Okay, we need to find a way in from the roof. There is the glass roof, the hole in the ground and perhaps another way in.

Since we are going to be in close quarters, we need to be very careful that we don't get bunched up so much that we all get hit by an area effect spell. Having some of us take cover in doorways if we find ourselves in a hallway is a good idea. Daniel's military experience will be very useful.

I suggested Gerard scouting since as a rogue, he has good stealth skills and can avoid destructive spells better than the rest of us. Getting a look around our entry point to me is just a good idea.

I'm planning on Buffing us with Resist Energy-Communal(Fire) and Protection from Energy-Communal(Lightning) since those are high threat spells.

Baldwin. While the Summoner can be a pain with all the extra critters running around, what made you disallow the alchemist and gunslinger in this game and the RA one?

The alchemist and summoner are unbalanced in my opinion. The gunslinger does not fit the world theme.

A search on this discussion thread should reveal previous conversations about those classes. If I recall Truk had itemized how broken the classes were.

In essence they lend themselves to be overpowered and abused.

Depends, they can choose the CL when crafting... minimum for spell to their level. Could be CL 1. 1 Minute... still can get some coverage.

60' Cone template cuts a pretty wide swath (sp?), think he can check the perimeter in about 2 uses if 1 minute each.

I'm just glad to be using UMD (first time EVER for me, any character). Never been into it.

Also, I think we are getting paralyzed by the options and what we have been told about this place. Multiple entry points and no teleportation/summoning so if we go down the hole we we may very well be trapped.

Okay so.

1.Down the hole, we should see if we can get back out with a minimum of hassle. Perhaps leave a rope tied off.

2.If this does lead to someplace significant, we should make this a quick scouting trip and not fully commit until we can ensure we can get ourselves out in case we need to retreat.

You were provided options because there are options. You've been given several potential methods inside. You can begin by going from top down or you can enter at the ground floor and then decide do you want to head upstairs first or downstairs first. Alternately, you can explore the hole were ever that may lead. You also have two separate buildings facing you.

The no teleportation may, or may not, exist for the whole complex, what you know is it there is no teleporation with the outer shell of the building from what you've explored.

I need to sign off for a few hours.

Doing much better, thank you! He's super skittish around me since I've had to administer injections, but he's made leaps and bounds (geddit?) in his recovery. Fingers crossed that he continues to improve.

I will probably be leaving the game once this module is over. I find that I really no longer enjoy the game with the mounting frustrations with how things are going and it is becoming more a chore than an enjoyment and as Baldwin has noted, how the big dungeon crawls grate on things.

I know I have complained before but things are bleeding from OOC and into IC with dickering, delays and other problems(We can't even get into a building after 3 days!) I find myself angry over every little thing.

I think ending the shadowcurse is pretty much the big goal anyway and something the AP has ignored for 1-1/2 books, something many others have agreed with.

I have greatly enjoyed gaming with people here and hope we can continue to game together.

Sorry to see one of the last original players depart but I understand. The remaining part of the AP will likely take a month or longer to complete. You may want to step back before we begin if your enjoyment is gone and your frustrated.

I just don't know. I want to help the others and feel that it will hurt their enjoymentif I leave.

I love the roleplaying most of all and want to help Orsin with his problems and meet up with Duncan again.

I will see how I feel in a few hours after thinking about it.
