Okay. I've emailed Paizo and got nothing back. I've waited for them to make a change for almost a week and I'm getting antsy to play as I'm sure you all are.
I may just start a new campaign thread and post it here or keep posting as a player and hope they eventually change ownership. Regardless of what I do, I won't have a post up until Monday, since I'm home for the holiday.
Just know that I haven't forgotten about the game and I'm sorry about the delay. I'm excited to get started!

No worries. I'll be heading into a busy few days m'self.
Will still be looking in, just only every twelve or so hours.

I'll have the next narrative post up in a bit.
This was my first PbP "combat" and I can see how it might be overwhelming for some GMs to run it "by the book." What I think I might do in the future is average out all of the PC's and the enemy's Initiative rolls and then let one entire side act before the other. That way I don't have to retroactively alter a player's actions based off of new information.
For instance, Pari cast a spell, but the pirates technically acted before her and could have moved to block her from leaving. It would slow play down even more if she had to go back and change her actions.
Does that seem like a good idea?

I've seen a lot of GMs do the "Block Initiative" format where the entire party acts as a group and all the enemies act as a group. I've been in a game running it both ways and, admittedly, the block initiative style does speed the combats up a great deal.

Hey guys, sad post time.
I regret saying it, but I don't think I can run this game. Between my career (which has recently picked up quite a bit) and the two games I run IRL, I'm not left with a lot of time to try and run a third game.
I'm not sure how to go forward at this point. If you guys are still interested in playing, I can try and shop the campaign out to another GM. If not, I can close the campaign.
Hopefully, some day soon, I can run a PbP game, but for now, it's not in the cards for me. Sorry to drag you all through this again.

Hey, not to worry Master DM Sir.
I understand Real Life taking precedence.
I think it would be nice to maybe see if we can find some one else to pick up the reigns?
Much cheers to all.

Cap'n Fox Shadows |

So after much thought, the ol' Cap'n has a thought. A very sneaky one, that would require another intelligent, willing participant. The first game of S&S I was in had a rotating DM (going between one and the other, between each "chapter" as it were). Are there any among this ragtag bunch that would want to take up the mantle of the second half of this team?
To be clear, if someone were to be interested in this option, they would still keep their character. It would simply take a less active role while they were DM-ing. For examples of this in play, you can view the completed S&S campaign entitled "We Be Pirates, You Be Bootie."
Thoughts on this plot to reinvigorate the escape?
