Apologies for being a little late on this, got some IRL stuff to handle and it's taking a lot more time than expected. Will try to keep up but NPC if you need to keep things moving.

This is a reminder post for all.of us because I only just remembered but GUYS we have hero dice! We can use those!

And I feel like I should have pulled away from combat but the post is made and the dice rolled, let's see what happens.

Last, something of a check up. August has been rough mentally just for me, so checking in on you all

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

I think this is pretty doable considering the action advantage you have on the lone monster.

It is though one of those situations where some buffing/debuffing, or maneuver to control and negate some of the attacks would be really useful. This is the classical kind of big slow/silly creature who is better approached through energy damage/touch AC and attacking saves (bypassing DR and AC), rather than attacking AC and defending vs the considerably high attack bonus ;)

My posting will be reduced for the next few days. I'm helping my sister move 600 km.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Thanks for the heads up Ingolf. Have a nice trip!

I will give Adriana and Jonah today to post before moving for next round.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Hi! As my holidays deep in, I will be away from Internet connection for the following few days. Do not expect much from me if anything until next Monday.

I will try to squeeze in a post on this game, but I cannot promise.

I have attempted to get the flank move for Jonah/Ingolf/Myself because it seems my damage roller just isn't going to help at all. Two ones in a row? Ouch :(

I'm back from my sister's moving odyssey. Just waiting for it to be my turn again.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

I am also back. The vacation was simple but just awesome.

If you use the Google Slides app you should be able to zoom in and move the tokens very easily even in the phone. I use it sometimes and it rocks.

Adriana has at least two uses of cure light wounds available so that we don't burn through the wand too quickly, so if you'd like healing let me know either IC or OOC and I'll get on that.

And going by the map, we could head back to Pridon's and make a brief stop to check in on hex C given the amount of treasure/news we've currently got, and I'm not sure how much more our boats can carry, but we're doing pretty well.

Lastly, Hurricane Laura is in my neighborhood and so far I'm safe but also I'm under a lot of storm warnings, so if I go quieter than usual, it's likely related to that. If you're in a similar situation I hope you're able to be safe and dry.

Ebba could use a bit more healing.

I agree we should head back to Pridon's Hearth and report.

I hope the Hurricane doesn't hit you too hard.

I did my best with TDW. It just really sucks in base PF; even on the Restorer Druid who's meant to use Heal and was in the Healer's Handbook.

My kingdom for a Boline Knife to halve the amount of Kit uses for TDW.

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

If GM is cool with it I don't mind subbing in two uses of CLW so that the wand doesn't have to burn 2 charges, and I still have a slot left for either an additional CLW or another level 1 spell if we need it.

Also while Laura has passed by where I am it's still heckin' wet and windy so posting's a little hit and miss. Mostly want to ask if the CLW swap is okay before posting IC

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

I am cool to say a couple of those cures were Adriana's spells.

Take care with that wind.

It's been a not-great weekend but I think the worst has finally passed. There were power issues for a bit but that could have been literally anything and it's now gone from soggy to muggy. Humidity is the worst.

I'm not sure where to put Adriana at the moment IC since we all made it back safely but I'm hoping to get a post in soon. If nothing else she'll tag along to see the sheriff and maybe check on the townsfolk and possibly shop for some supplies, see whats available. I think we had an idea of what we could and couldn't buy in PH in the discussion thread, double checking that

I'm good with selling the stone tablets to Mr. Blackwell. With the reward for investigating the Cobalt Eye, that would come to 3500 gp, or 700 each.

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

August was certainly a month but September is here and already looking up, so gonna spend a little time re-reading threads and calculating XP and stuff.

The payment for the stones I'm assuming is being split between us, double checking because I'm pretty sure we're not getting 2500GP each. If we are, I am buying magic stuff!

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

In case you have not been tracking xp, you will find a 'xp record' tab in the treasure sheet so you can know where you do stand right now.

