"Ramne! You know this one?!" - Terion seems momentarily surprised.

"He looks like a priest of Sarenrae that was missing years ago. Like five or ten."

Male Human Per +3

"What's your name cur?!" - Terion roars at the cleric.

Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 3 (HP: 21/21 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+3, R+5, W+5 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +7)

"Great! Let's discuss this later, then." The impatient gnome finishes his incantation and floods the area around the man with painfully colorful lights.

Color Spray, Will save DC 17. Effect depends on target's HD.

The cleric channels 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1) = 10 negative energy before the spray his.

save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

He resists the spray of colors
Before he can finish off Terion, Rammed hits him with a scorching ray pair.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

He is burned to a crisp.

Ramne laments:"I was hoping we could talk him down. Five years of possession must have harmed his mind."

After healing Terion, the treasure is quite bountiful.

Combat over!

Male Human Per +3

I had a ready action but hey, all is well that ends well ;)

Ramne looks over the treasure with a discerning eye and lists the following:
Bag of Holding Type 2
Elven Boots
Ring of free action
Ring of protection +1
Silver Horn of Valhalla
Potions:
gaseous form, invisibility, clairvoyance, cure serious (x2), philter of love

Ramne finds two elaborate ivory scroll cases with an elaborate locking mechanism. It requires intricate work to disable the pattern which seems to be laced with flowers of Sarenrae. A legacy of the cleric's better days before being charmed. Ramne says: "Unfortunately I incinerated the man who knew how to open the scrolls"

Scroll 1 Disable Device 20:
Magic-user scroll: CL7 slow, stinking cloud, detect magic

Scroll 1 Disable Device 19 or less:
Fiery sparks do 1d10 ⇒ 5fire and leave the scrolls in ashes.

Scroll 2 Disable Device 20:
Cleric scroll: CL 11 heal, cure disease, dispel magic

Scroll 2 Disable Device 19 or less:
Fiery sparks do 1d10 ⇒ 9fire and leave the scrolls in ashes.

The party returns to the town of find the majority of the town walking around in a daze. Many who were under the influence of the queen have days of their life missing. The mayor is extremely grateful for your help.

The church of Iomedae is excited at the smiting of the Queen and the destruction of evil. Natalie Yacoub, daughter of former Bishop Yacoub, mourns the loss of her father. A traitor to the faith of Sarenrae, he is forbidden to be buried on holy ground. His eight years of slavish service to the Explicta a blot on the Dawnflower and her followers. His ashes are cremated to prevent any further corruption.

So ends N1--We will have to see where we stand. Posting at the end was inconsistent.

Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 3 (HP: 21/21 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+3, R+5, W+5 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +7)

Don't know the save for the negative energy, but even half is enough to drop Bizzlemont.

The wave of sickness and blight causes the gnome to pass out. He drops like a sack of potatoes. A small sack.

[ooc]10 Negative energy save at DC15 Will for half. I assume Ama can stabilize everyone and get them on their feet.[/oo]

Cole quickly goes to Bizzlemont and attempts to infuse him with the light of Iomedae. His hands glow for a moment, and then healing washes over him.

Burning both uses of LOH

LOH: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7

Male Halfling Paladin 4

Once that has been done, Cole will look into the bag of holding, curious as to what might be inside it. People did not tend as a rule to leave those kind of things empty in his experience.

To his surprise, Cole finds over 60 human heads in various stages of preservation in the bag. The load of about 500# weighs quite a bit less due to magic.

Ama can indeed bring everyone back to consciousness, if not full health with channel expenditures. So let's see. Channel+1 per D6: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 5) = 12+3= 15HP restored.

Ama was hesitant to make any moves during the final standoff, and for her hesitance, she was grateful. If she had moved any further, she would have been subject to the wave of negative energy the man unleashed, and quite possibly fallen. As it stood, Ama and Ramne were unharmed, and after setting about ensuring that the queen and her cleric would not affected by the waves of positive energy, she used the notes of music as a focus, her voice being the first thing that everyone heard as they (if they) regained consciousness. A bit sad that lives had to be lost, she softly sang a hymn for those that had passed, hoping that it might offer some comfort for the dead that were beyond them now.

