Oh, well, that pretty much solves it. I may have to rethink how useful a concealed holster is after all though, as it may allow you to draw a concealed weapon as a move action, but you pay a price for that, namely -5 on Stealth checks to conceal said weapon. With a lightsaber, I think it is better to have it as well hidden as possible rather than quickly accessible. Perhaps as you suggested, something like Kanan for the time being until maybe Jeren's Stealth is high enough to warrant a -5 penalty.

But I think I will decide to make the change or not if selected, as for the time being it is a moot point.

Here's Spazmodeus' submission.
Appearance and Personality still need to be done...

Okay, here's the Friday evening status update.

Daaneth Qilat (Togruta Scoundrel, played by Xynen, Complete)
Vessani (Zabrak Scout, played by DekoTheBarbarian, Complete)
Jarl Tenhos (Human Soldier, played by Gotal the Umbaran, Complete)
NT-2B (Droid Noble, played by YoricksRequiem, Complete)
Plungo Muun (Kel Dor Jedi (Baran Do), played by Moon Papa)
Jeren Vallin (Human Jedi, played by F. Castor)

Submission, Incomplete
Jace Concorkill (Vurk Jedi, played by Donavaan Taar, needs Background)

Donavaan Taar:

Your Use the Force skill should be +9 by my count (+5 Trained, +4 Cha). You have +10 next to Force Powers and +8 under Skills.

Nara Vix (Human Jedi (Jensaarai), played by Spazmodeus, housekeeping needed)
Nara Vix:
You have one too many feats. Keep 2 of Force Boon, Force Training, and Strong in the Force.

You have 10 listed for the number of Force Points in your profile, but 8 listed in the quick reference area.

You appear to have 4 trained skills, plus Use the Force. Jedi are 2+Int mod (0), plus an extra one for human, giving you 3 trained skills plus Use the Force. Remember, the background doesn’t give you training in a skill automatically, it lets you add one of the three skills to your list of class skills, and gives you a +2 untrained bonus to the other 2.

Flat-footed Reflex is 12 (+3 Dex mod). Your initiative should also be +3, not +0.

I suspect you copied the general stat block from your previous Jensaarai character, which is why there are so many math errors and inconsistencies. Mostly, you just need to clean things up a bit.

Concept
Moroka Janis
Haruhiko888

Interested
Philo Pharynx
Loup Blanc
Otm-Shank
CaptainFord

Okay, the official time deadline is going to be 5:00 PM EST tomorrow. If people need more time to finish up their characters and ask for it, I may extend that, but you have to tell me you need the time. Else I'll just assume you aren't interested in playing.

Purge Survivor or disgraced

Dark Archive

Looks like we're in the home stretch! Good luck everyone, there are quite a few character concepts here I hope I'll get the chance to play with!

That's actually a tough call. It depends on whether or not you want to play up the "Survivor" aspect of not being killed in Order 66, or the fact that the entire Jedi Order is Disgraced, and, as a member, that disgrace transfers to you.

That's really the choice it boils down to.

I would say Purge Survivor, it is what Gotal would have picked if backgrounds were used in that campaign.

It's the bottom of the 9th now! Bases are loaded, and the count is at 3 balls and 2 strikes! Will I make it? Who knows?!

Total modifiers less than a +4, I think I'll wait for tomorrow to see if the dice gods will have a bit more luck.

Purge survivor makes more sense.

I have to say, haruhiko, that is some very bad luck on the dice.

Yep, so I'm going to try tomorrow and see if the dice gods are more forgiving. If I go for the intellectual soldier it will probably be a human, and if I do a Zeltron Noble it will be going down the tree in I believe the old republic book and presence tree where I can help people with their second wind acting as a recruiter for well anybody (possibly a rebellion recruiter picking up anybody at a bar who looks down on their luck, could use a helping hand, and has some beef against the empire).

OK, thanks for the notes GM, housekeeping finished.

Added a bit of appearance and personality as well.

Good luck every one!

Aye, good luck to all!

Also, does the game have a bit of a Firefly vibe or is it just me?

Not just you. That's partially intentional. A lot of games that aren't automatically Rebellion-focused in this era of Star Wars tend to have that vibe, simply because the players are usually the crew on a ship just trying to make enough money to keep flying. It's a fairly universal theme. Heck, even some of Han Solo's stand alone books have that vibe.

In related news, today is the day! Have everything submitted by 5:00 pm EST! If you need more time, don't hesitate to talk to me. If you need help figuring out how to give your concept life, message me or post here. I'm more than happy to help!

I am rather fond of that vibe actually. :-)

Nothing wrong with a good Firefly vibe! And woot! I get to find out today if Vessani makes it!

Oh, definitely not, especially considering a Firefly-vibed campaign favors banter and banter... well, it can be great fun. And it does seem like quite the varied roster of potential characters, which is also a plus. So, I really hope I make it. :-D

Tick tock, tick tock...

Here's hoping!

More than a few awesome characters submitted to this one !

Submissions are now closed! Thanks to everyone for submitting! It was a very difficult choice, and some people didn't get their characters submitted, but the chosen six in no particular order are:

Daaneth Qilat
Vessani
Jarl Tenhos
NT-2B
Jeren Vallin
Jace Concorkill

Those of you who were chosen may report to the Discussion thread. Those of you were not, feel free to keep an eye on the game.

Ah well, Gratz and have fun. ....

Congrats!

just got home, ah well. Congrats and have fun everybody.

4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 6, 5) = 21 - 4 = 17
