Deeds: Swashbucklers spend panache points to accomplish deeds. Most deeds grant the swashbuckler a momentary bonus or effect, but some provide longer-lasting effects. Some deeds remain in effect while the swashbuckler has at least 1 panache point, but do not require expending panache to be maintained. A swashbuckler can only perform deeds of her level or lower. Unless otherwise noted, a deed can be performed multiple successive times, as long as the swashbuckler has or spends the required number of panache points to perform the deed.
Derring-Do (Ex)
: At 1st level, a swashbuckler can spend 1 panache point when she makes an Acrobatics, Climb,Escape Artist, Fly, Ride, or Swim check to roll 1d6 and add the result to the check. She can do this after she makes the check but before the result is revealed. If the result of the d6 roll is a natural 6, she rolls another 1d6 and adds it to the check. She can continue to do this as long as she rolls natural 6s, up to a number of times equal to her Dexterity modifier (minimum 1).

Dodging Panache (Ex)
: At 1st level, when an opponent attempts a melee attack against the swashbuckler, the swashbuckler can as an immediate action spend 1 panache point to move 5 feet; doing so grants the swashbuckler a dodge bonus to AC equal to her Charisma modifier (minimum 0) against the triggering attack. This movement doesn't negate the attack, which is still resolved as if the swashbuckler had not moved from the original square. This movement is not a 5-foot step; it provokes attacks of opportunity from creatures other than the one who triggered this deed. The swashbuckler can only perform this deed while wearing light or no armor, and while carrying no heavier than a light load.

Opportune Parry and Riposte (Ex)
: At 1st level, when an opponent makes a melee attack against the swashbuckler, she can spend 1 panache point and expend a use of an attack of opportunity to attempt to parry that attack. The swashbuckler makes an attack roll as if she were making an attack of opportunity; for each size category the attacking creature is larger than the swashbuckler, the swashbuckler takes a –2 penalty on this roll. If her result is greater than the attacking creature's result, the creature's attack automatically misses. The swashbuckler must declare the use of this ability after the creature's attack is announced, but before its attack roll is made. Upon performing a successful parry and if she has at least 1 panache point, the swashbuckler can as an immediate action make an attack against the creature whose attack she parried, provided that creature is within her reach.

Panache: More than just a lightly armored warrior, a swashbuckler is a daring combatant. She fights with panache: a fluctuating measure of a swashbuckler's ability to perform amazing actions in combat. At the start of each day, a swashbuckler gains a number of panache points equal to her Charisma modifier (minimum 1). Her panache goes up or down throughout the day, but usually cannot go higher than her Charisma modifier (minimum 1), though feats and magic items can affect this maximum. A swashbuckler spends panache to accomplish deeds (see below), and regains panache in the following ways.
Critical Hit with a Light or One-Handed Piercing Melee Weapon: Each time the swashbuckler confirms a critical hit with a light or one-handed piercing melee weapon, she regains 1 panache point. Confirming a critical hit on a helpless or unaware creature or a creature that has fewer Hit Dice than half the swashbuckler's character level doesn't restore panache.
Killing Blow with a Light or One-Handed Piercing Melee Weapon: When the swashbuckler reduces a creature to 0 or fewer hit points with a light or one-handed piercing melee weapon attack while in combat, she regains 1 panache point. Destroying an unattended object, reducing a helpless or unaware creature to 0 or fewer hit points, or reducing a creature that has fewer Hit Dice than half the swashbuckler's character level to 0 or fewer hit points doesn't restore any panache.

Biography:
Davilessa "Davi" Accerlas is Andoran by birth. She grew up in the city of Augustana, the daughter of wealthy traders. Davi's childhood was spent with a succession of tutors, designed to teach her to one day take over the family business. Davi was especially fond of her swordsmanship lessons. She dreamed of exploring the world, performing heroic deeds and becoming a renowned duelist.
It was always an open secret that the woman Davi called 'Mother' had not actually given birth to her. Before his marriage Davi's Father had been charmed by a beautiful woman. That woman gave birth to Davi and dissipated shortly after. Davi was a year old when her father married her stepmother Liliana. Liliana embraced Davi like she was her own daughter. When Davi's siblings arrived her parents made sure she knew she was an equal part of the family.
Things changed when Davi was 14. Every night she dreamt of a voice singing to her, beckoning Davi to come someplace wonderful. The dreams were dismissed until one morning when Davi woke up half a mile from her house with no idea how she got there. A friend of the family who happened to be a priestess of Shelyn heard about Davi's troubles and came to help. That priestess, Violet, was the first to know her for what she was; a Changeling.
Davi went to live with Violet. She learned how to master her mothers’ call. Not only that, but she learned to accept herself as a changeling. At the age of 17 Davi made the decision that she was going to go out and see the world. She has been traveling ever since, going wherever her whims (and limited funds) take her.

