Yes, Selena, good idea...if you don't mind, finish healing up Bull & Maka as best you can and we can save the wand charges for later...

GM_Almonihah |

I'll have to think about a good way to keep track of who's benefitted from the Heal hex.

![]() |

I was curious at your statement, GM, so I googled...wasn’t aware of that 24-hour rule for heal hexes...perhaps those healed by it might put it in their header?
Selena hasn’t posted that she’s using yet though...if she doesn’t, Fin’ll use the wand to heal Bull & Maka a couple times each...hopefully that’ll get ‘em a bit more buff for whatever doom’s awaiting us in the next room. ;)

I'm attending the online PaizoCon this weekend. Fitting in 10 games in 3 days and an evening means I have very little other time. I'll try to catch up on the thread and post though.

Maka Na'Shota |

Sorry for the delay, stayed at a cabin for the holiday weekend and couldn't get the wifi working. I'll catch up and get a post up.

![]() |

No, worries, Maka, sounds like fun...hope you had a good time.

![]() |

I added a series of yellow arrows to the map that retraces the route back to the room where we met Marislova, pointing to the door that I think she said led to Jadrenka...as we'd already cleared all those areas, hopefully we won't run into anything on the way back...

![]() |

Are we interested in going to either the blue or purple areas?

GM_Almonihah |

The funny thing is, those 'kids' were actually disguised monsters that were going to attack you, but... A) you all left pretty quickly, B) I didn't think it made sense for you to get attacked here, and C) it's an encounter that's annoying but not actually dangerous because of the low damage output of the monsters. So I just decided to skip it.
It is *definitely* time to level up now. If you walk into the final battle at level 8 it might end badly, though your extra-large party might save you. I usually prefer to have level-ups happen when you rest, but if you guys are determined to keep going it doesn't have to be.

![]() |

Quasit would love to rest, but we were told that the centaur priest was calling on the demons *right now*. So, can't afford to wait, unfortunately.

![]() |

Thanks, GM.
Edited: Yeah, Q’s right. looks like time is of the essence...
Are we interested in going to either the blue or purple areas?
Also means we wouldn’t have time for the blue or purple areas either…unless we chose to come back afterwards...

Got Fin leveled. He took another dip into Zen Archer...here are the most noticeable changes:
40' base speed (automatic if wearing no armor upon reaching 3rd level monk)
2 new feats (Point Blank Shot is automatic upon reaching 3rd level in Zen Archer):
Point Blank Shot: You do not provoke attacks of opportunity when firing a Longbow while threatened.
Clustered Shots: When you use a full-attack action to make multiple ranged weapon attacks against the same opponent, total the damage from all hits before applying that opponent’s damage reduction.
I was thinking about Clustered Shots any way, but after the fight with the Asura, my decision was a whole lot easier...

![]() |

We could always ask Jadrenka. "Hey, you know, we're really tired and all. Would it be ok if we rested up before going to that centaur thing. I mean, do you think he'd wait for us?"

Ah, that's not so surprising then, considering our first encounter with Jadrenka...after giving us a door key and being mostly nice to us in the Maiden, she disappeared and left us to fight the cow she was with, which turned out to be a gorgun or something of the sort...
We could always ask Jadrenka. "Hey, you know, we're really tired and all. Would it be ok if we rested up before going to that centaur thing. I mean, do you think he'd wait for us?"
Might be too late for that...and after what the GM said about us leaving quickly, if we stuck around to ask more, she might've decided to sic the kids on us...

Taking another level of Kineticist.
HP: 1d8 ⇒ 7
She reduces the burn cost by 1 additional point at 8th, 11th, 14th, 17th, and 20th levels.
Maka's iron man flying is now complete! Flame jet is a move action now so I can do it twice per turn. Also hovering is no longer an action so falling is a thing of the past for Maka.

![]() |

That's cool, Maka...perhaps it's time to upgrade your title to Supreme Omnipotent Mistress of Fire?
We'll have to play this tune now every time you take off:

![]() |

![]() |

Yeah, it's bad...but when I was a kid, that was my introduction to Iron Man...and I loved it. There were several old Marvel hero cartoons with corny songs like that; I still remember all the tunes. There was one for Captain America, Hulk, and Thor as well...
ETA: Almost forgot, there was a cartoon/theme song in that Marvel group for Submariner as well, if anyone remembers him...always liked him better than Aquaman...
Maka's post reminded me we can roll for HP when leveling up; so used to PFS that I automatically take the average...
Hit Points: 1d8 ⇒ 8

GM_Almonihah |

We'll see, you might find you need to rest after some of the encounters before the centaur in the Crone...
And of course, no matter how quick or slow you are, you will arrive precisely in time. :D ...unless I decide to deviate from the script of the AP... >:D

Haha no kidding. I guess tape was too expensive for a second take.

