The Winter Portal - Round 7 - concluded
Ignoring the bone-chilling cold from the fey's slingstone as best she can, Agatha continues dragging Lucian to safety.

Talon continues creeping away from the scene, trying to save his own skin. Successfully, he skitters down a hillside away from the winter portal and the swarming fey.
Trawets regains consciousness, but with his hearing impaired from the thunderstone and his eyesight damaged by the color spray, he is a bit disoriented. He is also stunned, lying still waiting for his senses to return fully.
Green Sprite sees the trail in the snow, but it called by her leader to attack the upright winter maiden instead of following up on the trail. She turns to fire a tiny arrow at Agatha. The missile hits the Ulfen warrior, but the damage is negligible and she is impervious to the chilling cold of the fey arrow.
Hommelstaub casts a spell at the winter warrior, zipping up close to try to touch her to deliver the negative energy, for 7 hp damage.
The Winter Portal - round 8 - concluded
As the fey caster gets close enough to touch her, Agatha flies into rage and lashes out again with her blade, catching the tiny creature in the process. While the fey's magical skin resists some of the force of the blow, it still leaves a mark on him.
Red Sprite casts Daze on Struggler trying to slow the bear down and teach it a lesson. Lost without his owner, the poor bear succumbs to the spell and is frozen in place.

Trawets still lies helpless in the snow, unable to see or move his limbs, he begins to wonder if he'll ever move again.
Green Sprite fires again at Agatha, trying to slow her once again with the numbing cold fey arrow, but this time the tiny pin-sized arrows fly wide of the mark.
Taking a wound from the ulfen warrior's blade, Hommelstaub backs up and roars his tiny disapproval. "You will die here in the beautiful snow. And my queen will reward me when I bring her yoru scalp!" He turns and flies back towards the Winter Portal, bringing out a small vial of liquid on his way.
Agatha misses. A sharp whistle punctuates the air, and the fey all begin to retire back toward the wintry maelstrom, leaving the tired Agatha, the unconscious Lucien and the stunned Trawets safe.
Sooner or later, they all gather back at the site of the last campsite. To a man they all recount how they are lucky to be alive with such fierce guardians set on the portal. A troll even!
Having found the mysterious source of the winter weather, the group chooses to return to Heldren and call in some bigger guns to do the rest of the work. Satisfied, they take their payment from the village and go on with their adventuring careers.
