Terror by night! current map
The fill in the dungeon as we go seems to work.
Will wait on Maggie until Tuesday night. Move things along then no matter what.
Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3
I'm still here, just into the semester, so with my Initiative order being so low, I did not want to post out of order, since I get the feeling that Ama would be reacting more than acting.
m elf wizard 2
OUCH. Deafened AND without my original spellbook OR bonded object. This is gonna end badly...
but damn If I can hang in there, I will come back with a vengeance!
Male Dwarf Paladin 2 | HP: 22/22 | AC 20/11/17 | F +7, R +3, W+7 | Per: +0, Init: +1
I'll be out this weekend.
m elf wizard 2
Man, these fights just refuse to go well for either side, eh?

m elf wizard 2
Sorry for the light posting. Between the matters on my mind lately, the missing bonded object, and the deafened condition, any spell I cast will be basically flushed down the drain, and I have no clear line to anyone, nor any way to tell if anyone else can hear anything I might yell out.
I'm honestly just not sure what I can possibly contribute lately. Starting to think a universalist object wizard (as opposed to a familiar wizard of any particular school) was...less than optimal, especially in such a big party in this particular adventure.
Though I do want to see how things turn out, and I'm loathe to give up on anything, I feel like it might just be a more practical and responsible choice to bow out. the fun in playing the character simply isn't balancing out the anti-fun in being out of options.
I don't want to hold up the game at this point, so I'll simply learn from the experience and allow the group to go on and take up a little less room in the narrow hallways, heh. Take care, everyone.
No problem Elgoron. I tried to restore some spells quickly as I know of DMs that like to play how can the wizards adapt to have all their spells stolen.
Slight spoiler. Familiars, spell books, and bonded objects were stashed at the beginning of level 2.
Male Dwarf Paladin 2 | HP: 22/22 | AC 20/11/17 | F +7, R +3, W+7 | Per: +0, Init: +1
Hey you made it through without becoming zombie food or goblin bait. That's better than me.
The missing bonded object and deafness suck, but we'll get out stuff back when we pry it from their cold, dead hands.
This adventure is definitely punishing of mistakes, but that makes victory that much sweeter.
Hope you stick around, and wish you good luck if you don't.

I'll be away from home from tomorrow through the end of next week. Posting will be sporadic but I promise to get a few in. Please run me as appropriate.
I must apologize, I have been neglecting my PbP games due to real life turning super busy.
So as not to hold things up, I'm withdrawing from this game. I have had a lot of fun, and I hope to game again with you all in the future.
Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3
I can understand. Take care!
No problem. The trippy paladin sure was making things hard for the bad guys.
Male Human HP: 15/15 <> AC: 15 (14 + 1 from Shield)
Dang, it is hard to see you go heliopolix - In the two games we played together I have really enjoyed your characters, and in this particular case, Felgarr was becoming a central piece in the game :/
Hope RL eases up on you, and hope also to see you again soon.
Take care.
Give that attrition is such a problem, I have started a new PbP concept in the recruiting threads.
Four characters no waiting.
Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3
Not sure how to treat characters who die a GM death due to players leaving. Ama would channel to heal, but OOC, I know that it won't do any good.. I'll just have Ama wait to hear the results of Strang's intimidate, I guess.
Male Human HP: 15/15 <> AC: 15 (14 + 1 from Shield)
Maybe now is a good time for a reality check, before we decide what to do - We are four at the moment correct?
- Terion
- Strang
- Ama
- Bizzle
How rested are we? Mainly Bizzle and Ama?
I guess if we proceed or not will depend on that ;)
Note: I have updated Terion's position in the map.
I assume you will rest here. And then there were 4 close to level 3.
Male Human HP: 15/15 <> AC: 15 (14 + 1 from Shield)
MUAH!! Hmmm, maybe I should multiclass...
Thanks Terion. Was a blast gaming with you too. Just got to busy, darn real life.
Give them cultists hell for me!
Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3
I infer that the cage that was tossed at Terion is breakable? If that is the case, could it be flicked back at the troglodytes by, say.. a glaive?

