After stepping out of the rain into the cave, Narnel addresses the others,
I did deviate from the plan, but this was a goblin and an Ogre. I do not suspect that you will get much out of this lot, even when our skills are wasted to revive the enemy. I heard them talking, and they were looking to have all of you for stew. Further conversation certainly would have led to potential damage. The plan was solid, but under the circumstances, it was best to act quickly, and Keaton did not take the initiative to cast until after the opportunity to attack arose for others, like myself. I apologize, but it turned out with a fine result.

" It could be some time before he wakes up though. It's an odd sort of place to set up an ambush to rob people here, Don't you think? "
She says to the group in general as she follows Molok back to the tomb entrance and steps inside out of the rain fiddling with the holy symbol that hangs about her neck.

As the group finds nothing of interest in the makeshift camp among the boulders Molok picks up the goblin and carries him with the rest of the group back to the tomb entrance. Once there Molok sits the creature onto the ground next to the door and then pulls it the rest of the way open. As he does so metal wagon wheel fittings crash down upon his head that had been set to fall if someone opened the door, the metal pieces fall with a loud crash. If anyone was inside then they would have definitely heard the noise that the make-shift alarm had made.
Cade said a few arcane words as the tip of his staff lit up and everyone pilled inside to get out of the rain. Molok set the goblin down right inside the door next to the mule before he moved forward with Cade while everyone else followed behind.
Inside the door is a passage, ten feet high by ten wide, running straight into the hill. Thirty feet later, it opens out into a square room, thirty feet by thirty feet, containing a stone block table. Stains and marks atop this slab suggest rusted objects were once arrayed on it. In the middle of the wall to the right of the entry passage, is a closed and severely rusted iron door.

Molok takes the goblin once again and moves into the chamber and sits the goblin down on the floor.
Narnel moves silently into the room and places his ear to the rusted iron door. As soon as he does so a ghostly apparition appears next to him. The form is roughly that of a humanoid male dressed in a chain shirt, shield and bearing a spear. While the apparition is translucent white in appearance it bears evidence of wounds that show it suffered a violent death and its head is that of a skull.
"You have been warned, leave this place, leave my masters tomb. OR DIE!!!" the ghostly figure says in a hollow, deathly tone of voice as he readies to attack anyone that tries to do him harm or does not obey. Prepares a ready attack action if anyone attacks him.
Upon the ghostly image forming and speaking the mule panics and pulls the reigns out of Kenna's hands and bolts out the door into the rain in a panic. Hee-hawing as it goes as loud as it can.

*Specter has a readied attack action if it is attacked. Ember has a readied reaction.
Names in shaded text have already went this round.
As Ember enters the room and takes up a position and joins in the conversation with the specter it turns its attention to her "I was chosen to guard my master in life and I FAILED. So I now protect him in death. Such as is my punishment until the day I can no longer do so. I do not wish to harm you but I will if you do not leave and leave hastily. I can not hold the powers that compel me to guard this place at bay for long. I wish not to be accountable for your deaths." the specter moans as if in pain as he talks. "LEAVE NOW" it screams in a ear piercing cry as its face twist and distorts in a violent fashion.

"And what ghost would need an alarm to know when to start spooking?" Vaneros demands. "Show yourself!"
Ooooh, you think he's bluffing, do you? That this is a mere illusion? A dark voice asks in Vaneros' head.
It could be… Well, else we're really screwed here... Vaneros thinks while gesturing to Molok to look out for the goblin.
If he really attacks us, we can still flee. I suppose it would be bound to this place and not able to follow us outside, he adds.
You suspect pretty much... the other voice laughs.
Well, I suspect this is an illusion. If I may: Wisdom (disbelief): 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (9) + 0 = 9

Round 1 Partial Update:
Round 1 Initiative Order: Mule, Keaton, Ember*, Molok*, Kenna, Cade, Narnel, Vaneros, Specter*
*Specter and Molok have a readied attack action if they are attacked. Ember has a readied reaction.
Names in shaded text have already went this round.
As Molok moves forward and questions the specter about its master the specter seems to regain control of its torment momentarily. "I... I .. no longer can remember his name. Has it been that long? No, you ... I must protect this tomb." it says in the disembodied voice.
Kenna meanwhile moves up the short hallway with weapons drawn.

You recall basic textbook knowledge of a specter. This is in general knowledge of what is known about them.
A specter is the angry, unfettered spirit of a humanoid that has been prevented from passing to the afterlife. Specters no longer possess connections to who or what they were, yet are condemned to walk the world forever. Some are spawned when dark magic or the touch of a wraith rips a soul from a living body.
Beyond Redemption. When a ghost's unfinished business is completed, it can rest at last. No such rest or redemption awaits a specter. It is doomed to the Material Plane, its only end the oblivion that comes with the destruction of its soul. Until then, it bears out its lonely life in forlorn places, carrying on forgotten through the ages of the world.
Undying Hatred. Living creatures remind the specter that life is beyond its grasp. The mere sight of the living overwhelms a specter with sorrow and wrath, which can be abated only by destroying said life. A specter kills quickly and mercilessly, for only by depriving others of life can it gain the slightest satisfaction. However, no matter how many lives it extinguishes, a specter always succumbs to its hatred and sorrow.
Dwellers in Darkness. Sunlight represents a source of life that no specter can ever hope to douse, and it pains them. When night falls, they leave their final resting places in search of living creatures to slay, knowing that few weapons can harm them in return. At the first light of dawn, they retreat back into the darkness, where they remain until night falls again.
Undead Nature. A specter doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep.

