I probably won't be on until tomorrow. I'll make my roll here so I don't hold us up. Davi's going to attack dog 4 assuming it's alive. If not then just the closest threat
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Crit?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Man, these rolls.

Random thought that I meant to bring up earlier:
Davi asked if she could take a free rank in Profession (Barmaid). That's pretty innocuous, and supported by her backstory, so I said yes.
So, in the interest of fairness, if anyone else would like a free rank in a Profession, go for it, just let me know. It naturally needs to be supported by your history. The most common Profession skills are architect, baker, barrister, brewer, butcher, clerk, cook, courtesan, driver, engineer, farmer, fisherman, gambler, gardener, herbalist, innkeeper, librarian, merchant, midwife, miller, miner, porter, sailor, scribe, shepherd, stable master, soldier, tanner, trapper, and woodcutter.
I usually let my players take free profession skills (or benign craft skills*, like Craft (Calligraphy)) anyway since I understand those skills are not very compelling compared to more useful ones like Perception/UMD/Stealth etc. But the roleplaying possibilities are too cool to ignore. I just forgot to include that when I wrote up the recruitment post.
*By benign I mean stuff that cannot be used to make items with combat balance repercussions...so basically anything other than Craft Arms/Weapons/Bows/Alchemy/Traps.
Good ideas are: baskets, books, calligraphy, carpentry, cloth, clothing, glass, jewelry, leather, locks, paintings, pottery, sculptures, ships, shoes, and stonemasonry.

@GMoL: Grehindal's NPC tab is made and first bit of history is posted. I opted to leave the dark crunchy bits for you, so I ended the tale after Delgus TwinForge, aka Delgus Giant Bane, ended his first life.
For my free profession, I would like to take Craft (Jewelry). Since Tarkus has been trained to craft larger coarse items like weapons, I like to think crafting smaller and more delicate items like jewelry would be a good complimentary skill to have.

@GMoL: Also just realized I got ahead of myself due to excitement of the game starting and haven't entered my coins on the excel sheet OR swapped out Hedonist for the drawback you and I worked out. I'll get on that!

Not to worry. I'm sure I can offer them a cup of tea and a game of chess, and they'll be so perplexed, they just play along with it.
...holy crap, did I accidentally Uncle Iroh?
Uncle Iroh was the best, even after Mako passed I loved all the small arcs that he was involved in. Now if you learn to fire bend along the way, things will definitely get interesting...

I didn't even realize what I had done, but the more I look at it, the more I realize how similar he is. They're both clearly aged, but still fit to kick some backside, they've got a grandfatherly wisdom and demeanor about them, they're calm as heck when hell is breaking loose around them, and that comment about tea and chess just tied it all together.
I don't know if I could learn to fire bend, sadly. I don't think Monk of the Four Winds meshes with Ki Mystic... does it?

Oh man they've added the cover art and summary for Andoran Birthplace of Freedom.
Gazetteers for all of the big cities?! More Eagle Knights info???? More info about the Norgotha Necropolis other than the fact that it exists???????
Ahhhhhhhhhh! I can't wait!
Though I might want to stab someone if they don't include more info on the great wyrms in the area, and on the fey in the Verduran Forest. >:(
Sorry for the geek moment. Since you're the only people who stand to profit from me getting this book I just had to share, ha!

*Lots* of other Monk archetypes stack with ki mystic, which I've always found rather nice.
I've got a half-formed idea for a ki mystic/sensei/quingong monk I'm going to get around to fleshing out one of these days...

Tarkus Shieldsplitter |

Well even if Adrac does go the Uncle Iroh route, Tarkus will most likely spend some time in the low levels getting some unarmed combat training, aka Unarmed Combat Feat as a bonus fighter feat, in as well. While I don't want Tarkus to go the Brawler archetype, if he ever needs to break out some brass knuckles, I don't want him provoking AoO if the opponent has a blade. :)

In that case, perhaps I should go ahead and switch that up. If nothing else, it'll be hilarious to see the old man suddenly erupt his fists in flames or lightning and punch something in the face with it.

Qiggong monk gives access to scorching ray. Also, it would be suuuuper legit if Adrac went Sensei as well. I think I mentioned that in the recruitment thread.
Also, Anthony is a virgin if that wasn't obvious before. This may or may not be the first time he has pined for a girl like this, though. Feel free to tease him. =)

GM of Liberty |

Sensei/Ki Mystic/Monk of the Four Winds all stack! Sensei replaces a lot of stuff though, including flurry of blows, evasion, and fast movement, which might be ad odds with your vision of Adrac.
Anthony, did you pick a skill to invest a rank in since you were refunded a point for Profession(Fisherman)?
Also, I've updated the wiki with these 3 NPCs you've just met, with picturessss.

Soroza Alessio |

@Adrac: Adrac is probably going to grate on Soroza, and she'll be plenty loud about it, so I just wanted to reassure you that *I* adore your character. Love how he's coming together.

I'm glad! ;)
I've wanted to make a rival adventuring party ever since I got a copy of the Rival Guide. (Hopefully having a bunch of foils helps you guys transition from 'bunch of random guys on a wagon' to 'heroic adventuring party')
They're up on the wiki now, even though you don't know all their names, yet :P

GM of Liberty |

@Adrac fyi you can't take power attack because you don't meet the BAB requirements
When Unchained comes out and gives rules for making monk full BAB i'll give you the option of taking the new rules for monk if you like them better.
(same goes for any Unchained optional rules changes for the rest of you, but it seems most applicable to Adrac)

There was an old 2ED book called Dwarves of the Deep, or something along those lines, and it was obviously all about the dwarves. One of the things the book discussed was how dwarves addressed, or lack thereof, those that had been banished, as well as the family left behind. The biggest thing was that the family was stripped of its name until either the offending dwarf atoned for their actions, or another member of that family did something truly heroic to return the family's honor.
Hence me calling Derrek, the Shunned. I forgot to add my trash talk aspect in on this round, but I promise to add it in the next.
Hope you don't mine my working in some 2ED mindset in a 3.75 world. :)

Sorry about taking do long, I've been away from the computer for a lot of the day.
EDIT; haha, I wasn't thinking about Michael Cera but that's totally the energy I wanted to channel.

I may be a little slow posting today/tomorrow as I am fighting a nasty headcold, but while I have a moment of drug induced lucidness, heading over to post now. Great building from everyone so far and with this group, I doubt it will drop off anytime soon. :)

GM of Liberty |

Herral seriously cracks me up.
Also, I've updated the wiki with this onslaught of new characters. They can most easily be found listed on the Inn of the Wood's wiki page, or alternatively from the character tab (which is getting pretty crowded already!)

Random tidbit:
Clocks are common in Andoran, including wall clocks and pocketwatches. (Big cities in Golarion tend to have clock towers, but smiths with the skill to work with smaller timepieces are rare.) But in Andoran, they're common in all but peasant homes. Just another little anachronism in the late-1700ish styled setting. :)

In case you guys need help, I have summed up your findings on the wiki. It can be accessed from the main page by clicking on Objectives, then on The Case of the Missing Dagger.
