If you have a non-subscription product shipping with your subscription products, does it take longer to process the order? I'm impatient :^)
It’s complicated.
As I understand it, they have three “streams” of orders that leave the warehouse during subscription time. Each stream progresses simultaneously and independently of the others.
1. Batch orders made up of everyone with the identical set of subscriptions. By doing a whole category at once they can be quicker overall
2. People with subs who have added things to their sidecart or who are otherwise “unusual”
3. Regular, one off orders from people who don’t sub and who just happened to have placed their order during subs time
I’ve been both early and late in the queue whether I’ve had a bulk standard subscription set or a very complicated order.
The one thing I swear delays my subscription every time (though I believe it technically shouldn’t) is if I preorder a non-Paizo product and it gets added to my sidecart. im pretty sure that without fail, that results in my subscriptions stalling and needing a CS kick out the door.
Then again, that happened so often that I don’t do it any more, so things could be better these days. Nonetheless, if I do preorder a non-Paizo book I tend to mark it “ship as soon as possible” and then try and catch it when it ships.

Ah, just found this, selling directly to Retailers.
Right before quarantine though so don’t know if it was fully implemented or still being done.

Ah okay, I just got the Advanced GM Screen added because I've wanted it for a while now :) I'm just so excited for the new book & my friends are bugging me about it

Number 3 must be a new category, as the version I remember reading only had the first two categories (with non-subscribers being put in whichever queue matched the contents of their orders).

Is anyone else not getting any tracking with their tracking numbers? The tracking number (USPSMI) was generated on Aug 18, but there's still no info.
Same here. I was marked as shipped on the 18th, but the tracking link returns no tracking information as of this morning.

90% of the time I get something from Paizo, the tracking number doesn't work.

How does being a subscriber work with having a pending order? It says the digital copy doesn't go to my downloads until it's shipped but the PDF comes out tomorrow. Do I just have to buy another copy to get the digital PDF in a reasonable time? If so, that's a little disappointing. One of the benefits of subscribing is earlier access to PDFs.

Pending order means your order is on the list and waiting for the warehouse to pack it up and ship it out.
Once you get to the front of the line it will be put in a box, scanned and shipped out. When it is scanned and ready to go you will get charged and the order will flip to 'Shipped'
Once this happens you will get the PDF's added to your downloads.
As for reasonable time. Being a subscriber has the benefit of a free PDF, but it isn't the same as purchasing the PDF. Sometimes you will get it before the launch date, sometimes after. But reasonable is a relative term. Paizo tries to get all subs out the door before the release day but sometimes they don't. I find that to be reasonable for a free PDF but we may have a different definition.
It is NOT a benefit that we have early access to PDF's, not in the sense that it is advertised or promised. It is a nice bonus most of the time, but if you read all the text it never says early.

Tracking has been really hit or miss lately. We're still seeing the packages arrive from what customer's have been reporting, but the tracking and delivery confirmation is either inaccurate, slow, or missing all together.

FWIW, this month's street date was pushed out to Sept. 1 (adjusted on the first post in this thread), so that wouldn't be an option until next week, anyway (not that I'd recommend doing that, since you *will* get the sub's PDF as described in the posts right before mine).

I believe "hiatus", but I'm not entirely sure where things were left off with that.

It’s worth bearing in mind that “getting it early” is not one of the promised perks of subscribing.
Subscribing usually results in early access to the PDF, but sometimes we don’t get our PDFs until streetdate or occasionally even after streetdate.
It’s definitely frustrating in those months when one is placed at the end of the queue.

That's fine but still kind of annoying. The last time I was really excited for a book (Advanced Class Guide) this same scenario happened. So like just a little more frustrating that it's the same story 7 years on.
I know people are working hard. I know there's an ongoing pandemic. I'm excited and like not cancelling a subscription over it, it's just disappointing.

Yeah, I can understand. My worst ever was a subscription shipment from July that arrived in September.
It’s very frustrating when it’s a book you’ve been excited for.
