I can post at the most random times. Like when there's nothing to do at work or the wife isn't mad at me for being on the computer too much.

Is everyone under the assumption that those conversations are over and you all are waiting for me just as I'm waiting for you all to continue the conversations?
Should I move things along?

Unfortunately this is a chapter of things Isabella's not so good at, but ohhhhhh, when things shift gears....

Sorry for the recent silence, perfect storm of no time at work and college homework. I didn't really think there was much for Durvin to say beyond thanking the two that said they enjoyed it.

No worries. Life happens and my policy is life first, then games.

BLAH! Things finally start happening and the dice BETRAY ME.
Story of my life.
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
At least you didn't fail the climb checks. That would have been bad. Lets hope they decide to be nice later.
Just waiting on Sarenth, yes?
Male Emberkin Conjurer 3
Possibly the worst climber aboard, as a note. Not going to make it without extraordinary luck.
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
By the way, the extra low DC for this extra bit of GM-brand Spice is brought to you by Lookout Durvin and his taking 10 up in the crow's nest. :)
The wave isn't actually in the AP, but I needed something to set up what's coming next.
Female human fighter/3 HP 26/26 AC: 12 F:3 R:3 W:-1 init:+2 perc:-2
Is that thunder?
...Or is the DM rolling for damage?
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
>:-)
That's supposed to be evil, but I'm not sure.
Female human fighter/3 HP 26/26 AC: 12 F:3 R:3 W:-1 init:+2 perc:-2
Meh, close enough.
Better not be no kraken bout to come after the ship, just got through dealin' with one in another campaign.
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
Nah, but Davy Jones might be carving graffiti into the underside of your hull. :P

GM question part A: If we need to, can we make a lasso out of rope to snare her?
Part B: If so, will you allow True Strike to apply to that roll?
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
A) If you want to take the time, yes, but it'd take at least one round, I would think. Things happen though and it Might be getting much harder to hit her soon...
B) Yes. It is an attack roll, technically.
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
Sarenth:
A good idea, however, (and this is by the checks in the AP) there is still a decent possibility that you will end up stuck like Rosie, even with a +8 and a Swim speed of 30. Also, I'd rule that the middle of a storm counts as rough terrain (which is why Rosie isn't just getting aboard all on her own). If you want to take the chance I'll not stop you, but fair warning: it's not pretty out there.
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
Also: I will be doing a summary post for this as everything is happening all at once, so just post your actions and I'll take care of the results.
Male Emberkin Conjurer 3
Okay. Well, my theory is that I only need to reach her. I already have a rope in hand, and then we can be reeled in. That's my hope, anyway. :)
Half-Orc
Sarenth, I love the phrase "damn your eyes". I read a novel called 'Under enemy colours' and the crew called themselves "the blind in heaven" because their captain had damned their eyes so often!
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
Isabella/Durvin: If you have nothing to do, just post that you noticed the event so I don't skip over someone who had a plan just because I'm chomping at the bit. If that seems awkward/inappropriate to post something in gameplay, just say so here.
As a new GM, I'm really paranoid about leaving people behind with my... enthusiastic... posting pace.
Female human fighter/3 HP 26/26 AC: 12 F:3 R:3 W:-1 init:+2 perc:-2
That's okay, it's better than the opposite problem. Or the opposite attitude about said problem, for that matter.

Good to see youall again. I was beginning to worry. :)
Male Emberkin Conjurer 3
Sorry. Every time I've opened my laptop to look at that post to respond to it, I've been away from Internet access.
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
No problem. By worried I just mean I was about to post "??" in here, not give up the ghost.
You'll not be rid of me that easy. >:D

I'm not going anywhere! I'm a full-time mechanical engineering student and work 50 hrs/week as a machinist. Sometimes there'll be a run of a few days where my time is... Limited. I will never be mad if you move on without me, roleplaying can be retconned.

And youall are really close to lvl 2, in case you were wondering. :)
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
That was a bit later than I wanted, but there we go. :)
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
I have updated the campaign info to include better descriptions of the NPC's and individual attitudes as of right now. Should help youall in your Diplomancing. :)

Reck, was that mumbled or full-voice. I can read it either way.

Sorry, sorry. Im here, but only got a couple minutes before class. I shall post in a few hours (I hope.) If not, tomorrow morning for me, early as I can muster. You better BELIEVE I have a response for this new development.
just hang tight, folks. I feel a change in the wind, and it's about to get nasty.
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
Nastier than that storm? This may turn into homebrew if youall get much more murderous against key NPC's. :P
Male Halfling Sea-Singer Bard 4 (AC: 17 [T: 14 /F: 14]; HP: 26/26; F+1, R+7, W+4; Init: +3; Perc: +9)
I told my group to bear in mind that it is a fairly sandbox AP, and as such there is a reason Captain Harrigan, Mr Plugg, and Scourge are in the positions of authority they are in. It could be a sign of their ability to handle a crew of sailors without fear of repercussion.
Also, keep in mind the law of the sea, acting against the orders of those in charge can be considered mutiny. You don't mutiny without being certain that the lion's share of the crew is on your side.
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
This is also true.
And I've seen his stat block. ;)
Half-Orc
Can't I kill an important plot NPC? Pleeeeeease? Just one? *anime eyes*
in all seriousness, Reck doesn't have a problem with Plugg or the mystery captain. Cappy is an unknown factor, and Plugg seems quietly competent. Scourge seems like a two-bit bully who depends upon his masters for protection, and he's pissed Reck off mighty fine. Where Reck comes from, beating someone to death in front of the whole tribe is an acceptable way of advancing your career.
I'm not out to wreck your story, I assume there will be plenty of time to take revenge on these guys. But - if Reck ever finds himself with the opportunity to True Strike kick Scourge to the sharks, or off the crow's nest, or murk him in the hold... He's probably gonna take it.
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
No worries. If he dies I'll just wing it. I love the RP opportunities its creating. Stay true to your characters and we should do fine.
Female human fighter/3 HP 26/26 AC: 12 F:3 R:3 W:-1 init:+2 perc:-2
Oh trust me; Scourge ain't gonna last long by my reckoning. He does not know how seriously he has just f***ed up in a fellow Bosun's eyes.
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
You're right, he doesn't. :)
The Man. The Myth. The Mask!
However, I wouldn't recommend bringing it to a head right now as most of the crew would join scourge still and you'd find yourself at least Sweatboxed if not Keelhauled.
Male Emberkin Conjurer 3
And we really don't want to go head to head with the Captain around to help. I've also seen his stat block. Ran this one for my brother once. Didn't finish book one.
