After all, a droid as it's own master could be most amusing.I'll go that route if I don't get any takers from Smugglers who want to acquire me, or if it should happen that one does but we don't both get into the game. Essentially my backstory will be the same either way, it would just be the last ~2 weeks that will have changed.
At any rate, I have some more that I want to write up for it, but I think I have my crunch just about finished. I want to put in some more information about the Droid systems, but otherwise I'm happy with it.
I could probably find a way to fit you in as my robot if you'd like. Might make it to where I get you from a rebel I meet after joining the rebellion or something.
Also, there is a prestige class called, I believe, Independent Droid that you'd probably find interesting.

It's a definite possibility! Let's see how things shake out over the next couple of days.

Absolutely, I'd forgotten about it, actually! There are definitely 2-3 talents that I want from that. Sapience and the Will boost alone make it worth a one level dip. I'm up in the air if I'd follow it for longer than 1 or 3 levels, because of the lack of Feats. But it is very cool all the same.

Alright, I've yet to use this system so if I've got any mistakes on the character sheet I apologize, I'll be scanning over it again tomorrow to double check anything.
Despite his love of hunting and stalking prey, Daaneth is also a jovial and friendly man, clearly a product of the strong Togruta sense of community, he loves meeting new individuals and getting into a bit of trouble. He's always quick with a joke and eager to lend a hand.
As a child, Daaneth was taught to hunt with the other children of his village. When it came time, he and the other hunters who were coming of age went out in their own hunting party, to prove they had learned the skills of their people. Cunning, Cooperation, and Determination saw the youths bring in a number of kills, but nothing to prove their worth to the tribe. Until the Akul struck.
It had been tracking them for weeks, and finally in the dead of night it made it's attack, lashing out at the young Daaneth who was on watch. One of its claws took off a piece of his head tail and carved a trench in his chest. Despite the pain, he called out for the rest of his hunting party, and together they exacted their revenge. To this day every Togruta in that party wears one of the Akul's teeth around their neck, a prize awarded to them after they proudly carried their kill back to the village in triumph.
Years later, long after he left Shili behind to hunt species unknown throughout the galaxy, he would repeat his tale to Teeka, a Rodian woman that had stolen one of his kills that evening on Rodia. She was impressed, and they spent the next week hunting big game together.
Before long he was traveling with her. She funded her hunting expeditions by smuggling goods underneath the new Empire's nose. They happened to be in need of a pilot, and after a few heart wrenching lessons Daaneth took up the new mantle of Getaway Driver. After another handful of years full of tavern brawls, trophy hunts, underhanded remarks at Imperial soldiers and even a few funerals for close friends, Daaneth decided to take it easy for a while at Krai Ven station while Teeka was off on a job with a few others from their pack. There wasn't much to the station, but they had used it as a drop off a couple times and for some reason he'd taken a liking to it.

hmmm... Since Entee seems to be focusing on the droid, my first idea is less good. I don't think the party has room for multiple droids.
My thought was Q3-8Z, an Imperial astromech who had gotten annoyed with the regular mindwipes. He started falsifying work orders to put them off, and then to perform upgrades. He'd be a nice little slicer. Eventually his fake paperwork was discovered and he needed to get out of there.

YoricksRequiem |

@Xynen - it looks like your sheet is private.
@Philo - There's no saying that I'd get in, or that there couldn't be two droids! R2 and CPO were a real thing. With a cast of 4-6 players, I think there's wiggle room. You should submit the character that you most want to play. If we do both get in, I'd happily tweak my intended direction to give you more room to be the Slicer.
Probably not too early to kick this off:
Submissions
Character / Player / Species Class
Daaneth Qilat / Xynen / Togruta Scoundrel
Jarl Tehnos / Gotal of Umbara / Human Soldier
NT-2B / YoricksRequiem / Droid Noble
Vessani / DekoTheBarbarian / Zabrak Scout
Dots
Donavaan Taar
Philo Pharynx
The Nine
Loup Blanc
F. Castor
Otm-Shank
Spazmodeus
Moroka Janis
Moon Papa

You missed Deko's character, Yorick, so the total submissions are up to 4.
Jarl Tenhos (Human Soldier, played by Gotal of Umbara)
Vessani (Zabrak Scout, played by DekoTheBarbarian)
NT-2B (Droid Noble, played by YoricksRequiem)
Daaneth Qilat (Togruta Scout(?), played by Xynen)
I'll link Daaneth's sheet once I can actually take a look at it, Xynen. I've got some good concepts so far.
Dots/Interest
Donavaan Taar
Philo Pharynx
The Nine
Loup Blanc
F. Castor
Otm-Shank
Spazmodeus
Moroka Janis
Moon Papa
CaptainFord
Philo, feel free to submit a second droid if you want.
Everyone, make sure you have your Background listed on your sheet in your submission, as well as what benefit you get from it.
Individual notes:
It looks good now (just list your background and the benefit). Ignore what I said earlier about credits, I accidentally added your prosthesis into the cost.
Concept is good. Couple of things on the Skills:
Mechanics requires a talent in order to be a class skill for the Noble, and I didn't see anything about droids getting it for free. Make sure you post your Background trait and bonus.
Could I get a breakdown of what you spent your 1,000 credits from systems and accessories, and what you spent your class starting credits on?
EDIT: And in the time I was posting this, Vessani's sheet got added and Xynen's sheet was made public. I'll look at it now. That's what I get for typing a long post.
I'm accepting a maximum of 6 people, Deko.

