Kinda like a giant scorpion from Asgard....;)
And, as has already been establshed, I have no problems with that either. At least I am consistent. ;P
Or like Thor's goats; you could eat them, just don't break the bones and suck out the marrow; throw all the bones in the skin when you're done.
The (literal) breaking of that rule was the setup of this fantastic set of comics. I loved, loved, loved these when I was growing up, but I don't know if they were ever translated into English.

Vattnisse wrote:Oh sure - but the cleric domains now encompass most of the stuff covered by Alwyn's PrC; I would never have taken any levels off cleric with him. Damn, the new domains rock. Janosz, OTOH, stays right as he is, PrC and all.Good point.
Which was kind of one of the goals of the PF I suppose, to make the base classes good enough, and with enough range of ability and flavour that people didn't feel the need to level dip or take a PrC to get the character they wanted.
If we convert Eberron, I will be sticking with my two levels of Exorcist, though I might be more inclined to keep advancing as paladin beyond that. We'll need to look at whether any changes would be needed to warforged to bring them in line with the core races, or whether they're good enough as is.
If we convert RotRL, I'll probably speak to Aubrey about swapping Elisile's mystic ranger levels for standard ranger, as a variant class you almost need to rebuild it based on the new ranger, and I don't think its really worth the effort.
I don't see much point forcing Alwyn down a PrC if a straight PFRPG cleric works for him. Likewise with Lightbringer and Elisile, frankly. I think Rod the Exorcist (cue spinning heads and projectile green vomit) will work - I'll think about that and come up with some ideas too.

A "mysterious benefactor" may be entrusting me with a copy of the RPG Core Rules sometime next week. I'll need some time to look over it all before I can make a decision. Sorry about the absence today, lots of running around town applying for Medicaid and other assorted welfare programs. I'm beat. I'll get in an update before I hit the sack, though.

Bloody hell. Lightbringer, Rolund and Janosz are all respectable fighters, but Runzyl makes them look like a bunch of anemic old geezers. Good thing he's on our side.
Remember when I said "Eh, he has a lot of attacks, but he'll never equate out to the sheer damage potential of a two-handed weapon wielder?
Damage: 11+8+10 (PA) = 29 + 6 (smite) + 12 (charging smite) + 18 (Devastating smite) = 65.
I rest my case. Holy f*!+ing crap. 65 damage. And a nat 20 on the attack. Had this NOT been undead, and that had been a crit, you would've topped the 120 damage mark. Sick and wrong, my friend. Sick and wrong.

Well, lordzack managed to get a free copy when someone on the boards accidentally ordered two and offered to give one away. Said Zack is also unemployed (which is why he couldn't afford the full tome) and I though "Hello, is Fatey masquerading with an alias?" Then you mentioned a mystery benefactor, I added two and two and got five. Ah well, so long as you are getting a copy, that's the main thing. I had a flick through the feats last night - good stuff, and they have fixed Great Cleave to boot.

I realised I missed 1 point from bardic music – so 66!
Assuming I had confirmed a critical, I don’t think I would be able to double the damage from devastating smite … so total would be 114. That would be cool.

Ah, heh, that is an amusing coincidence. But it is, alas, just that... coincidence. I only wish that I could reward your cunning detective work with a more affirmative response.

That was the best production of Shakespeare I've ever seen by miles. Directed by Sam Mendes with Ethan Hawke, Rebecca Hall (the dark haired girl from Vicky Christina Barcelona), and a generally amazing cast of British and American film and theater celebrities. Wow.
And I had NO idea how huge this ancient Greek amphitheater was. I still don't know, but it held thousands upon thousands of people and being run by Greeks they oversold the tickets and seats were "find your own" except pay more for the nicer sections. Chaos!
But you could literally hear everything clearly from the staged without microphones. From the rustling of bags opening to everything. Complete marvel of engineering including the placement in the mountains exactly to harness their ability to carry sound. Can you tell I was impressed?

I know everyone here is mostly maxed out on their pbp capacity, but I /might/ start a Council of Thieves pbp once I've had enough time to read it. I'll save a spot for any of you guys if anyone is looking for a CoT to open up.
Thanks, but I will have to pass. I might have to lurk the thread, though.
I've already got another game coming that's got a spot with my name on it and I don't have the capacity for multiple games of some others in this crew...

I'm interested, but may be over committed pbp-wise at the moment... If you'd like to save me a spot, that'd be cool, but I'll probably need to give you a more definate answer when and if you decide to start.

OK, looking at the convertion of the Exorcism domain and the Exorcist of the Silver Flame PrC for Rod and LB.
Re the Exorcism domain power, I suggest that you simply convert the Turn Undead feat from the PFRPG book and make it affect possessing spirits and other entities, so instead of the old Turn check it becomes a Will save DC of 10 +1/2 level + CHA bonus for the spirit and using up a Channel Energy attempt.
Re the PrC, the only thing which seems necessary to change is the Flame of Censure, which also operates under the old Turning mechanic. I suggest that is simply replaced with Alignment Channel (Evil) feat as a bonus feat, also from the PFRPG book.
Sound OK?

I'll roll with that.

The only questions I have are the bone march and skeletal mount. Can I get a choice of my divine bond or am I bound to a skeletal mount? Also, we're getting a choice of +1 hp or +1 skill point retroactively for our favorite class, correct?
No, you can go with divine bond - frankly, the horse (like any paladin's mount) is of dubious value in most campaigns. Free horse - woo-hoo.....
Also, yes, you get the hp or skill point retrospectively.

Aubrey the Malformed wrote:Hey, Heathy, is Rod going to spend the feat getting plate mail? To be honest, he doesn't really strike as the plate mail type. Not entirely sure yet.
I want to have him pumped up on archery feats all of a sudden.
Yeah, that ray thing really worked well, and the bow is the holy weapon of the faith.

Any changes to warforged Aubrey?
I'm thinking that maybe one of his negative stats goes away, but not sure which would be more suitable, wisdom or charisma?
I also assume we will go with the PF standard of being able to choose a favoured class, rather than adhering to the 3.5 favoured class per race.
Other than that, don't really see any changes to be made race-wise.

That's great! Any necromantic appropriate weapon special abilities I can add with your permission similar to the necromantic paladin spells that were added for joining the bone knight PrC.

Janosz is fully updated. +2 DEX, some more hit points, one new feat (weapon focus: longbow) and a reconfigured skill list. One trend with PF is that you get significantly better with second-tier skills, as a couple of ranks and the class skill bonus makes a huge difference. He also speaks two more languages; I chose Sylvan and Aklo - they are the good and evil fey/nature languages, respectively, and Aklo doubles as the language of aberrations and "inhuman monsters", making both good fits.
I also need lighter armour - I'm wasting +2 DEX bonus to AC...