She was most certainly wary upon returning to town, but at least upon arrival, they were not beset, and she went about looking for the elves that had helped them, to repay what she could of the money they had put forward. She had also told them of the stronghold, and mentioned that they had not completely searched the place, so there was undoubtedly more to be found in there.

I was a bit uncertain on actions there, I'll try to be more concise and communicative. At least the spells helped!

Male Human Per +3

I am here for the long haul, as I said many times ;) In a few moments, I'll add my perspective on the game in Discussion.

And YAY! WE WIN! MUAH!

As you return to a friendly village, the mayor thanks you and the elves for helping.

Ramne comments: "How do you want to divide up this treasure?"

Male Human Per +3

"Well..." - Terion scratches his head - "All that were in on this deserve a fair share"

We are still missing Strang sound off.

Overall, and looking at the loot, I don't think there is anything for Terion. Could be the bag of holding, but that is a group thing, so maybe the ring of free action? The cleric had no masterwork armor or weapons on him?

It was a grim prospect, but Ama looked at the others before mustering herself. "We should see if any of those that live in the town can recognize anyone", she said, gesturing to the bag. "If so, then a blood debt may be owed to them." It was a small gesture, but something that she nonetheless thought may be appropriate.

Male Halfling Paladin 4

You are right. The heads must be returned, and buried properly. Cole looks a little green at the sight of the preserved heads.

Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 3 (HP: 21/21 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+3, R+5, W+5 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +7)

"Oh, gross! What the hell were they going to do with those?" Bizzlemont exclaims as Cole opens the bag. The little gnome gets back to his feet, thanking Ama for healing him.

"I think we should get someone to open these cases. They might have good information in them."

Terion might want the Ring of Free Action (Assume it's like a Ring of Freedom of Movement) or the Ring of Protection. Bizzle is also interest in those as well as the scrolls.

Male Halfling Paladin 4

Damned if I know what they were going to do. Maybe we could ask Ramne's friend here. Oh I forgot, that's not an option any more. Let's get back to town, sort out this stuff back where we know we aren't going to get a knife in our backs Cole becomes grim, and puts the bag of holding into the backpack he holds before mounting Gnasher again.

As there is no consensus on how to divide the treasure--the ring of free action a coveted item by many including Ramne, Ramne calls in the agent of the local thieves guild that you had met earlier to help liquidate the treasure. He appraises the treasure find and smiles and admits "You have some big ticket items here. Such finds have been known to cause some problems. Many a thieving crew has been known to square off after finding a choice group of loot. Well, you would like to repay the elves in town and probably contribute a modest amount to get the town on its feet. You did well to call in an expert broker."

He notes Strang's desire to have the boots of elvenkind. All party members are given a large sack of gold.

Treasure liquidators called in!! 4000gp given to all but Strang, who gets 2500gp and the boots of elvenkind. Ama may buy the clerical scrolls with her share at 60% of face value and Bizzlemont may buy the following magic-user spells at 60% of face value: (Magic-user scroll: CL7 slow, stinking cloud, detect magic) (Cleric scroll: CL 11 heal, cure disease, dispel magic). Strang was given the boots for .6x2500=1500. Cole is given the longsword as a gift from Ramne if he can rub his head for luck before departing. With that--you can outfit yourself and head over to Swordthrust. Note there are still some high priced items you collected along the way including Cole's sword and a +2 ring of protection.

magicuser scroll trap then clerical scroll trapf 3+ to disable: 2d20 ⇒ (16, 9) = 25

Male Human Per +3

I don't understand exactly what just happened. Is this an issue of balance between character wealth?

Expediency + some balance. I think you are still well above the pathfinder guidelines. Old school characters had to pay for training, which is not a factor in pathfinder.

Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 3 (HP: 21/21 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+3, R+5, W+5 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +7)

Bizzle will take the Slow and the Stinking Cloud scrolls.

Male Human Per +3

GM Tribute, does it make any sense trying to buy a Wayfinder, or there is no PFS? Wanted the one with the ioun stone for prot from evil, though I can never calculate how much it costs ;)
