Just to note, I am still here, I just can't think of anything to add to the current scene, so am remaining quiet :P
No worries. I'm still fine-tuning a way to make posts and not inadvertently leave anyone out.
Do feel free to make an "atmosphere" post, or post in here about what the charater's immediate intentions are. Fluff posts are nice, but you can only fluff so much.
Well at the minute Chara wants to find out what raised owlbears, as whomever did either needed to find bodies or have killed the owlbears themselves.
Chara hasn't forgotten about the original reason they are out here but with no leads to go on she is grasping at straws to anything that might be related, which is why she suggested finding the necromancer in the first place.
Hey guys I'm sorry to say I just haven't got the time to participate on any sort of regular basis in this game any more. I'm going to cut back most of my PbPs, but to be honest I've just been overwhelmed with a heavy work schedule and moving into a new place... I don't feel like I've been contributing enough at all and I don't think I'll be able to for at least a while longer, so I think it'd just be best to step out now.
Sorry about this, and goodluck with the game! It's a very cool idea and I'm excited to check back on it in the future and see how the story develops.

Alright... Well, that's two that are out, and with a lack of posting going into the third week, this game may be on its way to shutting down.
I can say that I've noticed about a ~3mo window for any PbP in general, and it is a rare one that makes it over that hump. If it does, then it is golden, but that is a rare thing.
So, thoughts on this PbP? Criticisms? Opinions?
We never really picked up momentum. Didn't fully recover from that stumble at the beginning.
My advice would be to lose the letter and instead go with a face to face with an NPC. This allowes all the players to asks questions and get to know how the other character's act right from the start.
