Aye, I've been busy of late myself, but I try to check in regularly. Were we at a turning point somewhere that I didn't know about?
I don't think we're at a turning point yet. I'd have to go back and count how many days we've gone through to know. Has anybody heard from Lexibean? Should we maybe start considering looking for a new GM?
Last posting by Lexi was 41 days ago. I think its safe to assume whatever issues she was running in to got the better of her. Hope she's ok...
I'd be up for continuing with a new DM or restarting. I like your characters.

I suppose I can put out a call for a new GM, even though it seems like half of us have submitted for that new one that's recruiting.
I think I will avoid either a new recruitment, or a new GM. It seems like Durvin is a game killer. This is like the 4th or 5th he's been in, and once he even made it to 2nd level.

Sounds like what happens when I try to run Crypt of the Everflame. I've sent half a dozen adventuring parties out to retrieve it. Only one ever made it to the Crypt.

Greetings everyone. I'm Choon. I responded to your call for a replacement Gm, and am posting here via jlighter's invitation.
I would like to say up front that, should you accept me, this will be my first time GMing a PbP. I have participated in several so I do know my way around one, but I've never been on the other side of the screen, so to speak.
That said, I'm willing to take the journey, if youall are willing to have me. For posting style and such I suggest you look at Tolus the Serpent Servant's run in a recently TPK'd Legacy of Fire game. I am applying to another game at the moment with that alias so you may have to go back through the posts a bit. Alternately you can look at Olivius Telraven who just started a Runelords campaign with a different incarnation of Noro. Threw me for a loop when I first noticed her here in your gameplay thread.
Speaking of, I have read your gameplay thread in its entirety and I believe I can maintain the NPC's as they are now. I wish to cause as little disturbance to the game world as possible. Should you choose me, of course.
I keep on saying "should you choose me" because I want to emphasize that this is your game as of right now. I am applying to join it. If you feel I am unqualified or feel I will not match your group, please say so. I don't want to force myself on anyone.
If, however, you do accept my application, I look forward to sailing with youall. I'm tentatively (because I may still get rejected) excited about this. Ok, I'm really excited, but still. Your choice.

Durvin had targeted the ones furthest from friendly, and succeeded with Jape, and at least one step with Syl (I think).

Sadly, having stated that I wasn't sure I was going to continue, I am getting excited to see this go forward once again. I actually haven't looked at the request for GM thread, either, so I don't know what may be going on there. I am reluctant to make a vote per se, since I may not even stay involved.
Not much went on. I have a maybe from Isabella and you, a yes from Noro, and a proxy maybe from Sarenth as he invited me here. No word from Reck and we know the Grippli is gone, which is sad.
So I stand at 1 yes, 3 maybe's and 1 unaccounted for. Not sure what exactly that means. I would like to get this going, if possible, to maintain the interest of people like yourself, Durvin. There are still people to win, and you all are making fantastic headway.

I think I'm staying, and I have no issues with you taking over (as one of my first PbP's was me taking over a CotCT that is still going).
All the same, I don't think we need to replace the frog (unless it is only because he was a Divine class). We still have 5 without him, and I can heal and use healing items.

Friendly/helpful: Sandra Quinn (special connection to Sarenth), Rosie Cusswell (Brillup returned violin, counting as helpful for everyone), Jack Scrimshaw (Healed by brillup), Crimson 'Cog' Cogward (regaled with the bilges fight)
Indifferent: Barefoot Samms Toppin, Giffer Tobbs, "Ratline" Rattsberger, Tilly Bracket, Slippery Syl Lonegan (after an epic diplo + nat 20 aid another)
Unfriendly/hostile: Conchobhar Turlach Shortstone, Badger Medlar, Shivikah, Aretta Bansion, Fipps Chumlet, Jaundiced Jape, Maheen, Tam "Narwhal" Tate

Go back and look at my rolls and conversations with Jaundiced Jape. He should either friendly or helpful.
I had a 24, then a 21, then a 23. The last one could have even gotten two steps if he was far enough.

I'll say you're not entirely certain about Jape. He's definitely not hostile anymore, but he's not exactly going out of his way to help you either. Being mute makes it kinda tough to tell.
