Happy B-day, French!
BTW, Adrac's offer to train is open to anyone, not just Grelm. Adrac just hopes that the guy will shape up and change his ways. He really does see a lot of potential in the guy and his underlings. He's just... lost at the moment.
Of course, it will not be easy. You need the right stuff. You must be as swift as the coursing river! Possess the strength of a great typhoon! Have all the strength of a raging fire! And be mysterious as the dark side of-- wait, wrong script...
...yeah, just... happy birthday, French. ._.

And... that concludes Into the Haunted Forest!!!! *sprinkles confetti all over her players*
So great! A module in just a little over a month! I'm so happy. :) So even if the whole thing fell apart tomorrow we can at least say we accomplished something, hah!
I'm sorry if the adventure felt a little treasure anemic. A lot of the budget was spent on the Black Banners, and I think the module author expects the group to kill them all and take their stuff, in true murder hobo fashion. (To give the author credit, I made them a lot less evil than written. I mean "fights to the death"? These guys? Over a dagger? Pssh.)
Anyway, I really hope you guys are having fun and are still really digging the campaign. If you have any problems or concerns with how things are being done so far, please let me know. PM me if you're uncomfortable using Discussion.
Thanks so much for giving this campaign a chance! Now it's time for Hollow's Last Hope and your first level :D

The real treasure was *~*~Friendship~*~* all along!
Also, don't we get to keep the Panoply or something? Right? That's what Tablic said?
I just realized I have no idea what, if anything, any of them do. I was thinking them of fetch goals rather than loot.
Also, I need to buy a new whip... :-/
GM of Liberty
You could always ask if you could keep it and see what he says ;D
Haha, yeah, I was surprised no one (read: Anthony cause I think he's the only one with detect magic?) checked them out.
I read a report from some other playgroup where they took the Panoply and fled hahaha. @_@; I'm glad you guys are law-abiding citizens. That would have been a level of derailing that I don't know if I could have recovered from.
I don't make it difficult to obtain mundane items. (well okay, as long as you're not looking for a Nodachi or a double barreled shotgun or some craziness)
I will make you guys roleplay through the first time you visit a shop, just to introduce NPCs and the town and all that jazz. After that you can buy/sell more in a more streamlined fashioned to save time if you like. Or we can have shopkeep conversations all day ;) I love roleplaying with my NPCs, so no complaints there (bet you couldn't tell????).

@Soroza: D'oh!
I think that Knu might have used the Wand to cast that fire spell though (Probably Burning Hands). Other than that I'm as clueless as you are.
@GMoL: Haha, I was just under the assumption that they were to be returned to their rightful owners. Who don't seem to care now that we're the good guys.
The treasure starving is cool, we're using Automatic progression anyways, right?
Also, what was that on the wiki about joining Tablic's investigation on Grimshank?? I think I'll have Anthony ask about that.

Note to self: make the future kobold companion a magic user. Clearly has some value. (Maybe a lasso-focused Magus... that'd be a new one!)
Also, yes, we have made it through a module! Woo-hoo! Can't wait to get to Falcon's Hollow proper! I enjoy RP as well, GMoL, so no worries there. I'm enjoying playing the sagely old guy entirely too much.
Davi Accerlas
Huzzah! Yay for completing the first module! I really like that we're not doing the typical 'kill these guys, take their stuff, grab magic items and run away' thing. It's much more fun this way. Are the remaining Banners still hostile to us? It looks like we're making friends with Aliciette (much to Davi's dismay lol)
I am taking Use Magical Device as soon as we level.
GM of Liberty
Yes. They are hostile to you in a rivalry sense, not in a "I want to kill you" sense.
Diplomacy levels are reflective of how likely it is for someone to do something when you ask them to. The Black Banners are highly unlikely to do anything that benefits you guys haha.
If Soroza manages to befriend Aliciette then she might move up a notch though.

Heya GMoL. It's a good time (since it's about to come up sort of meta-textually in-game) to let you know that I have decided to pull the trigger on Subclassing Cleric with Soroza (bye bye half of my feats!). That, along with Ranger spells and the Blessings I will eventually get from Divine Tracker, will help me fully realize my idea of Soroza gradually unlocking her connection to Calistria as she grows in confidence, faith, and power. Seemed appropriate given her mishmash of training and influences.

