I've been doing some planning for Reck. At 3rd level he's going to dip sorcerer, to qualify him for dragon disciple down the line. I can take the Tattooed sorcerer archetype and gain a tattoo familiar. That can be any animal I want. Tooky Tooky!

I'm very much looking foward to Reck getting a baby Petri and then immediately absorbing it into his skin. I'm hoping Sarenth's eyes actually bug out. :D

Just wait till I get combat patrol. 40 ft. AOO's. My turn will come up and Isabella will just go "Nope. you first." then somebody puts a toe forward and gets SNAPPED. "Might want to stay put, mate."

Now, Reck doesn't know this, so I didn't say it in the gameplay thread, but sailors have historically turned to belaying pins and marlinspikes for weapons of necessity. Durvin could have kitchen knives on him with no suspicion.

Well, take whatever time you need for you. A 'turn for the horrific' sounds like something that should take priority over the game. We understand.
It was pretty horrific. But I also think that these boards which I found in an effort to have hobbies other than the drama that engulfed me this week, were something if a lifesaver. So I plan to continue doing them. Just tired from moving and being on planes for two days.

Out of curiosity, do we have any idea what calendar date the adventure began, roughly? If not, it's no problem. I'm just wondering for myself because I'm trying to get myself to keep journals/chronicles of in-game events as writing practice. I've seen pieces of a pretty good one (I think it was one of the members of the Dev's RotRL game), and I wanted to try to do something similar.
Lexi, if I may recommend that you roll initiatives for everybody. That way we skip having to wait for everybody to check in before the fighting starts

Not really. I'm equally comfortable putting "date unknown." I just know that a few of the APs actually have dates tied to the start of the adventure (Kingmaker, Carrion Crown), and I was wondering if S&S did as well. Once I have a few entries written, I can start posting them here if people want to read/critique. :P

Probably whoever is going to be our captain. Traditionally, pirate captains were entitled to several shares of the loot, officers two shares to a share and a half, and crew one share each. The captain got to pick his lucre, then officers, then crew. It might be flavor appropriate to do that.
Alternately, the person who will end up being our quartermaster. Seems to be how the Wormwood runs it, for what that's worth.
One alternate system for loot distribution onboard ship was: captain took one share, captain took one share for the ship, one share each to officers and crew. Personally I always thought it made sense for the ship to get one share for purposes of upkeep and maintenance.
Oh, I mean OOC, lol
I just had the weirdest idea of how this might work. Shall we hold elections for party offices?
Party President = captain of ship
Party Treasurer = tracker of loot
Party Secretary = keeper of minutes/scribe
Party Chef = bringer of chips and soda and candy
etc.

Hmmm. I volunteer for party morale officer. I seem to have a knack for gluing people together when things get dicey, and Izzy over here is mainly good for busting heads that get outta line and motivating lazy crewmen, heh.
My strengths are probably going to lie in keeping the ship afloat and tinkering with it to enhance its performance. I can probably handle ship's stores and loot along with that, if everybody else has things they would rather do. Planning on training Appraise next level, at any rate.