If you go through the Treasure sheet on the 'Treasure' tab and put "Selling" on the J column for the items you want to sell (including coin/money), the cell B5 on the 'Statistics' tab will automatically reflect how much money you have available as a party.

On your character tabs on the treasure sheet you can also track down your equipment and see how much money you have available as an individual player to plan your buying.

The mission's rewards was 'total gold' not for each of you, thus you should have around 800 gp each for buying plus whatever remains you have from your previous selling (check your character tab to find out quickly).

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

We are in a light roleplaying section. Maybe it is a good time to sort out if you want to buy some stuff.

Also, you start to have many errands and missions. I suggest some of you makes a list of what is open and what completed so not to lost yourselves in the incoming weeks/months. A tab in the treasure sheet might be a good place, but if you prefer maintaining it in a different document, just hand me a link and I will add the reference at the top header.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Hi there! If you do not feel inspired we can skip the NPC interaction and go look for another more action-heavy mission.

I kinda want to apologize for Adriana not sticking around to further RP with Hamsa, but the visual of storming out is both funny and a little exaggerated but still kinda in character.

I do want to keep the RP going but I'm not sure where Adriana can go currently except maybe back to town to check on folks. It might be a little meta-gamey to say but she's not gonna say anything about Hamsa unless specifically asked; I figure her backstory trait would mean she'd know better than to antagonize someone in power.

And if it comes to it for later I'd like to put my vote in to check on the sherriff's cousin.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

It is fine, it shall not disrupt the course of the adventure and it shows off your character's personality :)

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

The paizo website is having problems. If you are reading this on time, do not log out from paizo in your device or you will not be able to see the website anymore.

If you want to see what's the problem, just try to open paizo.com in a private window.

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

Re: the crit - darn. I think I just got excited after struggling to get into the site; my current workaround is working but it's been a frustrating struggle.

And speaking if, is there any information about what or why the log in isn't working properly?

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

They say it is fixed now. They did not give explanations.

My guess is they are changing how the site manages login and some of the changes are not properly managed by some CDN or cache or something. Just no idea xD

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

It might have broken again, I can't log in properly and I've tried a few different options. My work around is still good for now but I think it's still borked. If it's not Paizo then it's on my end but that's unlikely.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

The remaining one was in a bad position, I decided to wrap up the encounter, it would have been easy at this point, and have us moving again.

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

Alright, the log in seems to have fixed itself, broken again, and fixed itself again. I just wish they'd say what happened besides 'it broke'

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

A head's up for everyone, specifically GM - I will be moving over the next few weeks and wanted to let everyone know so that should the game need to be moved along, Adriana can be NPCd and all that. I should be able to get posts in but can't guarantee that while doing all of the organizing/packing.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Thanks for the heads up Adriana.

I was kind of waiting to see more discussion with the ideas Splits brought up in Gameplay. But I will push in the direction suggested by Splits if there is no more input.

Also, remember this is last opportunity to buy stuff in Pridon's Hearth before you head again into the wilderness ;)

I won't be able to post until Monday but I will consider what we might need.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Oh man, I really laughed for true with that last post Tonny. It makes the GM eager to keep coming back to the campaign. Keep that going! :)

Poking my head in to say I'm still here, just still handling moving stuff - paperwork, packing, all that awful stuff. Barring anything crazy, it should all be sorted and done by November 1st, just in time for Thanksgiving panic.

Will try to get a post in and catch up with everyone.

M Human Druid (Restorer) 5 - HP 36/37 - LF HP 27/28 - AC 16 - TAC 12 - FF 14 - CMD 14 - Init +6 - Fort +5 - Ref +3 - Will +8 (+2 storm effects) - Perc +15 - SM +18 - Wind 8/8 - Wild Shape 1/1 - Hero Points 3/3 - CLW 21/50

I've always wondered, weapons such as a Bite that are B/P/S or a Morningstar that is B/P, how do they interact with Split (EX)?

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Good question.

