"Are you alright apart from that?" Arloric asks the man. "Need water? Food?"

1 person marked this as a favorite.

@Telerin, it was Greater Teleport, and it was a spell-like ability rather than a traditional spell.

Kemat and Arloric check on the prisoner, and he eagerly accepts the offer of food and water. Then Telerin channels energy into the room, and he shudders as it washes over him.

Fort save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

His tone immediately changes from that of a weakened, desperate man to something altogether different. In a firm, appraising voice, he says, "Clever. And here I believed I'd thought of everything."

The manacles fall off as his form shifts.

Alexa moves into flanking position and strikes, landing a solid blow.

The succubus steps back out of reach, and teleports to the north end of the room, by the open door to what looks like a storage room. Alexa sees her pull a rapier from an otherwise bare set of shelves, and readies herself to fight.

Well...last time I used Angelic Bond was Mar 28, 2023. Also, I'm not currently using it, at least not yet... I just used Menacing Presence (a mythic ability and I have 7 mythic points (one spent today)). I've used Power of Faith today, but I can use that up to 9 times in a day.

Aha. I got it mixed up with Power of Faith. Carry on!

Allergic Reaction (Ex)
A goblin dog’s dander is highly irritating to all creatures save those with the goblinoid subtype. A non-goblinoid creature damaged by a goblin dog’s bite, who deals damage to a goblin dog with a natural weapon or unarmed attack, or who otherwise comes into contact with a goblin dog (including attempts to grapple or ride the creature) must make a DC 12 [14] Fortitude save or break out in an itching rash. A creature affected by this rash takes a –2 penalty to Dexterity and Charisma for 1 day (multiple allergic reactions do not stack).

Remove disease or any magical healing removes the rash instantly. This is a disease effect. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Smite Evil/Good
1/day as a swift action (adds Cha bonus (+0) to attack rolls and damage bonus equal to HD (+1) against evil/good foes; smite persists until target is dead or the celestial/fiendish creature rests).

Augment Summoning: Items in brackets [] represent the spell being cast by a character with the Augment Summoning feat.

Telerin begins chanting the language of magic and begins summoning a celestial goblin dog, from the higher planes.

OK. Looks like some of my map updates did not publish because I see an old map is up there. <Insert random curses about automation here>. And also, someone tell the GM they need to be checking on this stuff.

I have posted the updated/correct map. The maps from the previous couple of "updates" are lost forever, sadly. But this will get us back on track.

I apologize for this mistake. As you might guess, I've been distracted lately. Nothing serious. Just lots of competing priorities.

@Alexa, @Darya, decide which of you wants to move in to engage here.

Be sure to review the corrected map. There's no flanking position.

OK. I will just move Darya into position so she can attack, and remove the flanking bonus. It takes 10' of movement to get there, so she'll only get one attack.

Telerin starts casting a spell.

Darya steps in to attack with Radiance, but she's unable to land a blow against the succubus.

That would have been a nasty hit!

Alexa attempts to tumble through the succubus's space, but the demon is too fast even for the nimble aasimar.

Even with your surge that was not enough, and this provokes an AoO. You are stopped in Arloric's square, but per the rules you can't end your movement there so you have to move back to the last legal space, which I'll choose as J4.

succubus, melee vs Alexa: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Fortunately, Alexa is fast enough to avoid an opportunistic swipe from the succubus's sword.

There's pop in the air as another succubus appears in the room. You recognize this one from the chapel area not long ago. Immediately after, a babau demon casually strolls in through the open door.

The succubus Dary and Uriel are engaging steps back into the closet and pops away, reappearing on the far side of the room.
