Actually, in another Falcon's Hollow game I'm playing, our party was traveling through the forest, when we saw a blue dragon fly overhead.
The fact you mentioned getting eaten by one amused me.

Here's a question I've never had to ask before; does the orc think Davi is quite the pretty lady? I'm trying to decide between bluff and diplomacy for this encounter. Honestly I think Davi's speech to him has a bit of both so I'm not sure which one to roll. But if he thinks she's attractive that's +2 to bluff!

Rofl, yeah, he does. ;)

Oh, weird. For a minute there it was only displaying my most recent post and then posts from Saturday, none of the other Sunday posts.
*shrug*
Well, glad to see everyone's still here!

Derrak's armour is dead weight so Herral will leave that at Tinkin's home for him to look after or sell if he feels up to it.
he buys seven days worth of feed for Elsie and 4 pints of oil. 2 for him to carry and two for the donkey. Plus seven days of trail rations to put on Elsie.
I've updated the spreadsheet for the trail rations (and armor) and it looks like you have done the rest.
Cheers

Hey everyone, it is my birthday today! Huzzah, I am old.
I've been inundated with requests of revelry from friends who seem to think this whole "30" thing is a big deal, so I'm going to be fairly occupied today and tomorrow. I will endeavor to make at least one post tomorrow, but if the need to bot me arises I both understand and trust GMoL to do a fine job as an understudy for Soroza's unique personality.
Also, as the nature of the day has made me both sentimental and reflective: y'all are great and wonderful and I love this game. :D

Happy birthdays all around! One for you! And one for you! And one for you...!
Seriously, no worries. Have fun with it! You only turn 30 once!
...unless you count 60 as two 30th birthdays. I dunno... (says the guy playing a 67 year old monk.)

Sorry about the slow posting. Thanks for botting me. I've got to finish one more final on Wednesday then I'll be pretty okay for posting.
Edit: Aaaand happy birthday Soroza!!

So I was thinking about running a pbp Iron Gods campaign... mostly because my playgroup for face-to-face voted down the AP pretty harshly (one of the players really hates the whole fantasy/sci-fi mash-up and wants nothing to do with it). Sooo not going to ever run it with my friends.
But... I think its awesome, dammit. :( So I might as well run it on here!
Anyway I think I remember Soroza saying he wanted to play in Iron Gods. And also Anthony had that android barbarian concept that I liked a lot, but didn't really mesh well with what I wanted going on here. So if any of you would like a seat at the table, you'd be welcome to it, if you would like :p
I probably wouldn't be starting this until maybe late August/September since I don't really wanna run an AP without reading it all the way through (and I'll probably read the campaign setting books as well.)
Anywaaaaay if you're interested, I would like the PCs to be highly thematic and tailored for an Iron Gods campaign :) I will be requiring each PC to pick a trait from the campaign setting, and to integrate the fluff into your background in some way, to anchor backgrounds to the AP. You're all great roleplayers so I don't think you'll have a problem with this! I'll share my character creation requirements if anyone is interested. Figured I'd ask :]

Wooow. Literally the same thing happened to me*. It looks like most people don't like Iron Gods, but I'm totally down if you're running it. I love your GMing Kiora. I just wish I had time to sign up for that WotR game you had going. I might even go with that Android Barbarian sans rage-cycling.
EDIT: *Wanted to play Iron Gods but got shut down by my group.

Awesome! Lets see, character creation stuff:
No 3pp. All Paizo is fine. Occult playtest is fine (though you will need to update your character when the book is out)
Crunch
- 20 pt buy.
- Unchained rogue & summoner is mandatory
- Unchained monk & barbarian is optional
- No CE. No PvP.
- All Paizo races. Androids are ok. Aliens are not. (I want meeting an alien to be a creepy experience, which is kind of cheapened if the group just starts out by meeting one :p)
- Average starting wealth.
- Max HP level 1, average HP from then on out.
- 1 campaign trait, 1 trait of your choice, then you can use a drawback for a third trait.
Fluff
- Golarion setting.
- Download the player's guide, pick a trait, make it an important part of your PC's backstory. Cover the following bases in your backstory. Yeah, this puts some restraints on your character but it really helps make the campaign relevant to your PC.
- Your characters shouldn't start out with any technological items.
- As always I want everything in your crunch tied into your fluff. All of you excelled at that, though. :)
House Rules
- Automatic bonus progression
- Food/water/encumbrance
- Crit/fumble tables
- VMC allowed, fractional advancement for normal multiclassing
- 2 background skills per level
- Fighters may use unchained stamina subsystem for free, everyone else for a feat.
I want some really thematic characters that feel tailored to the AP, so try to make the campaign trait you pick something important to your character.... it really helps me in turn adjust the campaign around whatever you guys come up with :p
I dig thematic archetypes. Read the player's guide, it gives good ideas for character options, archetypes, etc.
But my thoughts were:
1. I'd love a gunslinger, because, obvious reasons. But also with the assumption you don't min-max that too much :P
2. I'm also hoping for at least one Kellid character, ideally someone who is pretty threatened by all the high-tech insanity for some contrast with characters that want to research it/harness it
3. A religious character who follows Brigh would be cool.
4. Also, androids! Just for the roleplay, haha.
At least that's the kind of stuff I'd look for in a recruitment (I'm rolling with 6 PCs). You guys are free to do whatever you want, beyond picking a campaign trait :) I trust you to come up with something cool.

Yeah one guy was super offended by the idea, it was crazy. I think it'd be fun though. :p

Whiff Whiff Whiff. Hopefully we'll land more hits after we ding a few times. =\
Rereading the player's guide now. When we come up with our characters, should we PM it to you?
Thanks in advance GMoL. Iron Gods is going to be great!

My Monday night group do this on Sundays. They are a party of four and have truly struggled with the AP. Their DM loves all this (played a fine shadowrun technomancer character last year) however I'm afraid I'm a purist like your buddy, GMoL.
They have a gunmage, duergar cleric, investigator and gnome cavalier with a wolf.
No, thank you.
Cheers

Kiora, this makes me so happy I could cry. I've wanted to play Iron Gods since before it existed, since I read the first article on Numeria in the original campaign setting hardcover.
I've made 10+ characters for Iron Gods. At the moment, I'm favoring a Tiefling Alchemist (Trap Breaker). Originally I was having her pick up firearm proficiency in the early levels, but with the rollout of VMC I'll probably sub-class her to Gunslinger instead. Mechanically she's a skill-monkey with a focus on mechanics (traps, locks, and machinery crafting) and when combat breaks out I see her as a sort of mobile artillery.

Sounds great :D
Well just like I said, I still have loads of setting reading to do, so this wouldn't be happening til like the end of summer. (I have a beach vacation planned in August and this will probably be my geeky beach reading lol)
So you have monthsssss to get a character ready. But that means they should be incredibly well polished right? :P
Once you have something even half-finished I'd love to see where you're going so I can start filtering through the stuff I'm reading for whats most relevant.
