The inquisitor put her weapon down and pulls out a second scroll so that she had one in each hand. ”I can help restore you to the person you once were. I can remove the undead curse that has been thrust upon you but you have to trust me which I know may be difficult. But if you truly love Kintargo as I know you do, then you’ll take the gamble because we also love Kintargo.” Noravia holds up the two scrolls. ”With what’s written on each of these scrolls, I can help you but you need to trust us and you can’t fight against us or else you will jeopardize the results.”

Tillia noticed the hesitation of the vampire and saw that her words had some effect. She reached cautiously into her bag as she said, "These belonged to you Mayor Jillia, I think you should have them back." She carefully set them down on the ground and then backed away from the Mayor as she said, "Noravia's right, we can help you, I know we can, and we can do it right now." She gave the woman a pleading look, "Please, don't let yourself become the monster, let us help you."

Let's hope the vampire doesn't realize this. :)

So, Caleb has no idea, but...
Raise dead raises someone dead for CL days. Does being an undead count for that? Or is it the days since her mortal self died?"
Caleb sighed at Noravia's inherent need to help people. While it was something he loved about his girlfriend, it could sometimes lead to great travails for those closest to her - which was to say Caleb himself.
"Look." he offered, with incredible reluctance. "I've got a head here. If you want to try to... I don't know, lick it... that's okay. If you think that'll give you the strength to control yourself. Otherwise there's some dead guards upstairs you could probably feed on if you did it quietly. Or..." he hesitated "I could take you to somewhere with bad people and you could murder them."
He looked into the eyes of the damned mayor, and felt a certain kinship "But if Noravia thinks there's a way to get you out of this, try to keep your soul as intact as you can." I would.
"Callistria is the goddess of vengeance. Do you want vengeance? Against the one that killed you, and the one that made you a slave?"
Would Caleb's Charm of Fate give her the strength to control herself?

Noravia knew that they only had one shot at this and her scroll wouldn't be potent enough. To free up her hands, she put one of the scrolls away. She then quickly walked up to Jilia and placed her hand on her chest. "Close your eyes and this will be quick." She called on Milani's power to help free this creature from the power of darkness by filling her with light. Noravia's hand glowed brilliantly and divine light transferred from the inquisitor into Jilia's body which shuddered, barely able to contain it.
Still casting Searing Light but Noravia is using her last 3rd level spell instead of using the scroll. This should give damage of 8d8 because vampires are undead that are sensitive to light making the damage 64 points. It may not destroy her but it'll be close and hopefully there will be other help.

Knowing that there was little she could do to hurt the Vampire Tillia fell back out of the room. Once she was at the end of the hallway she waited, preparing to cast a spell to trap the vampire temporarily in her chamber if needed.
I have one spell taht is of any use against a vampire and it would be nickle and diming her to death. Instead I will plan to cast my last wall of ice to plug the hallway if we have to retreat, that should slower her down enough that we can seal her inside somehow.

That offer was for first PC to strike only (Noravia).
However, everyone else can catch the vampire flat-footed and have their full round action before the vampire gets to act.

Eirik frowned, thinking this was not quite the kind of saving he had been expecting, but returning the well-liked Lord Major to life would be a huge boost to morale, not even counting all she could tell them about her pre-death experiences... let alone post-death ones. Muttering a prayer of forgiveness for what he was about to do, the monk got into position and awaited Noravia's cue to strike.

No, remember that I try really hard not to bot PCs unless they tell they're on vacation or something like that.

'So much for a quick resolution,' Eirik thought as the burst of hoyl light failed to put a quick, painless end to the Lord Major's unlife. The monk stepped around to better flank the vampiress and struck, hoping to bring her down before she managed to do anything she would later regret.

It's an issue for me!
Vandomir had turned at the sound of the strikes against the Vampire. "Now they decide to kill it," he asks to no one in particular.
Hefting the borrowed glaive, he rushed back towards the coffin. Noravia looked terrible. What had he missed? He saw the others starting to beat on the creature, so he brought down the weapon to hit the former mayor...

...but he missed completely. "It must have some sort of magical defense up, keep hitting it," Vandomir yelled.
Even had I hit, that damage would have sucked. That DR is going to be a major problem!

The inquisitor started rifling through everyone's belongings looking for anything wooden. Just as she was about to give up, she eyes fell on her theatrical glaive that she had used as part of her Shelyn costume. She grabbed the weapon and broke the handle over her knee to create a makeshift stake. She then used her morningstar to pound the jagged, pointy end into the chest of the disabled vampire mayor. Noravia held her breath to see if it was enough to stop the healing process. She quietly said a prayer to Milani because if this failed, she didn't know what else to do.

The tombs were unlooted. The secret door that led to that passage was very well hidden (you guys even missed the first time).
Forvian, however, he's very good at finding secret doors. Lucky for you. :)
Retraining is fine.
As for Noravia, I thought I read somewhere that if the negative levels were not removed within 24 hours, they would be come permanent but I can't find that rule anymore so I'm going with one save per day.