10 minute background:

Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character.

1. Davi’s parents tried to mold her into the perfect trader’s daughter. Their efforts were doomed from the start. Davi has always craved adventure, always desired to be a swordswoman like her grandmother was. As soon as she could walk properly she started carrying a wooden sword everywhere she went. On her 10th birthday she was gifted her grandmother’s old rapier. Davi prizes this sword over any other material possession. Whenever she carries it she feels stronger, more invincible. It’s the sword she learned to fight with and it’s become an extension of her body. Trait: Signature Moves

2.Davi rarely stays in once place for a long time. Since she’s left home the longest she’s stayed somewhere was a year in Absalom when she worked as a barmaid. Most of the time she worked as a caravan guard or a freelance adventurer, any job that would let her stay on the move.

3. Last year Davi got into a scrap with a Drowned Maiden. Well, not exactly a scrap, more like a near-drowning. Davi was able to bargain with the creature to let her go but it was a very near thing. In exchange for her life Davi promised to bring the Drowned Maiden the man who killed her, and she fulfilled her promise. The Professor was very interested in her experience. Trait: Subject of Study

4. Davi is horrible with money. The fact that she was tutored extensively in finances and still can’t keep her pocketbook full is a source of embarrassment to her. Everytime she gets paid she swears it will be different, that she’ll put some of it aside. And then she spots something shiny or finds someone in need of charity and there she is again, having to sleep in a field because all her money is gone.

5. Davi has a strange resistance to magic. It was only discovered when she still lived in the temple of Shelyn. Davi thinks it’s a side effect of of her overcoming her mother’s call. It’s a thought she could be proud of, that she could overcome the magical call so much that her body gained a resistance to all magic. She might be right about the source….or maybe not. Feat: Mother’s Gift

List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game.

Davi’s Goal: Davi’s started hearing her hag mother’s call again. At first she dismissed it as recurring nightmares but soon she was sleepwalking halfway across town each night. Davi’s been to every library and specialist she could find. Nobody’s ever heard of a changeling getting the calling again. She was in contact with the Professor in the hopes that his expertise could give her an answer.

My goal: A showdown with Davi’s hag mom would be amazing.

List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet.

1. Davi is a sucker for romance. She loves the cheesy ballads, the fairy tales with handsome knights and princes sweeping common girls off their feet. She’s read a lot of romance books she’ll never admit to even knowing about.

2. Davi has no idea that her hag mother has kept an eye on her all these years. She knows that Davi would be extremely powerful as a hag and she will never stop trying to make that transformation happen.

Describe at least three people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile.

1. Bruno Accerlas: Davi’s younger half brother. Bruno is now the heir to the family trading business. To everyone’s relief Bruno is quite capable in his role. He and Davi keep in contact through letters. His letters always come with coins inside. He knows his sister well.

2. Guln Hawthorne (And Family): Guln and his family are halflings. Davi made sure they were taken care of back when they lost their home in Absalom. When the Hawthornes decided to move Davi got them lodgings close to Augustana. Guln works for Davi’s family now as a driver. The Hawthornes consider Davi an honorary family member.

3. Davi’s Birth mother:
Ulizmila

http://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Ulizmila

Describe three memories that your character has.

1. Davi used to teach a young friend the art of swordplay. The first time her student disarmed her was one of the proudest moments in Davi’s life. Being a good enough swordswoman to teach others how to be good swordsmen gave Davi a big boost in confidence.

2. Davi’s first kiss was with a traveling bard. She’d snuck into the local tavern to watch him play and she thought he was just dreamy. The two flirted while he was on break, and the bard went in for the kiss right when Davi’s father walked in. At the time she was mortified to watch her dad come roaring after the poor man. Theo chased the bard around the tavern a few times before the man got out the front door. A horrified Davi followed the pair as Theo chased the man halfway through the city before giving up. At the time she was totally devastated but now she looks back and laughs at the experience.

3. Davi remembers a dream she once had. She and her friends were playing catch outside, then someone got mad and left and suddenly it was snowing and she to go dig up the plants in the garden and bring them inside so they wouldn’t die. A weird, random dream that holds significance just because it was a random dream and not her mother’s calling. It was the first night since the calling started that Davi didn’t hear it in her dreams. This makes it precious to her.
