Arrows yes as many as you need.
Thieves' Tools yes but NOT Masterwork.
Masterwork Instruments I do believe are available but not in Sandpoint.
Masterwork Composite Shortbow yes (and arrows).
A Wand of Cure Light Wounds will be lent to you but it must be returned to the Cathedral after your delve is complete. (45 Charges).
Anything else?
Updates I/C tomorrow.

Thanks! Two questions:
Should we go ahead and update equipment or will we be receiving it IC?
Should we hold where we are and let the update place us together, or take ourselves to the glassworks?

Just an FYI for those looking for more games to play:
*I'm in a current Hell's Rebel's game that is still going that needs
2 new players. If interested look here:
Hell's Rebels.*I am trying to join a new Game of Iron Gods that is forming. The GM was
a fellow player in an Iron Gods game that went defunct earlier this
year. He was a good role player and should be good GM IMHO. If interested
in applying see here:
New Iron Gods PBP.That's it!
Continue with your regularly scheduled discussion.

I took a look at the Iron Gods recruitment. It was tempting. I'm curious about the AP. I can't take anything new on though. Good luck with your application!

Lia Tani |

*shrug*
I did mean to play Iron Gods sometime :)
I'll submit something, but it seems there's plenty of people already, so - will see...

Drasven Hammers |

Iron gods isn't my cup of tea.
I played it once till Book 2, maybe it was my GM but I felt the rush to become 'space marines' didn't jive too well....

Lia Tani |

Also...several of us were still wounded yesternight...will Father Zantus or Talene top us off, HP-wise, before we go back in?
Or will we need to spend our given resources to do so?
Because if the latter, I'd be thankful if someone would give me a health zap.

DMD |

Assume that the various Clerics of the Orders healed all of your wounds this morning before you head out.

Storyteller Shadow |

I almost ran Iron Gods but the newest group o' mine selected Shattered Star instead. Well maybe not so much selected it as they had objections to all the others AP's I suggested :-)

The Wyrm Ouroboros |

Sorry, been focused on my Mythic Kingmaker. All Windsight needs are more arrows, really. He'll have stayed at the glassworks, in the basement near the exit, helping to guard it.
Iron Gods and Shattered Star - do either/both of these take place in Numeria? I will need info on the aforementioned country ... eventually.
(Have I mentioned that I named my Argonian in my Elder Scrolls: Skyrim game 'Sees-The-Wind'? Stealth archer ... :D )

Lia Tani |

@Iron Gods/Karmid: Aye, but a lot of submissions for that game. So yeah, not feeling lucky.(especially since I could not decide on a gender yet...Basil is asexual so it should not matter, but avoiding "hims" and "hers", "he" and "she" in the whole description and background part makes it feel more clumsy than I would have liked.)
Regardless: Definitely want to play Iron Gods at some point. With an Android Gunslinger!
@Selected Shattered Star: I prefer to think it was picked "for" us. But hey, I get to play a proper aspiring God, so any game will do! (Albeit in retrospect, Wrath of the Righeous would possibly have been a great fit for the Godling-Theme)
@TWO: Also, I have not forgotten the backup-submission for your Kingmaker. I'll get around to it eventually, just saying I'm not feeling a hurry on that, as it's for a existing waitlist, anyway :)
Plus I got a few chars I need to redo...not least of all Lia herself(while keeping everything the same about her as a person-just a mechanical shuffle), to allow her to enter Sphere-Singer - amusingly the main problem I run into is making sure that Flutter is fully levelled...if I pick him as an Arcanist Class Feature, he would not progress in the PrC. Picking him up via Eldritch Heritage has him at -2 Level, so the only option seems VMC, which is costly in feats.
Same for picking him up via the Iron Will-Line(which also would not allow him to have archetypes before Level 5, unless I gave up Focused Study)
And unless I throw in a Level of Sohei or MoMS, I may have to give up on the Snake Style defense, for lack of Feats(since turning Spheresinger into full casting progression requires 3 Feats)
So...yeah, some more pressing problems, there :)

Rojava Brishen |

When/if I ever play Iron Gods, I'd like to make an Inquisitor of Bharnarol. Preferably aasimar. Sort of a "do these inventions belong in the hands of mortals?" type of character.