            Action 2:
Noravia walked into the Founder's crypt with a look of awe on her face. She stopped before Amyreid's sarcophagus and spent a moment in quiet with her hand brushing the inscription. To be in the presence of such a dedicated servant of Milani, even though it was a grave, was an experience that Noravia wouldn't readily forget. "We are truly blessed that Thrune and his lackeys never found this place. It would have been atrocious had their remains been disturbed or desecrated."
Action 3:
Noravia picked up some of the documents. "These will be most helpful in the future. To have the thoughts and plans of the original Silver Ravens will be valuable indeed." It was then that a piece of scored music caught her eye which seemed out of place considering the other papers. Picking it up she handed it to Caleb. "Blessed indeed," Eirik murmured as his eyes drank in the sights. So much lore and history, hidden from the eyes of common men for so long. The historian in him could not wait to dig into the stacks of documents found in the furthest chamber. Who knew what secrets awaited here?

            Action 1
With Jillia's demise Tillia re-entered the room and knelt beside the body. She reached out and pulled the eyes closed on the late Mayor's head before crossing her arms across her abdomen. She knelt then and whispered softly in the corpse's ear, "We will keep our promise, you have my word."
Tillia rose and looked to the others as she said, "I think we should leave her here for the moment, she should be safe from harm now, and when we are ready to leave, we take her with us. We should ask Hetamon if he can use that scroll, or one of the priestesses of Shelyn."
Action 2
As they were led into the vault by Fovian, Tillia was stunned. Granted there was a lot missing but they had just hit on a major find. The equipment from Jackdaw's crypt was a superb find. "Yes," Tillia responded to Noravia's observation, "We are very lucky they never found it. We should bring Rexus down here to examine all of this."
Action 3
Tillia was delighted to find the Silver Vault, and the documents within, but what really caught her attention was the sheet music. She knew little about such things but she thought, for some reason, that this might be very valuable, and important. After all, why would sheet music be kept in here. She cast a spell and then examined the musical score for magic.

I have most of my level up done but needed to ask, since I gain a level of spellcasting each additional level of Enchanting Courtesan is that going to be as if I gained a wizard level as well? The class actually doesn't specify how that works, it just increases spellcasting by one (a slightly different wording on the chart than most PRCs) but doesn't actually define what that means. My assumption is it functions like any other PRC that increases caster level and if that is the case are you going to make follow that rule about not gaining the two extra spells for my spell book for free or can I still take them (don't recall if I asked before).

            Action 1
Caleb took the charm from his neck, and pressed it into Noravia's hand. "Look, I'm not sure if this works or not. I do know that since I put it on I've had some escapes so narrow that THRUNE'S compassion couldn't fit through them sideways. Keep it, until you feel better."
Action 2
Caleb was in awe. "This is... I mean, I studied all the stories. But this is actually them. Do you think they kept notes? All we have left is the rumours THRUNE couldn't quash. If we could somehow raise them... or even just ask them questions..."
Action 3
Caleb paused, stock still. He put THRUNE'S head carefully on the floor. Carefully he rubbed his hands on his robe, then concentrated, the blood vanishing. Reverently he took the paper and laid it carefully on a table, opened up the song, looked at the notes, and began to sing.

Tillia: let's assume that you gain a wizard level with regards to spells (spells per day, spells known, etc.) but no other benefits from that wizard level.
Caleb: the sheet music has no words, just musical notes so you could 'hum' it but not sing it. There's obvious more to this Song of Silver (the next book of the AP is named after it).
I intend to recap later today.

            Action 1:
Caleb took the charm from his neck, and pressed it into Noravia's hand. "Look, I'm not sure if this works or not. I do know that since I put it on I've had some escapes so narrow that THRUNE'S compassion couldn't fit through them sideways. Keep it, until you feel better."
Noravia slowly got to her feet with some effort. She gave Caleb a feeble smile. "That's very thoughtful but I'm fine. I'd rather you be safe." She went to give it back but stopped, not wanting Caleb to think she didn't appreciate his gesture. "But if it gives you peace of mind then I'll gladly wear it."
"I think we should leave her here for the moment, she should be safe from harm now, and when we are ready to leave, we take her with us. We should ask Hetamon if he can use that scroll, or one of the priestesses of Shelyn."
Noravia pulled out the scroll and looked at it before her face fell. "I had been hoping but this is beyond me. If I try to use it then I'll put everyone in danger. Although, maybe Elsbeth can take a look before we leave. But I agree, Jilia will most likely be safe here for the moment."

Does Elsbeth also go up a level? :)
Caleb paused, stock still. He put THRUNE'S head carefully on the floor. Carefully he rubbed his hands on his robe, then concentrated, the blood vanishing. Reverently he took the paper and laid it carefully on a table, opened up the song, looked at the notes, and began to sing.
The fact that Caleb actually surrendered Thrune's head to take a look at the sheet music was not lost on Noravia. She watched his reaction with great interest. When he began to give life to the notes on the parchment, she took the opportunity to stop and listen. She loved it when he sang and as usual, she was mesmerized.
@Fabian: I believe you can sing music without having words. He's most likely be singing the notes just using 'ah' - like Ariel did in the Little Mermaid when her voice goes into the seashell.

            Action 1
"Noravia, what is wrong? Are you ill?". Vandomir was very concerned for his friend.
Action 2
Vandomir looked at the various depictions of the Silver Ravens, "betrayal was it? What sort of vile creature would betray his compatriots?"
Action 3
Looking at the many documents, Vandomir observed, "I believe we can be assured that there is much valuable history in these documents. It cannot just be full of junk and a song."