Still in need of a player? :)
If so let me know what you need and what books and I will work on something post haste!
Male Human Sorcerer
Same here. Core only? I could make something in a couple of hours depending on what's needed
Well-- let's add a paladin and Druid.
Male Human Sorcerer
Shall I play the Paladin this time? :p
Male Human Sorcerer
Have never played a tank before. It might be interesting. 31hp and 19AC right now on the build. Might be ok I think
hehe so you're doin the paladin this time?
Male Human Sorcerer
Yeah might as well throw my hat in. Just working out the finer details of the build, and his mannerisms. I think a Paladin fresh out of the temple, been given a holy quest to do good in the world, but has no idea of the world at all around him might be interesting.
20 pts build with no traits but a bonus feat at creation. Think I added a custom one that could be taken.
Our dwarf is missing, maybe a dwarven druid? A halfling archer paladin may be nice too. You can check out Felgarr in the thread, he was quite an effective build tripping any bad guy he met.
Build to level 3 with no equipment--party is almost level 3.
Male Human Sorcerer
A halfling paladin, with a puppy that he owns that he plans to use as a riding dog when it gets a little bigger. You have just given me an amazing idea. Thank you so so much!
check out the fey foundling feat for a paladin. It makes for even more background and great defense.
Male Human Sorcerer
Fey Foundling
You were found in the wilds as a child, bearing a mark of the First World.
Prerequisites: You may only select this feat at 1st level.
Benefit: Your strange connection to the First World and the fey infuses you with life, and whenever you receive magical healing, you heal an additional 2 points per die rolled. You gain a +2 bonus on all saving throws against death effects. Unfortunately, you also suffer +1 point of damage from cold iron weapons (although you can wield cold iron weapons without significant discomfort).
Its not Core rulebook
Oops--gotta be consistent. Plenty of archer feats if you do a halfling.
Male Halfling Paladin 4
Nah, charging in as a halfing with a riding dog bearing a lance seems hilarious. A bow is a dishonourable weapon, for it requires you to be anywhere but right next to your opponent! Surely it is more honourable to face him eye to eye and thrust your sword through him, doing Erastil's great work?
:D
This will only be the basics of the character. I will fill it out more fully and completely once herolab stops bugging out on me.
Got the basics in terms of the statline down. I can visualise how the guy walks and fights now, and so the background is coming along nicely.
Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3
Still here, just that Terion is doing a fine job, so Ama'll healbot as needed.
Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 3 (HP: 21/21 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+3, R+5, W+5 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +7)
I'm going to be on extended vacation for the next few weeks. I'll still have connectivity, but posting will be sporadic. Please run my character as needed.
Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3
I'm uncertain of the order, but Ama will be doing what she can for Strang on the next turn.
Update tonight--holiday for us veterans!!
The two new party members are tossed trussed up in front of two illusory snakes that will scare them if they miss their will save.
Are our new cult bashers ready?
HP 36/36 | Per +9, Traps +1 | CMB +6 | CMD 16, AC 18, Touch 15, Flat 15 | Fort +4, Ref +8, Will +2
Not that it matters since the snake missed, but I though that since Withdraw is a Full Round Action, I couldn't use Acrobatics to try and avoid it. I mention this because if it is legal to do this, that is very useful to know!
Acrobatics is executed while moving. I do not think the withdraw actions would prohibit this.
OK, I fast forwarded things to everyone could level and get our new character(s) introduced.
Terion happened to fall afoul of the critical dice. Rather than have him roll up a new character, having him risen by Iomedae makes perfect sense here.
Male Human HP: 15/15 <> AC: 15 (14 + 1 from Shield)
With the goddess divine intervention, it may be a good time to ponder some sort of multiclassing for Terion... Hmmmmm....
Perhaps a level in cleric :D
Male Human HP: 15/15 <> AC: 15 (14 + 1 from Shield)
Actually, are we allowed to multiclass?
