Re: the discussion about Guaril - Gotta agree with Emma, guy is kinda scary looking! And derp, just now noticed Auron is part of the Exchange so it makes sense hehe. I've got a 1st level ranger that is too, though her interests and methods would be more in line with the Trade Prince's :)

Ok folks, we are getting close to the end, so I figure now is a good time to repost all the information for Reporting and Chronicle Sheets, and also to take a look back at different items people purchased and need noted.
I hope you have enjoyed this one so far, and if you have not, perhaps some things might come back and make a bit more sense down the road for some of you. AND WE ARE NOT DONE YET.
Additionally, I'll go ahead and do the Boon Roll-Off, with either a Natural 20 or16 winning something.
Auron: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Corona: 1d20 ⇒ 16 <<--

Sorry all. Really long day at work today, and I'm trying to finish up with some aspects of the Special. Hopefully I'll have more chance to post tomorrow so we can get this one finished up too. :P

![]() |

As far as if you can hear Einn (and each other), I'm going to say yes. You are close enough that shouldn't be too difficult, and it might help everyone to get on the same page, in character.
This last combat is a little bit special. :P

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give a head's up, I'll be away Fri and Sat for my grandparent's funerals. I do not believe I will have internet access most of the time, and likely will not be able to post, or check the game during that time. Please feel free to RP a little, or try to share some information between each other that not everyone may have seen, and we will jump right back in soon. We are close to the end.
Also, just in case, I've been dealing with a lot of games, if there are any questions I missed or didn't answer fully, or if you have any questions about the set up, feel free to ask and I will get to it.

My condolences DM. Don't worry about the game; we'll be here when you're ready and able to get back to it.

Adjusted Corona's map movement for round 3 to account for the extra boost in movement :)

Got my chronicle sheet and everything looks good! And holy crap, that first boon is the best boon ever and I must plan my feats and things so I can take advantage of it when the time comes. Funny thing, Corona was originally supposed to be a lot creepier but instead she would up being a lot more Luna Lovegood-ish, which I think I like better anyway. Though in light of that I think I need to tinker with her just a little bit to reflect that change in direction...
Er, but I'm rambling. Thanks for a great game DM; this scenario was a lot of fun and now I see why Auron's player even burned a replay for it :)

Einn might need to be rebuilt as a spell caster. I that first boon is amazing. Thanks for the great game. It was fun to play with all of you. I hope I get the chance again sometime.

Eldritch Heritage Arcane allows you to get a Familiar, and my understanding from the resent FAQ on Improved Familiar, is that you can ignore the "arcane" caster level portion if you are getting it from a different source than an Arcane caster with the Familiar Class Feature.

![]() |

^That's been my understanding of it too, which is nice of them to have clarified since there's so many ways for a non-arcane class to get a familiar now. The Eldritch Heritage route is the one I'm looking into for Corona.

A drake warden gets a drake animal companion at level 4, and having both seems redundant. Can you point me to the FAQ I can't seem to find one more recent than 2015?

I have a druid with a familiar and a companion. The familiar will be an imp and cast spells off wands while I am in animal form. As a spell casting imp is more efficient then a single feat. I get 5 atks pounce and smite instead of casting

Can you point me to the FAQ I can't seem to find one more recent than 2015?
Improved Familiars: There are various ways for characters other than arcane spellcasters to gain familiars at this point, and some of those options even grant Improved Familiar as a bonus feat, but technically each Improved Familiar option requires a certain arcane spellcaster level to take it. Does that mean that non-arcane characters with Improved Familiar have a dead feature? How does it work? If it does work, can I take an Improved Familiar as some kind of variant familiar or a temporary familiar like the occultist’s soulbound puppet?
The Improved Familiar description was written back when only arcane spellcasters could have familiars, and it wasn’t sufficiently future-proofed. To that end, you can always substitute your effective wizard level for the purpose of determining your familiar’s abilities for “arcane spellcaster level” to determine the available improved familiars for your character. In general, you can take Improved Familiars for class-granted variant familiars like a shaman’s spirit animal, with a few exceptions: First, temporary familiars like the occultist’s soulbound puppet can’t become Improved Familiars from the Improved Familiar feat, and those class features don’t qualify you to take the Improved Familiar feat. Second, tumor familiars, as lumps of flesh in the shape of animals, can’t become Improved Familiars. In other cases, treat Improved Familiar as if it was an archetype to see if it stacks with other familiar options: since the two things it alters from a regular familiar are that it removes the ability to speak with animals of its kind and it prevents changing the creature type for non-animals, you couldn’t make a familiar that changes the creature type of non-animals or alters or removes speak with animals of its kind an Improved Familiar.

You are (all) most welcome.
If you liked this one, I highly suggest you look into The Sanos Abduction (Chronicle), The Green Market (what happened here before), and two unrelated ones, The Night Marches of Kalkamedies and Valley of the Veiled Flame, (Chronicles).
All are pretty amazing.

Will do and thanks for the tips! I've already heard good things about Night March of Kalkamedies and will definitely watch for the others too :)
