Here's what I was thinking for background. In a nutshell, he is coming by way of the government support system. He believes it is his destiny to uncover lost civilizations. Because of that, when word got to him in Orisian of what was found by the PCs, he pulled in favors and spent considerable sums to get taken on as part of the army. He was hoping to learn what the PCs had found and stake out on his own, but he was too late; the PCs had already left. He came clean with some of the officers and, through the use of any remaining favors and extra wealth, got himself assigned to join the lead group as a linguistics expert and historian. He is still dressed in the army uniform and looks much like the members of the PC escort, only without armor.
Are we looking to replace Corb?

I have two attacks while hasted, you overgrown chimp with an excessively high flat-footed AC!
First of all I'm an ape. Second of all, it isn't nice to name call you short, less hairy, mother smells of elderberries, ape wanna be. lol
As for my assessment, I was operating under the assumption that you were staggered after using a boulder helmet (no save, regardless of success of the bull rush). And of course I wasn't including criticals, though the way you roll, it was about a 50/50 chance you would get one. :)
And my FF AC? The animal charm Nim gave me is a powerful thing! ;)

I hadn't included the +2 bonus from the helmet (purely because I wasn't aware of it) or accounted for the staggering effect. No harm no foul.
As for adjacency, i'm more than 5 feet away from one of its squares with clear line to it. Not an issue AFAIK
It's been my understanding for some time that combat reflexes don't allow you to make additional AOO's on the same opponent, even with CR.
Nim have you seen something different?
"Combat Reflexes and Additional Attacks of Opportunity: If you have the Combat Reflexes feat, you can add your Dexterity bonus to the number of attacks of opportunity you can make in a round. This feat does not let you make more than one attack for a given opportunity, but if the same opponent provokes two attacks of opportunity from you, you could make two separate attacks of opportunity (since each one represents a different opportunity). Moving out of more than one square threatened by the same opponent in the same round doesn't count as more than one opportunity for that opponent. All these attacks are at your full normal attack bonus."
If he moved then drew and drank a potion you would get two strikes but not for movement only.
No... just a house rule of mine creeping into this game. Imo combat reflexes don't get enough love in games playing RAW. Everyone is usually so careful not to provoke one let alone more. It only becomes useful against multiple dumb opponent's. :P
Anyhow, I'm not petitioning to use my house rule, just explaining. :)
What really bugs me more is that I can't grapple him as a AoO. When someone tries to move past I can hit them, trip them, disarm them or even sunder their gear but I can't grab them and prevent them from passing me? Lame. ;)

I'm wondering about the masked man's fly checks. As in, doesn't he need to make them to fly as he is? Should he fail a check he has to either land or move more than half his movement, and possibly make other checks to stay above the pit for his safety. :)
