's their nature, or their society.

I mean different things. As in, people born blind use the same facial expressions as other humans to express emotions. => Nature.
A kitten raised in a litter of dogs will adapt to the behaviour patterns of the creatures it is imprinted on. => Nurture.

Basically the experiment would be to remove a few Goblins and raise them among humans, AS humans...

All-game post:
Today the veterinarian told me, unexpectedly, that I will have to euthanize my companion of almost 13 years, my housecat Nikita.
She would not survive the weekend, and I will go to the doctor tomorrow to prevent her from suffering.
I am feeling both like crying all night and hitting walls with bare fists.
I will take a while off.
I have no idea. I may need a couple days to come to term with this loss, or I may be back soon hoping to put my mind somewhere else.

My condolences. I feel your pain, and I'm sorry you have to take the steps you're taking. Take whatever time you need, I'm sure we will be here when you feel the need or ability to return.

I know whence you speak - my partner-in-crime of 13.5 years, my Bengal cat Kayode, was getting thinner and thinner; I took him in for an exam, then arranged for an ultrasound appointment. Exactly a month ago, 10/10, the ultrasound revealed that the masses the vet was feeling were cancerous, not swallowed objects as I had hoped. I petted him as they euthanized him.

It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, and I still miss that damned sociopathic cat.

Take a few days. We understand; we'll be here when you get back.

It was incredibly hard, and with certain memories, songs, or objects, I can't help starting to cry, still, but taking some time off for mourning helped.

I do feel ready to rejoin my games now, and am currently trying to catch up on everything that happened in all of them. I expect I'll be able to post again within the next 2-3 days.
