About Melli Lillifeet

Background:
"Hells…" Melli squeezed her eyes shut against the morning half-light, crawling to her hands and knees in the muddy gutter. She half-pushed herself up again, then fell back into the filth as passersby laughed. Hells, she thought, how did I get here this time? She rolled tenderly over onto her back.

First, there was the drinking. That was a given, with how much her head was pounding. Besides - she cracked her eyes open long enough to read the tavern’s sign - it was a new tavern in a new port. Where better to introduce the great Melli Lillifeet, soon-to-be scourge of the Shackles? Even if it was for the 12th time, in another seedy tavern.

Then, there must have been the fighting. She groaned, trying to remember. Was the big half-orc who she’d fought in the Formidably Maid last night, or was that three days ago? It must’ve been the half-orc… She’d gotten inside of his reach, fought well above her weight class, and…

”Did I win?” She didn’t know. Neither did the passersby, apparently. They did laugh, again, though, and she screwed her eyes shut tighter. I definitely won. You all should see the other guy…

And finally, as always, there was the throwing. She pieced it together. After the elf went down - it was definitely an elf she’d fought, on further thought - the tavern’s bouncers had gone after her. She was slippery as a flounder, but then they’d gotten a hold of her. She’d bitten the one who’d grabbed her, but then it was a quick trip, kicking and screaming, to the door, and a quicker flight to the gutter.

She opened her eyes again. That’s not morning light. Another push up, and she stood. She sighed, wobbled a bit, and half-staggered/half-swaggered back into The Formidably Maid. It was time to do it all over again.

For such a small figure, Melli is brash, loud, and arrogant. She’s in the Shackles to make a name for herself, and she’s incredibly frustrated that so far, the taverns she’s been in haven’t seen that her destiny is clear. A brawler almost by nature, she’s not one to back down from a fight, and though her size should be a drawback, she’s been learning how to make that an advantage, but in a scrap and out of it. Those who can’t see her destiny as the scourge of the Shackles can expect a little spitfire, but those willing to work with her will gain her respect - even if she’ll stay brash, loud, and arrogant once they have it.