Ember shakes her head. She looks nervous or cautious and her voice quails just slightly as she speaks.
" I think it really is a ghost Vaneros. Be careful, few weapons are very effective against these spirits. Legends and My holy texts say they hate and hunt the living. They are beyond redemption. "
She furrows her brow and clasps her holy symbol tightly in her fist.

" It should be destroyed, but I... I'm not sure we are equipped for the task. "
She sets her feet shoulder width apart and pulls her amulet from around her neck. Her eyes smoulder like hot coals.

Cade holds his ground and prepares a spell just in case the specter attacks one of them.
Narnel meanwhile examines the rusty iron door in front of him. The door does not appear trapped and has no lock on it but it is rusted up pretty badly and probably would take a good shoulder thrust to get it open.
Vaneros calls out to something other than the specter to show itself trying to muster up the courage to believe the creature was just an illusion to scare them off. This seemed to infuriate the creature.
The spirit seemed to be in soundless conversation with itself before responding further "They do not believe... Must show them.. I will.. I must.. So be it." the ghostly creature says in its monotone reverberating ghostly voice.
It then floats effortlessly to the eastern wall with the stone slab and moves north passing right through the stone as if trying to prove a point to the group. Coming to a stop next to the unconscious goblin. It's form then withers and changes becoming a bright violent horrific appearing entity. No longer in the form of the man it once was but a vile reflection of all that is unholy. "You doubt ME!!!!!" it shrieks in a ear piercing scream.
New form of Specter (Click Here)
It reaches out a hand to touch the goblin on the floor. As its hand passes into the body of the sleeping goblin the skin around the area on the goblin begins to wither and decay as the life force seems to be sucked from the little creature as his entire body is drained like a spider draining its prey of fluid until all that is left is a dried husk of gray that could have easily passed for a corpse that had been dead for a hundred years.
"NOW RUN OR DIE!!!!!" The vile presence screamed.

Kenna was unprepared and stood her ground with her scimitars in hand. She was to weak to try and fight it with weapons that she was unsure would even be effective and her spells were more tasked to other things. She readied herself if the creature came her way.
Cade unleashed his vicious words against the creature, the words seemed to cause it pain as he screamed "I will not fail my master again. I will not. I will not." it howled. Cade took the opportunity to give Molok some encouraging words.
Narnel quietly retreats down the hallway after completing his inspection of the door to his satisfaction.
Vaneros fires off a bolt of pure force while slowly walking backwards. The blast misses the shifting creature and crashes against the wall behind it.
The Specter glides along the wall, enraged by what the priest had done to it with the holy energy, coming around staying out of reach of the stone man's readied weapon and swoops in on Ember, reaching out for her. As it grabs her by her arm the skin goes gray and shrivels her entire life force being drained of life. Her body crumples to the floor like a rag doll but as she hits the floor somehow her color begins to return.

Molok places his shoulder against the rusted iron door and Narnel pushes Molok to assist his efforts. The door gives and comes flying open revealing what is on the other side.
Beyond the rusted door is another square room, twenty feet by twenty feet, containing a stone coffin. The ceiling is cracked, allowing roots and rain water into the chamber from multiple points, although little collects here. At the coffin’s feet is a rusty iron chest. The sound of the running water fills your ears along with the strong earthy scent of the roots and dirt/mud that is present because of the rain. The entire room over loading your senses you can almost taste the earthiness of the room.

Cast Light on my bandana, move over to O10.
NOT advocating grave robbery, and I am not saying we should take what is obviously in the tomb because that is grave robbing. But. But I really want to know what is in that chest.
Also, it could be trapped. The last thing we need is that girl to come back here to play and get sliced navel to neck. You know who that old crown is gonna go and blame, us. She is gonna blame us because we didn't have the decency to undo the hazard in a tomb her rotten grand kid should not be in anyway. Then we are probably gonna get hunted down with a bounty on our heads. I bet that is what is going on here, people like us are coming out to help out this small town and then get blamed for things like this.
Er... so we need to, so we can salvage whatever reputation we are trying to create in Red Larch, no I say we MUST! WE MUST DISARM THE TRAP FOR ALL THEIR ROTTEN CHILDREN AND REMOVE ANYTHING HAZARDOUS WE WILL GET BLAMED FOR!!!!!!
 persuasion: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
If you pass the roll you can tell Keaton really does not care about any of the things he just said, he really just wants to see what is inside the box.