Went with the Crippled Event Background, which starts you off with a cybernetic prosthesis (arm for Vessani), and I chose Treat Injury as my bonus trained skill. I think the cybernetic arm is what brought me over my credit limit for your calculations. I get one for free without having to pay for it with my starting creds.

I realized that when I went to read it. Modified my assessment further up thread.
I'm calculating that you've got 920 credits leftover, not 470.
I also feel like, given your character's history as a hunter, Survival would be a good skill to have trained. It would tie the rest of your backstory to your crunch. If you'd like, I can give you an Occupation background in place of Scarred that will allow you to add Survival to your class skill list. We can all it Hunter. Obviously, you would keep the scar for RP purposes.

For some reason I paid a 2x black market price on my blaster, which frankly makes no sense whatsoever. I blame a lack of coffee. So that accounts for the 500 credits.
I like the hunter occupation background, initially I was going Scout which gave me survival but between my racial and the Feats I was considering, Scoundrel ended up being a better starting point.
To round out the Hunter occupation the other two skills could be Endurance and Perception?

As far as Mechanics - I was taking the "Planet of Origin - Corellia" background trait to get it. I'd get it in Class when I hit level 2 and take Scoundrel anyway, so I could take a different trait if you'd rather, I'd just then have to burn a feat to actually get the +5 on it. I'd probably take Initiative as a class skill at level 1 instead, if things went that route. Alternatively, grab a trait that gave me Stealth in class - which I'd actually also get anyway at Level 2.
I'm still working on the background so I think that it ought to make sense why I have Mechanics. The other traits that offered it super didn't work for what I have in mind for the character, or didn't actually offer a benefit that was of any use. "Crippled" obviously doesn't work, and the "Technology" Occupation gives +2 to untrained skills on skills that I already have trained. I figured at least with Corellia I'd get a bonus language that probably won't ever get used, haha.

GM Phntm888 |

@Xynen: Those are the skills I was thinking to round it out. The black market cost of the blaster pistol accounts for the difference in spending I was getting.
@NT-2B: Planet of Origin - Corellia is fine. I just didn't see it listed anywhere, so I wanted that clarified. I'll take a look at your droid parts now. You can be medium-sized, and just have a long torso. Looking at all your equipment, that might be the only way to fit everything.
@Donavaan: That's perfectly fine.

GM Phntm888 |

Since you are a medical droid, I would suggest that you drop some of your accessories (definitely the plasteel shell, since you don't have any Armor Proficiencies (-2 Check penalty)), and invest in things like a Medical Kit, Surgery Kit, and Medpacs.

![]() |

Alright, rearranged my skills, updated my background. Since I didn't actually have to pay black market price on that blaster I "refunded" the money and picked up an Ion Pistol.
I'm currently encumbered, but I'm assuming if the campaign is taking place, at least at first, on a space station, we probably have storage of some sort?

GM Phntm888 |

@Donavaan: Those are fine.
@Deko: Not the Unleashed stuff (since I'm not using Destiny points).
@Moon Papa: There is, I'll figure out which book.
@Jarl: That being Labor Day weekend in the US, it is 100% fine.
@Xynen: Public storage lockers, usable for a daily fee. Security questionable. You'll get access to some more permanent storage fairly early in the game.

NT-2B |

Okay, I think I have NT-2B completely rebuilt. I had to change my stats around for weight purposes, and I've dropped a few of my survivability items in favour of more Medpac type things. I haven't played this system before so I'm learning more and more all the ways it's different from normal D20, haha.
Is it just my idea or is your droid's name a play on "Not to be"? :-)
Completely intentional. :P My main name is YoricksRequiem. I'm a bit into Hamlet. Blame having been a Lit Major, haha.

Plungo Mu'un |

Bare Bones of my submission here, Crunch done and avatar selected, still have to buy gear and finalize some numbers.
Plungo Mu'un will have come from humble beginnings and eventually grow into a force adept.
I'll try to keep it true to Baran' Do themes and start out with sensory talents, but when he picks up force training in a couple levels he'll have some telekinetic tricks up his sleeve.
Due to conspiracies involving Sith and the sect of Baran' Do, Plungo Mu'un fled to the outer rims and will probably wield a pistol early on.