Quasit is leveled up. Took Spring Attack for the 9th level feat, otherwise pretty standard ticking up of existing skills. +5d6 Sneak now.
Heads up to GM, Quasit has the Trap-spotting rogue talent. So you should be giving her a +16 Perception check behind your GM screen when she is approaching a trap.

GM_Almonihah |

Good--I prefer not to spring traps on you just because you forgot to mention for the umpteenth time that you were searching for traps.

![]() |

I've completed my leveling. At level 9 I got some new bloodline abilities.
In particular, I now have Snow Shroud.
Snow Shroud (Su): At 9th level, you ignore concealment and Perception penalties in natural or magical snow, ice, fog, and similar weather conditions. In addition, you can surround yourself with a cloak of swirling snow for a number of rounds per day equal to your sorcerer level. This power acts and deals damage as a fire shield (chill shield) that sheds no light. It provides a 20% miss chance on attacks made against you and grants a bonus on Stealth checks equal to 1/2 your sorcerer level in snowy or icy areas. You can use this ability once per day at 9th level, twice per day at 17th, and three times per day at 20th.
I also picked up some new spells and improved my Spell Penetration (with a feat).

![]() |

Cool ability, Saki…
I think the GM’s letting us bot Tez just till the end of this book and then he’ll be dropped. We’re gonna need to invest in some healing wands or some other alternative healing after this book…

GM_Almonihah |

Yes, that is the plan for Tez. If you'd prefer we could possibly try to recruit another player, but this AP is a rather awkward one for people to join midway (unless they're going to play a centaur or one of the other creatures I'm not going to spoil you'll meet in other modules).

Bulvi |

Hit Points: 1d8 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 5
+1 BAB
+1 Ref
+1 Will
Feat: Advanced Weapon Training (Versatile Training Heavy Blade. Diplomacy and Bluff)
Weapon Training-Versatile Training Crossbow (Stealth and Sense Motive)
Skills 7=2+2+1+2 (Retrained from Sense Motive)
Climb +1, Knowledge Arcane +1, Linguistics +2(Giant, Aklo), Spellcraft +1, Swim +1, Survival +1

OK, I moved everyone either in the room or by the door. I shrank the icons to match the GM's description as the squares being 10'...I took into account Izzy fleeing and Fin stepping back 5' after firing. I didn't see an icon for Selena, so I made her a temporary one...

GM_Almonihah |

Apologies, the roofing project continues so I haven't had a lot of spare time to post.

![]() |

No worries, GM. I think we’re waiting on Maka’s first round action…

![]() |

Maka with the signature Ironman move! Hope that takes it out...
I assumed with Bull being blind that he'd accept Tez's offer to pull/guide him back down the hallway so I moved them on the map...dang, isn't this the second time Bull's been blinded by a raven swarm? Albeit the first one was a live one...he's gonna have a bird phobia after this...
I'll go ahead and roll Bull's Fort Save for the fog creature...
Fort Save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

![]() |

I went back to one of Tez's old posts and figured I'd repost here so we wouldn't lose track. It's about the group purchase made when we were in that Centaur town:
1 x wand of CLW (it's a band-aid stick)
2 x scrolls of lesser restoration
2 x protection from evil scrolls (reroll on a save vs mind control)
2 x scrolls of delay poison. (deals with Poison)
2 x scrolls of remove blindness/deafness (deals with the nasty common curse)
2 x scrolls of remove curse (removes curses)
5 x vials anti plague (reroll for disease)
2 x vials of stillgut (reroll for nauseated condition)
1 x scroll of breath of life (break in case of party member death)
1 x spring loaded scroll case (to make getting the breath of life scroll out quicker)
2 x scrolls of comprehend languages (makes up for selling the spectacles of understanding only costs 50gp)
I thought I recalled there being something to remove blindness and looks like there are two scrolls. I couldn't remember if Tez had that spell but I didn't see it on his spell list so I went back and checked here. So Tez-bot (aka Qaw) can heal Bull of his blindness before we move on...

I'm sorry. I didn't realize just how hard this was going to be, and now it's going to be another few weeks before it is over. I'm going to officially drop everything for a while. I hope to be back, especially with this character, but I just can't see straight at the moment and I don't know how long this is going to be.

Hope things get better for you soon, Selena. Take care of yourself…

Updated the loot sheet. @Almonihah, could you throw that in the header please?

![]() |

I had moved Bulvi up front since he had implied that in his post…since that would’ve been his 1st round movement, and since he’s not in melee range yet to attack, I’d imagine he’d go total defense here for AC29…

Maka Na'Shota |

Sorry for the delay. Moving took an extra day and I'm wiped out. Going to catch up in the morning.

![]() |

No worries, Maka, moves are tough. Hope all went well…
