This will one will you another attack (attack number 4 without boots of speed) and make me keep track of damage separately.

Surely you can find another one that you like. :)

Well, after this one, everything else starts getting situational... Hammerblow is decent, but I don't quite like the idea of it. I guess I could live with Flying Kick, it at least can be useful, but again the image of Eirik jump-kicking people this way and that kinda bugs me.

Female Human Inquisitor(Infiltrator)/10

Noravia nodded at Rizolla and searched the tiefling's body as she trussed her up in the manacles.

The inquisitor pulled the healing wand back out. "Yes, we can't have you bleeding all over the floor as we present out complaints by way of forcefully dealt blows."

One charge of the wand should do it for Eirik...

I think the idea is to go and try and stop the chanting but I'll wait for Caleb and Vandomir to chime in.

"Ahem. I might be of help here.Come through the door in fifteen seconds." Caleb offers, and vanishes.
Plan is to cast vanish, then cast DD to go through the doors, say 10ft, then summon an aqueous orb on their summoning circle while they're flat footed.
@Fabian: if you want to keep the group together, forget this
@All: if you want to stop him, feel free; I'm not wedded to the actions.
I do think we want to be careful about how long we take to heal up...
though potentially the module calls for it to be summoned when we open the doors, regardless of how long that takes.

Never mind flat-footed, I think being suddenly surrounded by water is an excellent way to make sure they stop the chant, right the bloody now ;^)

Female Human Inquisitor(Infiltrator)/10

Noravia didn't like the idea of anyone going off alone but this was especially true for Caleb. However, she wasn't about to stop him. Before he disappeared she pushed this thought at him, Fifteen seconds, not a second more.

@Fabian! thanks! I had been thinking I'd just dump it in the middle of their ritual space - if they have one, they must need it for something! This is much better.
Does casting Dimension Door and Aqueous Orb breach the Vanish? I thought he still had a round or two left.

Does casting Dimension Door and Aqueous Orb breach the Vanish? I thought he still had a round or two left.

I've considered this and even read some forums. The jury is still out on whether casting aqueous orb will void the invisibility but moving the sphere definitely will void invisibility since you are causing NL damage and potentially entangling people.

Given the layout, just casting the sphere in the middle of the font would not have prevented the chanting so I gave you a full action so you can move the sphere.

In summary, you are currently visible but it's your turn...

I know you understand that I'm doing this to keep you from 'stealing the show' with regards to combat. I'm really not picking on you (or on anyone else when I ask them to adjust their PCs). :)

If I can't hit you or if you deal too much damage then I'll have to increase the relative strength of the opponents to keep the challenges interesting. And if these 'upgraded opponents' are too much for the rest of the party then that's no fun.

Let me take a look and see if I find anything. If not then we may have to substitute that particular ability for something else that has more variety and not a direct application to just 'combat' (a feat or ki power or something).

Let me see...

Really hoping for a "what army"\"this army" moment.
Standard to cast Blink. Move to move the orb back over the succubus. Can I make an intimidate check? If so intimidate: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

Oh, you would be OK with Eirik chain-staggering foes all day long, eh? ;^) Yeah, noted it and thought that style of combat (head-butting something every 6 seconds 'till it dies) felt too repetitive and boring.

Female Human Inquisitor(Infiltrator)/10

Noravia's stomach was in knots as soon as Caleb disappeared. She knew he was more than capable of defending himself but there were too many unknown variables behind the door. She barely acknowledged Eirik's nod of thanks as she was distracted by counting inside her head. She moved to the door and prepared to burst in. In the few seconds left she feels compelled to call on Milani's blessing over the group and protection from evil over Eirik.

If you'll allow, she'll cast Bless on the group and Protection from Evil on Eirik considering he'll be up close to fight

Action 1
Rizolla looked at the others as Caleb went ahead of them and said, "You know we can't leave him alone in there don't you? Let me go in first and cast a spell, then feel free to come in after me." With that the sorceress moved to pass Noravia and enter the room.

Action 2
Not wanting to leave Caleb alone to face whatever was inside the next room Rizolla entered a few seconds after he did and saw a pair of targets down the way. Realizing they were in a nice, even, row the sorceress said a few words, gestured, and then sent a bolt of lightning arcing into the pair in front of her. The electricity lanced out and slammed into both of them with a thunderous cacophony of noise as it went to impact the wall behind them.

Lightning Bolt (Ref Dc 20 for half): 8d6 + 16 ⇒ (5, 3, 4, 4, 2, 1, 1, 5) + 16 = 41
SR if needed: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 2 = 28

I'll enter the room next to where Caleb is and send the lightning bolt straight down the line with the two in it.

Noravia could hear that Caleb needed help and Ves reiterating that fact did not help matters. The inquisitor tried to sound calm but her voice was shaking as she spoke, partly from fear and partly from intensity. "Vandomir, Eirik - I don't care which one of you opens that locked door but by Milani one of you must. I can't abide something happening to Caleb."

Can spells be transferred to Caleb through Ves?

What DC are we looking at to break down the door?

Breaking down the door is strength check DC 25.

Since Ves was with Noravia when she cast Bless then Ves is blessed...would Caleb also be blessed because Ves is? That's what I'm wondering.

Stats

Caleb all but fell back as the old woman swiped at him, fingers like claws. Instead the world went black-and-white for a second, just as it did when he took his shortcut, and the claw-fingers passed harmlessly through him.
Shaking with adrenaline, Caleb darted for the door. Once again everything went black and white, and his stride drifted as if he were weightless. Another step and his courage returned "Come now!" he called as he moved "Here I am trying not to kill you, and you can't even respond to a straight line like that?"

Finally at the door, Caleb grabbed the bar and lifted. Once again the world shuddered into black and white, add and he found himself stepping through the door, bar still in hand, as the others rammed it open.

being complicated here, feel free to ignore. Move: go to the door. Standard: Lift the bar. Total concealment normally prevents AoO, not sure if Blink's 50% miss is concealment. If so, she'll get an AoO. Not much I can do about it.

How 'bout just busting the door itself? Strong woode door has hardness of 5 and 20 HP, so with Eirik's DR/hardness ignoring strike he should be able to demolish the whole door with one flurry with time to spare. That OK with you?

Failing that, Eirik can get himself in the room, but it'll take his whole round and won't help the others get past the door...

Cool! Flanking means she'd also get an extra 1d6 damage per hit with precise strike/solo tactics

Male Human Monk (unchained) 11

Ok... let's use style strike flying kick to move up to 30' to get in reach of the hag, and use acrobatics to circle around it while avoiding AoOs (hopefully).

If the hag happens to die before Eirik gets a go, Eirik can use the rest of the 30' movement to move closer to the waterballed hag. He would have a decent chance to pinpoint the invisible critter (Perception 20 vs. Invisibilty-granted +20 to Stealth), but I believe that requires a move action and I'd rather first kill the enemy we see, particularly since Eirik's only just entering the room and for all he knows, the chanter might just be outside his line of sight at the SE part of the room.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (14) + 17 = 31

Dodging and weaving past friend and foe, the fat monk circled around the hag trying to claw the Inquisitor to shreds, kicking and punching the horrid creature even as he moved further into the room.
