Hello there!
I've recently found myself with a craving to run a game and the free time to do so. I've also always wanted to play an S&S game, but never found a GM to run it. So instead, I'll do it myself! After a brief interest check, I am opening up a proper recruitment post for a new S&S game, to be run here on these very forums.
Without further ado...
Character Building:
Level: 1st level
Stat generation: 25pt buy
Allowed material: Anything that's Paizo official for 1e. No 3pp.
Starting gold: Max starting wealth by class*
Starting HP: Max at 1st level. After that, you can choose to roll or take (avg+1). This must be chosen at 2nd level and can not be changed.
Alignment restrictions: This is a pirate adventure, so I'm not going to put any restrictions. HOWEVER, this is a cooperative group game. If you can't work with a group without being a backstabbing jackhole, don't bother applying. No chaotic stupid.
Traits: 2, 1 must be a campaign trait. You may take a drawback for a 3rd, if you wish.
Optional Rules: We'll be using Feat Tax Rules and Background Skills
Background Information: Where your character came from isn't as important as who they are and what they want to achieve. Give me an overview of your character's personality and goals, and why they came to the Shackles. The game assumes you find your way into a particular tavern before the start.
*At the start of the game, you will not have any of your gear on you, but it will be recoverable, so please do make a list of what your character would have had on them before being pressganged.
If there are any other questions, let me know!

Hi GM! Submitting my Dwarf aquakineticist/rogue here :) he uses many hats. I hope he can help the party with the trapfinding if there are any eventually, but I especially want to build him to cover the siege engine part - that’s the right AP to actually build a character that can install, maintain and operate them in the ship or ships, so I can’t let the opportunity pass! Thanks for running this game.

Dorian 'Grey' |

Walking in with a pegleg, the murmuring reluctant pirate eyes DM Delmoth up and down. He takes a peglegged step back (which promptly provides party-like parodies, as he gets said pegleg stuck in a hole in the flooring!) and curses!
Be tink'n me really be put'n me foot into it dis time!
He winks at GM Imperlius!
I may have a guy.....
Thank you for running!

Delightful |

Rad to see this up and running! Got me a few ideas peculating in my head but for right now its safe to assume that I'm going to go with a Cleric/Warpriest of Besmara or a Swashbuckler with the Shackles Corsair archetype. Either way their going to be a big time worshipper of Besmara, the Pirate Queen, with an (hopefully) interesting twist on how fair that devotion goes.
Character should be up soon.

Mama Mambo |

Here's Delmoth's submission. I still need to give her a backstory pass. The crunch is done for the most part. I may giggle around some bits, probably equipment since I have 100 gold to spend.
Her role in the party is not to be a healer, she will buff, and blast with negative channel. She will also be a sneak, with a high stealth and decent slight of hand, eventually with invisibility. And she will bake everyone delicious mystery meat pies.

I'll throw my hat in the ring.
This is a cleric that I played very briefly in a Ruins of Azlant game, and I think he might fit in here. He's going Brewkeeper, and a cleric who can conjure beer and wine at will is going to be popular on a ship. He'll fight with rapier and tankard, and make good use of the Caydenite fighting style as it seems somewhat fitting for this AP.
What he wants to achieve: well, it seems from the background traits that we were universally press-ganged into this. So he will take it as the jumping-off point for a new adventure. He doesn't have anything really important to get back to; no desperate reason to get off the ship or go back home. He is on this ship by the Drunken God's will and we will see what happens next. What he will do is try to make sure that this crew of cutthroats is at least steered towards more deserving targets to the extent possible.

Indeed. But hey, the more the merrier!
Here's my cleric Black Bess. I have her stated out as a frontline Dex-based (thank you Feat Tax rules) Cleric with quite a few useful buff spells for herself and the rest of the party along with the standard healing when the group needs it. She's also a decent Face with Diplomacy and Bluff and knows her way around a ship. The mechanics are all on her profile. They might have some minor changes as the days go by but its essentially done.
Fluff-wise she's a nobody deckhand from the Shackles who became a possible somebody with a little help from Besmara who gave her a methodical, and quite literal, rebirth at sea. Still working on the fluff of all that but I think its gonna be something neat.

Ilizmagorti was not a good place to be for someone that had both ambition and a strong sense of good and order. In fact, it became a dangerous place for Tristian as he got to his late teens. He too often clashed with the worst of the pirate crew that visited the notorious port. The final straw was a duel which he won against o first mate of a visiting ship that was well connected with the Red Mantis heirarchy that ran the port. Tristian barely managed to disappear and gain passage on a ship leaving the area.
He wants to make his own way. Perhaps as a privateer for one of the northern kingdoms. A good ship, a good crew, and open sea. Perhaps more than he should hope for, but he will try anyhow.
He is starting off as LG because of his niave sense of justice, but I expect him to slowly move towards NG as the game progresses and he learns there is far more grey than black and white, especially in the Shackles.

I have completed the crunch (for the most part) on my submissions. I will work on fluffing them out later on, but wanted to at least provide my WIP sheets.
Zen Archer Monk
Unchained Rogue
Stormborn Sorcerer
Warpriest

Veronica Blackblade |

I'd like to submit Veronica - she'll be a Bladebound/Hexcrafter Magus with the Buckaneer's Blood trait. I'm still working on her crunch and will have it posted on her profile as soon as it's done.
Below is her backstory and personality details:
And she hopes that in doing so, she will be able to unlock the powers hidden within her ancestor's cutlass - an intricately crafted blade in a beautiful black scabbard that has always fascinated her.
Even just using the blade as a normal weapon is impossible to her right now, as some potent magic seems to hold the blade firmly in her scabbard. But Veronica is sure that by following her ancestor's example, it will be just a matter of time until she can draw it forth herself.

@GM Imperius - I don't want to be greedy but I wanted to know if you would be okay with giving Fighters the feat Combat Stamina for free? It gives them some variance and tricks to keep up with all the other martials that got some neat stuff. If not, no worries, I'm just considering my options here.

I'll allow it, tentatively. I'm not super familiar with the stamina rules, but from the quick glance I just gave it, I'm willing to at least give it a shot...

So, looks like we have 24 people who have dotted so far, and 17 characters submitted in various states of completion.
@Elfriede: You said Melli is a rogue? Though the sheet says swashbucker? Are you planning on multiclassing, or is there something I'm missing?
@Andrea1: Your post says Barbarian, but your sheet is for an Investigator? Is this a multiclass thing? Or am I missing something else?
All told, we have a LOT of divine casters, a few melee, a couple of arcane casters, and 1 physical ranged. Interesting lot, gotta say.
Still not going to set a deadline, since this post has only been up for 24 hours. I'll reassess after the weekend.