It may have seemed that way after the fact but between preferences in PMs and in the threads and players who did not play giving preferences only the Shattered Star adventure was not objected to... :-)

Totally not complaining. I know I semi-vetoed one AP because I'm playing in it in a different campaign online. So yeah, it was probably an indirect group pick. Just glad I'm in there. But still looking for a Dark Aeons game :)
Gives me an excuse to look into Medium or Psychic class, I suppose. Also, just to do things right, I'm formally asking permission to retrain Lia once we have some downtime. Stargazer PrC would be much simpler, and, honestly, more powerful(no Feat expenditure for Casting Progression or Flutter scaling), but Sphere Singer is way more fitting, so it would be a pity not to have a chance to pick it up on Lia.

DM Default is a good DM.
I may pick up a group from those submissions...

Lia Tani |

Aye, looking forward to the game.
In the end, both me and Karmid made the cut.
The other applicants were dedicated enough to make a new thread and look for a GM ;)
You are very nice for considering picking up another...but I do hope you'll never overextend by being so nice. "Too many games" is a great factor in GM burnout :( - and I would hate for that to happen to you.
So I'm cheering you on and at the same time, not. If that makes any sense.

Heh it certainly does.

The Wyrm Ouroboros |

BTW, looking for two possible walk-ins for my Mythic Kingmaker campaign - a mage and a knight-commander, basically. Though thank you to our wonderful DM for giving me a polite Gibbs-smack to pay attention here, too.

I'd be interested, but I'm already in a Kingmaker game right now.
Thanks for the thought!
=)

The Wyrm Ouroboros |

Trust me - playing in a Kingmaker campaign means ... relatively little. While those events will take place, there is so MUCH else going on ... muahahaha. Cough cough.
Anyhow. I think I have 2 players in other KM games already in the game. ;)

Hmmm Mage and or Knight Comander?
I maybe interested.
Lia Tani |

As said before, I would like to complete my Gnome Nature Oracle with the Human Cavalier Cohort.
I COULD probably work with a Arcanist(Collegiate Initiate going for Collegiate Arcanist) to provide that Mage.
Or swap around and make the Cavalier the main character with the Nature Oracle as Cohort to provide a knight-commander.
If I do deviate from the original plan to adapt to your current needs and hurry up creating those characters(and digging through the thread for any information burrowed somewhere in there), I would prefer a guarantee to get the respective spot if the characters stand up to your scrutiny, though, as it would basically eat most of my "spare time" for today, maybe tomorrow.

Drasven Hammers |

lol Mage Knight Commander?
That's going to take some doing....
The one I did had some heavy duty stuff on it.

Flutter, Figment Sage Butterfly |

@Mage Knight Commander: Seems like a fun opportunity for a Crossblooded Orc/Dragon Sorcerer going Dragon Disciple(with prestigious spellcaster) and with a Magus VMC.
With 14-10-14-14-10-14 on 20 point buy, that'll set it up nicely for a melee combatant with self-buffing, spellstrike, and full casting progression.
And the Crossblooded Arcana's allow some meaningful blasting, too, where such is necessary(with +2 per die, turning 3.5 average into 5.5 average)
Also note that spellstrike only requires spells on the list, but you get way more higher level slots and earlier. You can totally pull off an intensified maximized shocking grasp at Level 11 when you get spellstrike, for +3 to attack and 80 damage on a standard action(oh, 160 if you crit. You do have a 15-20 crit range, right? - with magus arcane pool providing keen and that being a swift action, not really an excuse not to)

Drasven Hammers |

I was thinking Half elf Youthful and idealistic Paladin (Hospitaler)/ Cavalier (Castellan) being thrown into this wild world of differing opinions with his valet, a much older and wizened Dwarven Fighter who has had 'served' with his father and grandfather before him.
Thinks he's but yet another squire thrown out to the wolves but is in fact being exiled. Something his caretaker is well aware off due to the family being practical glorified Bandits and too much consorting with the Fey Court. No Noble blooded one here.
Still need to read through the settings though.

