Lubella is talking about the textiles that Nan Comerivos had apparently stored in the Wasp's Nest. She also has a very small amount of Katapeshi textiles (and spices) that she brought as part of her merchant cover story.

She is tasked with finding out what happened to Shensen, a leader of the Sarenrite community in Kintargo who went missing during the Night of Ashes. She is also instructed to assess the current political situation, and aid the faithful of Sarenrae as best she can.

Lubella is posing as a Katapeshi merchant establishing trade contacts in Kintargo, and entered the city using forged papers identifying her as a free halfling registered with the Cheliax Government.

No question, just wanted to make sure you knew what I was referring to.

The one thing that we haven't accounted for is division of loot with the previous players. So far, Felicia got the silver dagger, and I think Arcos is taking the +1 Leather. Talvek isn't a part of the loot division; he started at lvl 2 with 1000 GP.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Those that played probably earned their share. Those who left, probably take what they had (dagger etc) and not the unsold textile profits etc. I want to make sure the two original characters have the equivalent of 1000gp. So we do not have newbies showing up with way more gear due to starting wealth.

I'm thinking Felicia might have been interested in the Daredevil Boots — the Swashbuckler's derring-do dead synergizes nicely with them.

I'm not sure what to give Amalie. We don't know what the other cloak is yet.

I'll also note that the +1 Leather that Arcos is getting is a relatively weak item. Normally, when people have cash, they would buy a mithril chain shirt or +1 studded leather, so the +1 Leather is only really worth 1/2 value.

The Cloak of Elvenkind is the most valuable item (although it will eventually get sold, since Cloaks of Resistance are basically required at higher levels)

I agree on the boots to Felicia. Makes sense.

I am searching through the mod and trying to find a second cloak , and only see the Elven one. So I am not sure if that other was a dupe? If you remember where it was found, let me know.

Unless either Lubella or Arcos wants the morningstar, that could go to Amalie. Cash and/or a scroll may round her out.

I have updated some of the cash items with prices to help divide between Arcos and Lubella. Most items/magic can be sold easily at 50% discount. Keeping them is better...unless you cannot use it.

Finally, there are also the 6 raven statuettes. Those would stay with the group and not go to those departing the cause.

Arcos doesn't need too much armour, so I'm alright with the +1 leather. I think for Arcos' position in the rebellion, strategist or sentinel makes the most sense.

I've been trying to figure out a way to facilitate a group discussion of the candidate submissions, in a private setting. The PM system doesn't seem to have the features needed to make that a viable method.

Arcos, I think you need to update your sheet to 2nd level. Lubella and Talvek ensure you have accounted for treasure (less the loot taken by the departing members). I am not sure we fully reconciled the loot on the sheet.

It's a bit tricky because we don't know what the slightly gnawed magical cloak is.

OK, since Amalie us unlikely to want it, Lubella will take the Cloak of Elvenkind (although it may be overkill!). She will also take the scroll of Undetectable Alignment, because that might prove very handy to keep in the group (it would otherwise go to Amalie).

The slightly gnawed magical cloak will go to Amalie (and hopefully it's something she would want). She will also get the mwk silver morningstar

Arcos will get the scrolls of misdirection and whispering wind (bard/wizard spells), so he can add them to his spellbook if he wants.

Felicia gets the Daredevil Boots and the mwk silver dagger.

That leaves the mkw hand crossbow, which I don't think anyone can use, and the valuables. I'm not sure what the fairest way is to divide that up between us and the ex-PCs.

To be moved it's written as being reliant on the area of renown, but since I have the obscurity social talent I have an area of obscurity instead. @Lubella, the other cloak is (+1 resistance) if that makes a difference and you think Amalie would rather have the elf cloak.

@Arcos, I am probably ok with it. I am not sure what they do and will have to read. But assume it is (or will be) ok.

As for the other loot. I'd assume the 2 departing take their cut of 3 pearls each and the loose cash (~180gp).

That leaves Arcos and Lubella with hard goods (texttiles, 3 pearls each, earings, buttons etc) for about 1060gp or 530gp each (assuming you find a buyer and want to sell all of it.

Well, I really don't know if Amalie would want the cloak of elvenkind. She's not very stealthy, but perhaps she might want the boost? I'm always a big fan of cloaks of resistance, so Lubella wouldn't object to that.

Hello! Thanks for the invite! Very much looking forward to joining you. The little bit I played of this AP i quite enjoyed it and was disappointed when life events pulled our GM away. I’m about to take our dog to the vet but wanted to check-in before long. I think I’ve updated all my stats to match this campaign and am happy to work with y’all on massaging the backstory to fit where he’ll be introduced.

