We have one AP left after Return of the Runelords ^w^
That's true, but despite my dreams, Mr Jacobs isn't doing two in row, especially after the extra work of the glorious lvl 1-20 Return of the Runelords (plus he has admitted it's not going to happen). I fear we are going to get some rubbish about how goblins are no longer monsters.

Please please please DO NOT replace Lamashtu! The Mother of Monsters is my favorite Goddess in the entire game! Lamashtu is so different to every other deity in the Golarion pantheon, and her followers are truly terrifying. There is no other deity in any setting like Lamashtu, because most publishers don't have the guts to include a being as dark and adult themed as baby eating, mutant birthing Lamashtu. Seeing her replaced with Nocticula, the standard Weird Sex Dark Goddess, would be awful. We already have one Weird Sex Goddess (Calistria) and don't need another! If the Mother of Monsters goes, I will be so disappointed in Paizo.

Calistria is much more the goddess of individualism and vengeance than of weird sex. I also can't see a redeemed, or at least non-evil, Nocticula replacing Lamashtu and embracing the Mother of Monsters' current portfolio & followers. It'd be neat though if she killed Daclau-Sar and stole away Curchanus' old portfolio (especially if it happened in a Directorsaurus written/guided AP requiring the PCs).
I like the idea of a redeemed Nocticula, but I'm not particularly eager yet to speedrun her into a specific outcome & portfolio. There could be a lot of campaign hooks generated by Nocticula's journey, figuring out who & what she wants to be and the various intrigues, gambits, and open conflicts she uses to get there.

Lamashtu's not going anywhere, never fear!
That is the best news I've heard all day. I've always loved that you guys weren't afraid to include a Goddess as unpleasant, creepy, and socially unacceptable as Lamashtu, and have been (metaphorically) biting my nails waiting to hear she had been removed from the game or dethroned by a rival when info started coming out about 2nd Edition. Hearing that the Demon Queen isn't going anywhere made me breathe a big sigh of relief. She's the patron of the cleric character that I've been playing for years, and I even have a tattoo of her unholy symbol. So yeah, I'm kind of attached to her, lol.

I've not yet totally abandoned the plans for chaotic neutral Nocticula as a goddess of Midnight, Artists, and Exiless. The core pantheon of the game remains the same, but that doesn't mean the expanded pantheon won't change.

Could the expanded pantheon include deities from other mythologies? Finnish? Etruscan? Roman?

I definitely hope it still happens! I'm looking forward to it a lot. ^_^

Our Golarion's Nocticula is already making moves in that direction thanks to our Wrath of the Righteous game.
A PC from that campaign,
is trying to help out with that.
So I'd be all for this.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but I've always gotten the felling that Arcadia is the Golarion equivalent of Greece. So, it's possible they're worshiped there. Not that we've gotten much info on Arcadia.

Iblydos is the Golarion semi-Greece.
Arcadia is kinda-but-not-quite North America.

I'd really rather not, because there are contemporary Classical pagans who might find the last offensive, and the equivalent has been an issue for people I know with the use of Egyptian deities in Mummy's Mask.

How about the Gods of Pegana by Lord Dunsany then?

Unlikely. If only because I doubt the pantheon will expand much more than by one deity (Nocticula)... and even THAT isn't guaranteed yet.
That said, the upcoming Planar Adventures sets the stage for this event... stay tuned!

Considering the links between Sorshen and Nocticula (especially certain high ranking Succubi); I'm kind of suprised this isn't part of the Return of the Runelords AP.

That she is. Our WoTR game had her as a pretty prominent NPC.
(Ayavah is actually the NPC who has our record for "most appearances in our APs." Shattered Star, brief appearance in Serpent's Skull, Wrath of the Righteous...and I feel like there might have been one more, but now I can't remember where.)

Isn't she one of Song of Silver bonus npcs, the one for Wrath of the Righteous?
She does appear, with extra detail, in that article. But her first appearance (to the best of my knowledge) is in Shattered Star, where she appears as one of the quest givers.
I'll have to go look it up to be certain, but I believe Shattered Star also established her heretical worship of Nocticula and her being responsible for the entwined-succubus figurines. ^_^

I would just like to mention that I was planning on being involved with this with my paladin quasi-deity Xemna in WotR. So I have some mixed feelings on just pushing her ahead full steam towards redeemed without some guidance for how the players of WotR (or other APs I suppose) might accomplish this themselves. It's complicated?
