Question: Do you need to move 5 or 10 feet to initiate a bull rush. I thought you had to but in reading the rule, it does not state movement is necessary.
Bull Rush
You can make a bull rush as a standard action or as part of a charge, in place of the melee attack. You can only bull rush an opponent who is no more than one size category larger than you. A bull rush attempts to push an opponent straight back without doing any harm. If you do not have the Improved Bull Rush feat, or a similar ability, initiating a bull rush provokes an attack of opportunity from the target of your maneuver.
If your attack is successful, your target is pushed back 5 feet. For every 5 by which your attack exceeds your opponent's CMD you can push the target back an additional 5 feet. You can move with the target if you wish but you must have the available movement to do so. If your attack fails, your movement ends in front of the target.
An enemy being moved by a bull rush does not provoke an attack of opportunity because of the movement unless you possess the Greater Bull Rush feat. You cannot bull rush a creature into a square that is occupied by a solid object or obstacle. If there is another creature in the way of your bull rush, you must immediately make a combat maneuver check to bull rush that creature. You take a –4 penalty on this check for each creature being pushed beyond the first. If you are successful, you can continue to push the creatures a distance equal to the lesser result. For example, if a fighter bull rushes a goblin for a total of 15 feet, but there is another goblin 5 feet behind the first, he must make another combat maneuver check against the second goblin after having pushed the first 5 feet. If his check reveals that he can push the second goblin a total of 20 feet, he can continue to push both goblins another 10 feet (since the first goblin will have moved a total of 15 feet).

Yup. I can keep the spells I prepared today, but I can't prepare new ones til I go through with the ritual. She loses a +2 bonus to will saves and has to restart with less spells known because she bought some...
Erm. It wouldn't be possible to ress him, would it?

IMO surrender is not an option here. This is ground zero for the Council of Thieves and we are right in Ilnerik's lair. Surrender would mean the next and last thing that we see is Ilnerik strolling in through the door while tossing the Morrowfall into a lead box for handy disposal, so run or continue fighting.

I think Phem should have 62hp, so Frank has 31hp and is at Death's door.
You joined at levl 9, so guessing... 6 (max), 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4 for 38, plus Con and Fave Class = 56hp.
Leveled up and rolled 1d6, got a 4+2=6. For 62 total HP.
With DM approval of course.

I don't want to reroll.
Just saying looks like that method was used when the character was generated, like when I joined. Subsequently, we've rolled to level up.
Just trying to keep Frank alive by any legit means possible. Since familiar HP is based on Caster HP, I reviewed HP.
Trying to help... I'll shut up now.

I don't think he can win a hp race with us!! (Or me at least ;)
If we go down, I am all for pimping the sh!t out of the next party.
I'm talking MEGA saves, hp and DPR through the roof.

Rant deleted, sigh
Andrea if your not enjoying the game step back and away. It's only a game. I mentioned before beginning this section that this part of the book is long and deadly with very little RP. Sandor is a difficult NPC/enemy.
The book has it written that he asks for your surrender once...if you do, certain things happen, if you don't he fights.

Something I would have liked is a reminder that Summoning doesn't work in the building. You did tell us this when we were outside but in real time it has been a while and so I forgot while it has been a short time for the PCs and so a 'Rememember summoning doesn't work' would have saved me some stress.
I am sorry for my outburst.

I'm OK with all of it, except that turning a spell back stuff... Sounds iffy and egregious.
But he is taking it easy on us, with Greater Invisibility... He could stay unseen the whole time, even while attacking.
We knew about invisibility, we never prepped for it. We need fireball! Oldie, but a goody... Didn't someone get necklace of fireball?
Could Gerard Quickdraw the spheres and rapid shot them, causing multiple explosions?

Spell Turning is a wizard spell I believe.
But as I said, a reminder about the summoning situation would have been nice. There were 2 times when a 'Remember there is no summoning in the building' reminder could have been given before I finished the spell(When I started casting and when I asked about actions after finishing.) If I was determined to push my luck and try to 'beat' the dimensional lock, I would then have no complaints.
Euphemia has the necklace of fireballs I believe. Plus it all depends on what Sandor decides to use on us.

Andrea the extradimensional traveling was discussed several times. You even discussed it recently, Here. If your not paying attention to the game thread that's on you, not me.
I previously mentioned this section was a long complicated dungeon crawl that offered little RP'ing opportunity. That was partially why I let Andrea get her RP'ing time in before entering. This section of the book is difficult, at points unfair, it has some nasty NPC/Foes and devious traps and as I forewarned death could occur. This is a hard gritty game, that has the heroes fighting for every room, there are no rainbows and unicorns to make you feel good. If you come across a challenging enemy or room you could try to bypass it or even circle back to it later (maybe you'll find something that could help you). It's not like I didn't warn you. However, if you choose to enter or engage in combat, there is a chance for success and a chance for death.
The tantums and whining really need to stop, it's a game. If the game does not meet your expectations move on to one that fulfills your gaming needs.

I am used to losing and dying hoooorribly, This will just be another tally to add. Besides, I am typing on a ds in a hammock. Things are weird, but awesome.
I can't make another char on my ds by myself, though. Can I count on help, if I die in making another, even if it be pregen?
As for spell reversal, no one can use it all the time. Greater spell turning is a magic item property.
I say we help Daniel with all we got and, you know, try not to go down in flames.
