I love the idea of a Gadget Specialist inventor, but why do we have so few gadgets to choose from!? I understand that it's a new book and mechanic (no pun intended), but at the moment it feels like I would be better off with an alchemist, scroll trickster, or snare crafter dedication for a few free consumables per day.
So I'd like to ask what do we think the odds of getting a bevy of new gadgets is in the near-ish future? And if we don't think it looks good, are there any older pieces of equipment in previous books that would make sense as gadgets?

IMO, we got quality from gadgets where we got quantity from talismans. I can see myself using more of the gadgets than I do the talismans so I'm good with them coming out here and there if the quality keeps up [starting off with 19 options doesn't seem like a bad start].

I was really hoping to see them filled out more in the Grand Bazaar. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Low level gadgets have a gap. The big turn off for a lot are the 10 minutes to apply and they only last for 1 minute (or 10 for next tier). Means you have to prepare right before walking into a room with monsters which is hard in most of the campaigns I play in.
Blast Boots though...best item and makes the gadget focused Inventor still worth it!

I’m hoping we’ll get more in the Outlaws of Alkenstar AP.

I could see more gadgets and other equipment (alongside other combat encounter enhancements) being in some sort of gladiator-themed book. Could certainly fill some of the missing niches like double weapons, more weapons with the grappling trait, other combat tools, etc. It could also add more class archetypes for the various martial classes, like a Swashbuckler archetype for firearms or STR weapons, a Champion archetype for non-religious ones, a full-on gadgeteer subclass/archetype for the Inventor, etc.

I'm hoping there will be an errata that will give the ablative gadgets an interact action to actually activate them so that you can get their temporary hit points instead of them being activated right away.

I mean, you don't even need to be an Inventor to spam them past a certain point. Even the low level Blast Boots are incredible.