DMD |

I'd prefer active discussion about this be moved over to the Fey Winds Rising recruitment page; let's not take over the RotRL discussion, eh? :P :)
How else can they plan in secret away from the other characters? You win the Game of Thrones or you die!

Lia Tani |

Exactly!
Also, discussing in that recruitment would bump it. Which increases the chance of someone seeing it. Which increases the chance of another submission. Which decreases the chance to succeed.
So obviouly it would be stupid if we talked there!
In all seriousness: Sorry for hijacking the thread, and thanks for being a good sport, DMD :)
If anything else comes up, I'll PM Wyrmie.

Hum. Is it time to call in the celestial skunks? Not even kidding...
That's a stinky idea...

Karmid Groundbreaker |

Lia Tani wrote:Hum. Is it time to call in the celestial skunks? Not even kidding...That's a stinky idea...
I don't know...celestial skunks?
I would think fiendish would be even worse...
=)

Lia Tani |

But I can't be a good girl and not call celestial ones...do you really want someone evil to call skunks near you?
And yep, having fun ^_^

![]() |
Are we all having fun in DMD's Rise of the Runelords? :-)
Yep but why Skunks?

Flutter, Figment Sage Butterfly |

Hm. Possibly because they are tiny animals, thus qualify for "Summon Minor Monster", which Lia prepped today(she has the spell to hand out temporary kittens). They are vicious creatures by themselves, certainly, but they also have the ability to spray Musk at targets...while the save is not very hard to make, the threatened condition of Nausea is powerful(and even a save makes them sickened). Up to 3 Skunks may heed the call, each able to spray targets twice.
Or, you know, Lia could like Skunks and find them amusing cute little animals. Similar to Kitties, Hedgehogs, Weasels or Platypi.
But Hedgehogs are not very vicious creatures unless you have an evolved Mauler Familiar...so calling a couple celestial hedgehogs may be funny, but not very effective- and I'm trying hard to fuse being effective and delusional here...Skunks work for that!

DMD |

And we have contact!
Meant to do that earlier today but between the furnace shutting down on the coldest night of the year, a damn near electrical in my daughter's room, and an injured pup that still needs to go to the vet tomorrow - I was not able to get to it until now.
This should be a good one :-)

MordredofFairy |
When making a melee attack, you get a +2 flanking bonus if your opponent is threatened by another enemy character or creature on its opposite border or opposite corner.
When in doubt about whether two characters flank an opponent in the middle, trace an imaginary line between the two attackers’ centers. If the line passes through opposite borders of the opponent’s space (including corners of those borders), then the opponent is flanked.
First off, you can't flank with a ranged weapon(unless you use it to make a melee attack), so if anybody would benefit, it's Gaven for you threatening with Unarmed Strikes.
Secondly, you need to draw a line between you and the other flankee that crosses through opposing borders or corners of the target. You use the attackers CENTER for that...so you can't pick a corner of your square(as you would for checking possibility of attacks). That means the spot below Windsight does not make them flanked(no matter if large or small). only if they are large and also occupy the spot above Gaven would they be flanked by the two of you.Thirdly, you best hope they are not next to you, as you only get Point Blank Master next level, so would provoke. Which means that in conjunction with points 1 and 2 you would do well to take a step back before firing.

Windsight |

Thank you for the second part of your clarification; that's the part I was asking about, the 'center of body / corner of the square' thing. I knew I couldn't flank or provide flanking by threatening with a ranged attack, but I was hoping I could do so for Gaven against whatever moves into that spot. And like with Tsuto 'upstairs', and probably for the foreseeable future, Windsight relies on his unarmed strikes in close combat. (Probably a bad experience in the past! ;) )

DMD |

I imagine those of you that have played through this in the past are finding a different experience this time.... :-)