Unless someone can provide more insight I will rule if the weapon says AND then the slashing or piercing part of the damage makes the creature to split, whereas if it says OR you can chose which one to use and avoid the splitting.

In the case of bite, the natural attacks entry says:
"The Damage Type column refers to the sort of damage that the natural attack typically deals: bludgeoning (B), slashing (S), or piercing (P). Some attacks deal damage of more than one type, depending on the creature. In such cases all the damage is considered to be of all listed types for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction."

Thus I tend to think it applies all types of damage at the same time and splits the jelly.

Splitting the creature though can be a great strategy if you have an area spell to throw and erase all the smaller parts.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Also you can fetch as a move action a piece of the fallen ceiling or any other object you imagination can create in the hut.

Rules for improvised weapons are here. It would strike as a club I think.

Human Ranger 8| HP 47/53 | AC 19/14/15| CMB +10| CMD 24| F +8| R +11| W +6| Init +4 Per +12| Longbow +15 (1d8) arrow count: 17 regular, 16 +1

that's not looking good! down to 2 HP in one round... ouch

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

The grab+constrict combination is very dangerous because the extra damage triggers in without having to start the round already grappled.

Fortunately the jelly has a terrible Dex of 1, which gives a very low CMD of 12 (which equals to the free DC). Thanks to Tonny's support you made that one :)

Splits the Leaves wrote:
Wait, what? That sounds really lackluster, that is very disappointing. Why would I trade SNA II for CLW as a 2nd level slot. Yikes.

I played a restorer druid at Mummy's Mask and share your pain. Also heal is level 7 instead of 6. But the most outrageous is for an archetype called "Restorer" they have no access to 'restoration' and 'greater restoration' only 'lesser restoration'.

If I ever had the chance to rewrite that archetype I would definitely gave them the cure and restoration spells plus heal at the cleric level (probably I would add all the conjuration [healing] spells) at the trade off of losing the animal companion by forcing them to pick the Healing domain for example.

About the Ochre, Ingolf just brought it below the 10 hp line, so any kind of damage will bring it down now, instead of making it split.

Checking in, things have been all sorts at my end - I almost broke my foot a few days ago while packing, so on top of still having to pack and sort stuff, I know have a limp and bruised foot. The 'catch falling things with your foot' reflex let me down.

I'll attempt to have a post in either tonight or tomorrow, I mostly wanted to say I'm still wanting to play and be here, things are just all over.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Hope you get well soon!

I learnt to not stop things with my feet when they fall thanks to an event on 2002. The Korean-Japan Football World Cup was to start when Cañizares the Spanish national team goalkeeper saw his cologne pot fall in his bathroom and stopped it with his foot. The broken crystals that resulted teared his tendons and he lost the World Cup due to this. Which by the way gave the opportunity to a super-young Casillas who 8 years later would lead the team to win our first World Cup.

So ever since when I see something falling and I have the reflex to stop it, I think to myself ¡Ei! ¡Cañizares! and quickly remove my foot from the trajectory xD

It might take some days of study, but Tonny will finally decipher all of the spells in the book: 1st—alarm, comprehend languages, identify, magic weapon, unseen servant; 2nd—minor image, protection from arrows, see invisibility, spectral hand; 3rd—dispel magic, heroism, slow

So the ones Tonny could use would be:

- Comprehend Languages (10 gp)
- Identify (10 gp)
- Protection from Arrows (40 gp)
- See Invisibility (40 gp)
- Heroism (90 gp)

Given that 3rd lvl extracts won't come into use until lvl 7, we should be safe to ignore the cost of Heroism (which is a shame, because that's a lovely effect to pass out to friends). He'll start with the 1st lvl extracts and continue on to the 2nd lvl ones as time (and money) allows.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Ok, we have two people saying to accompany Jheri and one person to accompany Muhdzuzi.

I would preferably have more than half the party pointing into one direction, but if we do not come into an absolute majority I will push towards whatever has more votes.
