No confirm for the crit
50% miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 93
Don manages to dig his dagger into the side of the creature, drawing a shriek. The second creature moves for Lynn again, hoping that she cannot see it coming.

In areas of darkness, creatures without darkvision are effectively blinded. In addition to the obvious effects, a blinded creature has a 50% miss chance in combat (all opponents have total concealment), loses any Dexterity bonus to AC, takes a -2 penalty to AC, moves at half speed, and takes a -4 penalty on Search checks and most Strength and Dexterity-based skill check
Lynn Warhaven |
"You'll get no second chance to surprise me." As the creature misses again Lynn steps back and drives the glaive into it's body.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 241d10 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Confirm for x3: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 162d10 + 8 ⇒ (4, 5) + 8 = 17
I'm with darkvision. So no further chances for the creature.
Iko_ |
"I need light over here!" Iko says and moves closer but is unsure of whats going on or what to attack in the darkness.
Only low light vision over here thanks.
DM Raltus |
SteelGate approaches Don, ramming himself into the creature that is attacking Don.
Slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 221d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
SteelGate wounds the creature, leaving a large bruise on the centre mass.

Out of the darkness you hear a voice, "You want light? Can't you see in the darkness? Hehe, I will give you light."
A cone of different coloured lights washes over the party.
Colour Spray DC 13 or Unconscious
Blinded, unconscious, Stunned: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6 rounds
Blinded and Stuned: 1d4 ⇒ 3 rounds
Then stunned for 1 round
SteelGate |
Will Tink: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Will Blue: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Will SteelGate: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Tink ignores the lights, but blue hops about on his shoulder cocking his head to watch the blue lights as the dance about.
SteelGate however grinds to a halt as the spell forces his spirit out of his construct.
Tink_ |
Tink attempts to identify the spell being cast Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25 which he successfully identifies as color spray.
"That man is a spellcaster." He states as he watches events unfold, "He will be easy to attack as he casts, disrupt his casting and he may lose concentration."\
I have darkvision, do I see him take anything out of a pouch as he casts or anything of the like? Do I see any of the physical spell components?
DM Raltus |
He had them out before moving and casting, if/when he goes again you will have your chance.
The creature continues to attempt to squeeze the life out of Don
Maintain grapple: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
The creature doesn't manage to keep the grapple but does still occupy the same space as Don.

The Dwarf backs up again 5ft step, mumbling some more words and bolts of force lance towards Lynn.
bolts of force: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 1) + 2 = 6
Lynn Warhaven |
Tink is going to do nothing combat wise, Creature 2 is dead, Don doesn't see anything and the rest is out cold so I'll post my next attack already.
"Hey I'm here. Can you come over to help me corner that guy? Over here, follow the voice, still here talking..." Lynn tries to give the others some idea where the enemy is by talking without end.
Stab: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 231d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Lynn Warhaven |
You noticed I already stabbed Millorn again two posts above yours?
"Your help is not really appreciated if you let your pets feed on us. Tell what you want to find out and how you think you're helpful!" Lynn asks holding the business end of her glaive in front of the dwarf.
Readied Attack for anything but answering: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 211d10 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Lynn Warhaven |
"You're welcome to arrest him if you like." Lynn replies to the blind and the lame. "But I prefer to hear more about what you're trying to achieve and how." Lynn tells the dwarf still pointing the glaive at him.
Why ruin the evil guys monologue ;)
Lynn Warhaven |
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
"No tricks or we're back at stabbing." Lynn says and takes the glaive back and uses it to rest on. She casts a spell on herself. "Now relax, take a deep breath and explain yourself in a way I can understand. You're researching what kind of magic demons use?"
DM Raltus |
"No more stabbing, please. Millorn been down here long time, was studying demonic magics to understand not to use. Crusaders crazy, yell...scream.. cry out in rage. City leader call Millorn Witch and want to kill him. Me flee down here, safe in the stone, studying harder down here."
He moves around but his hands are always visible. He does slowly move back up the incline to where you were heading.
Horgus Gwerm_ NPC |
"The Lord was looking for him and did call him a witch but then the Lord was a bit of a witch hater and anyone he didn't like and didn't want around was a "witch." Lets get moving then if we are taking him along, he might know a quick way out of this demon hole."
DM Raltus |
Millorn comes back out quickly as Lynn and Don don't follow.
"Other cave lead no where, lead down to water. Follow, way out through this way."
Millorn will go back the way he was going, as everyone follows you walk into what must have been Millorn's camp. A ragged bed roll and other destroyed gear is around, along with the bodies of what look like smaller versions of the creatures that attacked you in the cave of the First Crusader's.
