Layali Amani
I'm having a blast so far. I'm pretty new to play by posts myself, but I've GM'ed for many years.
The feedback I would give for you is that I'm still having a little bit of trouble sometimes getting the overall picture of the scene. Like it wasn't obvious to me that the watchtower wasn't easily accessible, even after I went back and reread it. I guess my player bias of everything should be simple/easy/waiting for me blinds me a bit.
Also, for the '400 XP for the party' doesn't that mean 80 each or 400 each? :)
Thanks, and keep up the good work!

80 each. I'll divide the rewards from here on out, and work on making sure I describe the scene better as well as adding an OOC part with the pertinent details.

Opinions on the game so far? Anything I'm doing wrong (or right?)
One thing I've been meaning to mention is that I very much like your descriptions of environments. You seem to do a great job of setting the scene and build up a fitting mood/atmosphere. At least in my opinion.
As Djon and Layali said, sometimes a few of the more pertinent details do seem to get lost. Still, I think this is going fairly well so far and I imagine the beginnings of games are probably the most disorganized, for both GM's and players, until things start to smooth out as people get used everyone else.
Also, like Layali, I'm pretty new to PbP's (and, in terms of years playing, relatively new to that too), so if I do something that's nonsensical, feel free to let me know. But I'm definitely enjoying this game so far :P

If I've done my math right we should be at 600 XP total?
Correct.

Are the walls supposed to be solid with windows and doors, or are they really gapped that way for like arrow slits or something?
It was late, but I wanted to get something tangible up so that everyone would have an idea of how much room they were working with. I'm sure there may be solid lines in YOMM, but I was getting something out quickly.
The structure itself has that light and delicate design typical of the Elves, though it can likely stand up to a lot before breaking. It also seems to be integrated well with the tree. Not quite seamlessly, but close.

As near as I can tell, Ringtail (Aradesh) has not posted anywhere in about a month. If he doesn't post or get a message up by the end of this month, I'll fade him out.
The Lost Voice
Still here, end of semester stuff.. I'll try to have a post up by sunday. work and obligations are draining me.
Chara Ring
Sorry still here, just struggling to post something other than: "We continue on."
We're getting a lot of scenery I'm just finding very little to react to, might be my fault I'm not sure.
The Lost Voice
No worries. I'm just overly cautious about taking things as given, since I don't want to shoehorn the party into various things besides (travelling). I assume there would be some opinions formed from one party member to the next, about their respective party members, but that is a lot of internal dialogue that would plausibly not make it into posts beyond the external of "we continue on."
I'm also using it as a gauge to see how much of the party converses IC instead of OOC, since it otherwise seems that I may be just moving the "party" pip from encounter to encounter. I'll have a post up tomorrow after work.

I would probably make an opinion on other party members reacting to events as opposed to us walking places. Such as how I view Layali as impatient, always shooting first. Finding that Rethe is somewhat sad and likes to beat himself up. Or Djon likes to stay silent and keep his pride. Most of that was reacting to being attacked or investigating something. Just walking someplace doesn't lend itself to that really.
I would love to talk more IC but so far I've found not much to talk about other than this monster which we haven't found anything about. I'd really like to discuss IC opinions on it and what we find out. The creatures in this area for example have nothing to do with our mission (as far as we know at the moment) so we gloss over them. Most of the characters would just say they are strange, nod in agreement and move on.

Finding that Rethe is somewhat sad and likes to beat himself up.
I do what now? :P
And yeah, mostly in agreement. I would like some more IC conversations between party members, but for the most part, I'm not really sure what our characters (or at least my character) have to say to the others, so I'm mostly only doing that reactively.
Also, sorry for scarce posting as of late. I've been somewhat busy, but will try to be around pretty frequently. However, if you ever need or want to move something along quickly and I haven't posted, feel free to autopilot Rethe for anything that's pretty straightforward (e.g. party is moving on -> Rethe goes with them).
Like I said, I'll try to post pretty regularly of course, though I have also purposely held off posting on a few basic things, just to avoid clutter.

Since you all are firmly embarked upon this course now, I can say this:
Tracking down the information personally was never something that the Elders wanted you to do-- at least not yet.
That was why Djon was sent your way, that was why Rethe has a list of contacts (for three cities, no less).
That said, it has been an challenge, and I'll admit that building a decent disturbance within the forest is a bit difficult. Nonetheless, I've got a fairer plan now. *grin*

Feel free to describe the grid in the standard number/letter scheme. I'll see about getting some letters in there.

I am hoping they act like normal skeletons, high AC but no HP at all. So we should just have to land a single strike. (Here's hoping, otherwise we might be taking a lot of damage from this fight)

Roll if you like, take half if you like, but you're set in that method once you take it.

Roll if you like, take half if you like, but you're set in that method once you take it.
So, PFS style (1/2 HD +1) is ok? IE: Layali gets 6 HP + whatever bonuses.
BTW - Nice roll Djon! :)
Chara Ring
I think I'll go with average dice, I have terrible luck with hp.
So:
+5 hp
+7 skill points
+Clever explorer: Disable device and perception gain a bonus of 1/2 my level.
+Uncanny dodge.
+1 to all my knowledge skills.
Rethe Carron
I am a fan of average HP over rolling, so I will do that as well, which makes +6 if this is indeed PFS style.
Got one more spell per day, for a total of 4 plus his Cha bonus. Also learned Ill Omen as a mystery spell through Dual-Cursed. I'll be picking up a 0-level spell as well... I'm actually considering Purify Food and Drink, in case our investigations take us somewhere it could actually be useful. Maybe unlikely, but kinda seems possible with the setting... I'll think on it a bit, any advice from the party is welcome.
And I get a good ol' 4 skill points, 1 of which will go into Knowledge (Planes), Knowledge (History), Perception, and Acrobatics each.
And I believe that is about all that needs doing.
Edit: Actually, I'll skip history and put the point into Spellcraft instead. And I forgot my favored class bonus, which will be the Catfolk special to add to his spell list. So, I will go ahead and take Purify Food and Drink, as well as Light.
Edit 2:
+1 Will
+1 BAB
+1 1st Level spell/day
+4 Skill Points (1 to Knowledge (Planes), Perception, Acrobatics, and Spellcraft each)
Learned Ill Omen (1st), Purify Food and Drink (0), and Light (0)

For anyone that is just gaining a level in their previous class, the level gain can be considered to be immediate. It is only when the class gained is something different (Wizard-> Barbarian, as an example), and only then where the training would come into effect.