Welcome and thanks for checking in and updating your sheets. I reviewed them some last night and for the most part everything made sense. I think I just had a few outstanding questions on some skills etc. Minor stuff.

I have posted a seed within the gameplay thread to introduce you both.

Aldren, since you have played almost the same parts this group has, I will assume Rexus knows you already from the riot and side adventures parallel to this group (ok, parallel universe but hey). He will invite you to join the Silver Ravens meeting(s) and vouch for you based upon your other group's efforts.

Julessa, you have not yet been involved with Rexus but seems your bakery would fit better as a connection with Laria, the owner of the Longroads coffee shop by previously ordering coffee cakes or pastries for her business. She would have some inkling of your feelings on the anti-business proclamations if nothing else.

If you have not read any of the prior gameplay, Laria and Rexus are the two main allies to the Silver Ravens at this point. There are several adversaries, with Thrune being the primary.

Hopefully this makes sense. Feel free to add any additional backstory if I missed something. Once we get this meshed together then we will get into the workings of the Silver Ravens and the rebellion.

Which reminds me, start thinking about officer roles based on the player guide. The original 3 have tentatively selected roles. I have listed them on the maps/notes sheet.

GM, let me know if you see any issues with Aldren's sheet. I use HeroLab so if something's wrong, it's a setting I didn't tweak appropriately for the house rules (because my own math is terrible). I went with a 20-point buy and turned on Background skills.

He also has a current wealth of ~420gp (including gear and coin). Wasn't sure if I should buy extra for WBL of 2nd level or keep it organically where it's at. Whatever you'd prefer.

In terms of a role in the rebellion, I haven't had time to go over those rules too closely but, thematically, I'm thinking Recruiter might be best for Aldren. Though, if that involves Diplomacy checks, I may not be the most optimal choice.

Here is a summary of the six Officer Roles:

Demagogue: Add highest of Charisma/Constitution modifier to all Loyalty Checks.

Partisan: Add highest of Strength/Wisdom modifier to all Security Checks.

Recruiter: Add character level to number of supporters recruited. Can have multiple recruiters.

Sentinel: Add +1 to all Secondary Organization checks (Security and Secrecy checks in our case). Add modifier to one event in Event Phase: highest of Con/Cha for Loyalty checks, highest of Str/Wis to Security Checks, highest of Dex/Int for Secrecy checks.

Spymaster: Add highest of Dexterity/Intelligence modifier to all Secrecy checks.

Strategist: Grants one extra rebellion action: +2 on all checks for that action.

Also, I have bit posting more than I might normally for two reasons: 1) trying to get the plot moving and the group together. 2) I had a 3 day weekend so I had a bit more time than usual.

Once the 5 of you meet at noon, then we can get the rebellion and officers and make the first checks on the activities for this new week (it has been almost a full week since the riot activities).

Also, question for everyone... I see Julessa is also a cleric (and a "good" one at that). I originally had Aldren as channeling positive energy, but when we also had another positive energy cleric in my last party, the group collectively decided to have Aldren go with Negative energy and the poison variant. It fit the character a little better and proved helpful in a couple of unique scenarios but is, generally, a bit suboptimal. Further, if the concern here is about making sure we've got enough healing capability, I'm happy to have him as channeling positive energy. But... I wanted to ask. Options! I'm really not wedded to either approach, just want to see what folks think would be more fun/effective.

First of all, it would depend on whether GM Arvid is OK with variant channeling.

I'm not terribly concerned about the amount of healing; I think we'll have enough either way.

That being said, my vote would be for positive energy. I don't have any experience with negative energy variant channeling, but at first glance it looks like a fairly weak attack. FWIW, devils are immune to poison.

Wealth by level of 1000gp for incoming characters should be fine. Did Aldren have more than that from his group? I did not think so, but let me know.

As far as channel questions go...I am not opposed to negative or variant- but they are suboptimal and may have more in-character/party problems. Collateral damage to party or non-combatants etc. but it could work with this group unless someone opposed it. If we had a paladin in the group, I would not allow it due to party cohesion issues.

Lubella isn't an actual paladin, although she behaves similarly on the Good-Evil scale for roleplaying purposes.

HeroLab is calculating his current total wealth at around 430~460 (don’t have it open right now), so 1000 will be a bump up.

Yeah, the negative/poison was sort of cool from an RP perspective (Calistrian/wasps/etc), and at 1st level worked great with some flying gremlin-type fey, but it was highly situational. Selective Channel prevented injury to party members. Want to do whatever is fun for the group without creating conflict. :-)
