When selected, the plotting begins here.

Once again, the idea is high school kids with rough backgrounds corresponding the character. High school jock=fighters, nerd=wizards or the opposite can be tried for karmic reasons or the effect of making a conscious effort to break a pattern -- abused child has a desire to be powerful, loner has desire to be charismatic leader. The idea is you can roleplay the high schooler in italics with thoughts.

Male Probably human Computer Scientist 1/ Character Synthesizer 20/ Crazy 99

Hmm, I think only an art nerd would come up with the fantasy equivalent of a graffiti artist.

Male Human Cleric 2 (AC 20, T 11, FF 20 / HP 20/20 / F +5, R +0, W +6 / Per +4)

Belrain is a suburban kid, typical nice guy playing D&D for wish fulfillment.

Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 3 (HP: 21/21 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+3, R+5, W+5 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +7)

Checking in. Rodney is the nerd looking to prove brains and better than brawn

Intro is posted, please check in by CoB Wednesday to keep your spot.

Jeff is scrawny kid that gets constantly bullied. He gets revenge in game.

Female Gnome Illusionist 1 HP: 4/4, AC: 12 | Prime: DEX, INT | +3 Listen, Darkvision 60 ft.

Jason's pretty much me, except more of an artist. Draws in class, easily distracted, and just a little unhinged.

oh and Ping was arrived.

Missing rogue and fighter

Given that we already have a drop in the first two days and the rogue in group 1 hasn't reported in yet, I am combining groups. I will bet this attrition won't be our last. The percentage of PbPs that languish is pretty high, and rather have two games hanging by a thread, I'd rather have one strong one.

The encounters will be challenging, that I assure you, unless you really are that good.

Female Gnome Illusionist 1 HP: 4/4, AC: 12 | Prime: DEX, INT | +3 Listen, Darkvision 60 ft.

Oh boy.

Well at least it won't be boring.

Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3

Ama's player is Xavier Alexander, a fairly average guy, save that he is one of those that knows almost everyone, or they know him. He's realized that talking to people is just talking, and he is not afraid to be a goof when it suits him. Currently coasting through school, he's one of those happy-go-lucky, go-with-the-flow types.

Grand Lodge

m elf wizard 2

right-o, looks like the band just grew a bit. means we're gonna see some bigger action, most likely, but it also means more party members to fund the crafting! rings for everyone!

Hopefully with a *bigger* party there will be *bigger* foes to fight (like giants!).

Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3

It occurs to me that depending on how we perceive the "blending" of the characters with their players, intents may change.. For instance, if the party is good on Divine magic, Ama will be classing into monk. While XR was playing her on the page, scale mail was fine. Now that he has to actually wear it, however.. It's got to come off.

In regards to the character he now is.. I'm going with Ama having been a facet of his personality, perhaps. Not that she isn't him, but now they're 60/40... and that raises some interesting philosophical arguments.. Shame she wasn't a summoner... It would be a question to see whether or not the Eidolon that got summoned was him or her. ;)

Because I'm probably not the only one having a hard time keeping track of who's who:

  • Ama female half elf cleric Xavier
  • Belrain human cleric Ryan
  • Bizzlemont gnome wizard Rodney
  • Durahl human fighter Daniel
  • Elgoron elf wizard Louis
  • Flaeg dwarf barbarian Jeff
  • Ping female gnome bard Jason
  • Strang half orc rogue Steve

Hope I got everyone right.

Thanks for the summary Flaeg -- I'll paste it into campaign tab. Let me know what you think so far--like Columbus we are pioneers breaking new ground here.

The module is for 4-7 -- it will easily be challenging for 8 with a little extra sauce.

Since I don't want to Flaeg to have to update the roster, we are calling the party complete at 8.

You are entering ORLANE!

Please put together a marching order -- standard two wide.

Male Human Cleric 2 (AC 20, T 11, FF 20 / HP 20/20 / F +5, R +0, W +6 / Per +4)

Belrain naturally gravitates to the front of the marching order. Feel free to push him back if you think your character is better suited to it, but don't expect him to like it. ;)

Grand Lodge

m elf wizard 2

Elgoron would prefer not to be the last man in the group, rather be nice and centered to see what's coming front or back.

Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3

Ama's got reach, so she'll let Belrain have the front, and follow up behind him for now.

Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 3 (HP: 21/21 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+3, R+5, W+5 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +7)

Bizzle will move to the rear, but not the very rear of the group.

Male Human Per +3

I am here m8s. Did I miss my spot?

Flaeg will keep pace with Belrain, just to his left.

Male Human Fighter 1 | HP: 15/15 | AC: 20 FF: 18 T: 13 | F: +4 R: +3 W: +2 | Perc: +1 Init: +2 | Speed: 30 ft

I'm going to bow out of this campaign as well.

Good luck everyone.

Not anymore. One opened. At one drop a day we are not doing well.

Terion good to go.

Female Gnome Illusionist 1 HP: 4/4, AC: 12 | Prime: DEX, INT | +3 Listen, Darkvision 60 ft.

Ping is some where in the middle

Anybody else 'not feeling it' -- better now than later.
Welcome aboard Terion--As the fighter in the group, put together the final marching order.

Grand Lodge

m elf wizard 2

as the dragon swoops down to engulf you all in his fire breath, your cleric says "sorry guys, just not feeling it. bowing out."
^worst case scenario.

Yeah, I'd say better now than later, LOL.

1 2
3 4
5 6
7 8
Terion is 1.

Male Human Per +3

My suggestion:

Terion 1
Ama 2
Ping 3
Elgoron 4
Bizzlemont 5
Flaeg 6
Belrain 7
Strang 8

Agh, put me where I can charge!

Actually whererever is fine

Female Gnome Illusionist 1 HP: 4/4, AC: 12 | Prime: DEX, INT | +3 Listen, Darkvision 60 ft.

Works for me, keeps a negotiator or two close at hand to keep things from blowing up too fast.

HP 36/36 | Per +9, Traps +1 | CMB +6 | CMD 16, AC 18, Touch 15, Flat 15 | Fort +4, Ref +8, Will +2

Heh, forgot to dot Discussion. Oops.

Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3

Here's a question: Assuming that Ama makes level 2 (and goes monk) She already has Improved Unarmed Strike. Would it be alright to graduate it into Weapon Focus/Finesse: Unarmed Strike?

We will find a replacement feat, probably weapon focus unarmed.

Time to come up with a bed down plan.

Male Human Cleric 2 (AC 20, T 11, FF 20 / HP 20/20 / F +5, R +0, W +6 / Per +4)

So we get 2 Merchants and a Family? The ladies in one room, 2 men in one and 4 in the other?

So:
- Ama, Ping
- Bizzlemont, Belrain, Elgoron, Flaeg
- Terion, Strang

Thoughts?

Male Human Per +3

I have no particular preference regarding the sleeping arrangements. If you guys do, we do it as you wish.

Female Gnome Illusionist 1 HP: 4/4, AC: 12 | Prime: DEX, INT | +3 Listen, Darkvision 60 ft.

Works for me.

That's fine with me. You guys will probably have to carry Flaeg in. Jeff's way to excited with his first unrestricted access to alcohol to do anything but drink, drink, drink.

Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 3 (HP: 21/21 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+3, R+5, W+5 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +7)

As one of the merchant rooms has an extra bed, you could go 2-3-3 instead of 2-2-4. I assume the ladies take the first room. Anyone else staying up but Ama.

Now I have: first room Ama and Ping
Second room: Elgoron, Terion, Strang
Third room: Bizzlemont, Belrain, Flaeg

Staying up=Ama

Anyone else staying up?

Male Human Per +3

Only while talking to Ama.

Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3

Ama is only awake for first watch, or that 4hr span of it, anyways.

Grand Lodge

m elf wizard 2

seems fine to me.

Female Gnome Illusionist 1 HP: 4/4, AC: 12 | Prime: DEX, INT | +3 Listen, Darkvision 60 ft.

All good here.

Werehare Inquisitive 3/ Seeker 3/ Bard 3

Oh, I'm sorry! I completely forgot to post this:

"In the event that a DM action requires a reflexive check/saves/etc for my character, I have no qualms whatsoever about the DM rolling for the check, especially when waiting for me to roll it would hold up the game."

Rather than have an extracted combat that may lead to a split party, I am going with the entire party is captured option. Just think it is best for all. Do not want half the party having to rescue the inactive other half.

Works for me. Flaeg's easy to kidnap in his current state!
