Growing up an orphan in the bustling city of Tala on Burgis, Nara lived a nomadic existence among the street children, scrabbling for survival
beneath the city's towering citadels.
Early on she developed a knack for sneakery, stealing food or tech when needed. But she always felt somewhat sheepish at taking
what wasn't hers, but the necessity of an empty stomach eased those thoughts.
As adolecence came and went, Nara grew lithe and strong, easily entering the homes of the rich and wealthy with nary a trace, always
trying to provide for both herself and those younger than she.
One day, a little after her 17th birthday, she returned to her gang's hideaway, and found the entire area torched beyond recognition.
Watching safely from a concealed vantage, she watched as white armored soldiers stomped this way and that, crushing the burnt bones
of her family beneath thier boots.
Blinking back tears, she forced herself to watch , observe. Slowly, she left her vantage point and drew closer to where an obvious officer
was giving orders. Eavesdropping, Nara learned that the strike had been in error , they'd been after a smuggling ring. But the callous
indifference of the officer and soldiers to the fate of her friends, made this Empire they talked of her mortal enemy.
She's seen some of these white-armored soldiers around, but now began to see them everywhere.
She began to sneak into their barracks, poisoning the water; thier bunkers, boobytrapping their weapons.
It was returning from another successful sortie , that Nara was pulled off of her feet into the shadows.
Almost immediately released, the figure that had somehow sneaked up on her, put a finger to his lips, then spread his hands out in peace.
Glaring at the man, Nara watched him closely, then crossed her arms and leaned against the nearby wall.
"I'm a friend, or at least not your enemy. I fight the Empire as well. I've watched you for some time. You're good." he said,
and Nara puffed up in pride, "But you could be better." he said with a smile, deflating the girl a bit.
"You can do a lot more harm to the Empire if you joined the Alliance. We're fighting the Emperor all across the galaxy. I can
offer you training and a greater purpose. What do you say?"
Nara looked at the man through narrowed eyes. She'd heard about the Alliance, whispers mainly, about how they'd done some real damage to the
Empire here and there.
Considering her options, Nara decided to trust her gut. He obviously outclassed her where the sneak mattered , he could have killed her
if that was his wish.
With a nod, Nara became a Rebel, and was off-world within days. She never met the man again.
Her skills gained her entrance into the world of the Rebel Special Operations Group.
Her training was brutal, amazing her with how much she didn't know.
Then came insertion into various combat units, always proving that the man on Burgis was a true judge of talent.
A number of promotions came, as well as some demotions; Nara was still adjusting to the command structure of the Alliance. Some times, following
orders didn't come easy.
However, she found true joy in the camaraderie she had discovered with her fellow Rebel, fighting the common foe.
Each unit she was attached to became her surrogate family, replacing the one she lost on Burgis. Fiercely protective, she does her best to ensure
the safety of her comrades.
Any failures that happen, and they've happened enough, generates serious soul searching in Nara.
Showing excellence in her specialty, Nara's has risen to the rank of specialist, though her experience leading others is sparse given the solitary nature
of her combat role.
Driven in her pursuit of revenge against the Empire, Nara's loyalty to the Alliance is unquestioning.