Sounds good! =)
Make sure you update the wiki's character sheet.

Are you doing the new variant multiclassing with her? I'm doing that with Davi, she's getting Oracle added because reasons. If Soroza is getting healing spells that's awesome! It'll really open up what I can do with Davi :D

I find it funny that this whole adventure was basically 'much ado about a magic dagger' and no one seems to care about it once its over ;)
Oooooooh, just wait until you meet my little kobold. He will outright demand it. Because he deserves it. And why shouldn't he? He's straight-up amazing!

If you're doing that update your character sheet on the wiki too, please!
For 1st level, you need to pick both a mystery and a curse. The curse treats her effective oracle level as equal to 1/2 her character level.

This weekend is going to be difficult for posting for me. I'll at least have a check-in post those days, but don't expect anything fancy. I'm going to be selling flowers at a stand for essentially the whole day on Mother's Day and the day before.
Soroza Alessio
@Davi: I'll still only have Ranger spell progression (I.E., not a lot, and not until lvl.4), but I'll be able to spontaneously cast cure spells, giving me flexibility when it comes to emergency healing. I will also get a token amount of positive energy channeling, which could also help in a pinch.
Between that and Herral and I being able to use cure wands, I think we'll do okay.

*whew*
That took a lot out of me. Still don't know if I'm entirely happy with it, but don't think I could have fielded half as well on the spot in a face to face.

Nah, it's awesome!
PbP scratches my roleplaying itch.... all my great roleplayers went and got jobs and moved away on me >:( At my current face to face group I'm still trying to train them to stop meta-gaming mid-conversation. From last night:
"You come to a fork in the tunnels. The right tunnel glows with an ominous light. The left tunnel is pitch black, angling into the darkness." "Well, obviously we should take the dark tunnel, because the signs are trying to get us to go down the lit up the tunnel but I bet its a red herring to monsters. There must be secret treasure hidden in the dark tunnel!" "Your companion turns to you and asks, "Wow, secret treasure?! Who do you think left treasure in the tunnels?"" "Err...what? The GM obviously!" *facepalm*

Glad you liked it!
And yeesh!
You should crack open those "quick build" monster rules in Unchained. Maybe when they get to the end of that tunnel they find themselves up against the dreaded Crimson Clupea. See how they like it when the GM gets meta. ;)

Nah they're way too noob to metagame about monsters! It's a blessing, really. They actually act how level 1 adventurers should probably act ;D
Some highlights:
1. Confusion as to why protection from evil didn't work against a rat swarm ("Clearly a sentient mass of rats is eeeeevil!")
2. Attempting to cast cause fear on a skeleton.
3. They all opted to get the heaviest armor they could afford in the CRB for that powerful armor class! Then got frustrated by a 60 ft wall I made them climb to continue. (Sometimes you gotta teach a lesson.)
4. Intimidating a NPC to shut up then being flabbergasted when it made the NPC unfriendly.
5. Getting really, really freaked out at being told they had to taste test a potion to figure out what it does ;)

@GMoL: I wish I could find a DM like you around here. (Heck, I wish I could find a group at all!) I enjoy playing unoptimized characters and the like because, really, there is only so much you can do with the young, optimistic dungeon crawler superhero. If I wasn't already in this game and in another Wrath of the Righteous, I would've totally thrown something out of left field for your WotR game. (Maybe an aging paladin, or a sound-focused sorcerer... or an earthbender or waterbender, because I just figured out how to make that an actual character in the mechanics!)
I like playing to a flavor more than what works, which is probably why I'm enjoying this so much. For example, in my Wrath of the Righteous game, I was playing a crippled kobold cavalier who rode a slurk and wanted to be a knight. But he lost his mount in our first bout and has now class-switched into a lame-cursed spellscar oracle, who is slowly learning he's actually a veeeeeeery distant 'child' of Apsu and Tiamat themselves. Point is, he's is definitely not a typical hero character, but he's such great fun to play because of it (I RP'ed a kobold weeping at the loss of his mount... has there ever been a kobold who cried?)
My point is, I'm enjoying this game because I think abnormal concepts make for a fun time. (Which is probably why I love kobolds so much... they're about as out there as you can get).
