I have finished putting together my animal companion guide. You can find it here
Multiple Animal Companions and You
If anyone has any questions or if I've missed something please let me know. I want to present information that is accurate and complete.

Samsarans with mystic past life can steal spells from one other list, which can be used to get buffs like saddle surge (paladin 2), greater magic fang (druid or ranger 3), animal growth (ranger 4), or strong jaw (ranger 3). It's potentially useful.
Domains can be gained by some obscure archetypes: reliquarian occultist, priest of the fallen medium (only at L17!), possibly sacrament alchemists.
But yeah, that's tinkering around the edges at most. Good job.

im looking at page 7 in your above level 20 animal companion table and it seem wrong.
the hd for ac and the level have a cycle every 4 level from 4th level:
level = ac hd
4 = 4 (+1 hd)
5 = 5 (+1 hd)
6 = 6 (+1 hd)
7 = 6 (stay same)
then repeat
8 = 7 (+1 hd)
9 = 8 (+1 hd)
10 =9 (+1 hd)
11 = 9 (stay same)
but your numbers at levels 20+ goes
18 = 15
19 = 15(last part of the cycle)
20 = 16 (+1 hd)
21 = 17 (+1 hd)
22 = 18 (+1 hd)
23 = 19 (+1 hd) <- this by following the cycle should have been 18
24 = 19
25 = 20
etc

also something you might want to note for any build that strongly use animal companions. the trait beastkin let you cast speak with animals at will ,but for only one kind of animals (horses might be good. or cats for a build around riding and utilizing a lot of great cats. the fact they grouped up apes seem to indicate that a range in the same type of animal is ok)

Wow! Very well done!
heh, Thanks! :)

I've updated the Samsaran listing to reflect this ability.
Good catch on the occultist and spiritualist. I've added those archetypes to the appropriate sections.

Yep, I built the table in excel and my formula was slightly off for HD. After fixing it some of the other numbers changed as well. I've updated the table to reflect the correct values.
Beastkin is a good find. I've added it to the feats list along with the blackthorn rancher, rider's bond and thoroughbred traits.

Let me make sure I understand Animal Ally correctly:
Level 1 Beastmaster Ranger 1 (Nature Soul)
Level 2 Beastmaster Ranger 2
Level 3 Fighter 1
Level 4 Beastmaster Ranger 3
Level 5 Fighter (Animal Ally)
Levels 6-18 Beastmaster Ranger 4-16
Animal Ally Animal at Character Level - 3 (15th) AND then I have
16 levels in Beastmaster that can be divided up.
Can I divide up the Animal Ally Levels because of beastmaster, provided they divide between that "Ranger" animal list. Giving me 31 levels (at CL 18) to divide.

So animal ally says "If you later gain an animal companion through another source (such as the Animal domain, divine bond, hunter’s bond, mount, or nature bond class features), the effective druid level granted by this feat stacks with that granted by other sources."
Do we just ignore that? How do we justify getting multiple companions with this feat? Does that line of text not mean that our animal ally gets wrapped into our other animal companion progression and we still only get one companion?

But archetypes like, Beastmaster (Ranger), Pack Lord (Druid), & Packmaster (Hunter), can all spilt their effective druid levels between multiple AC's. I have seen that no AC can have more levels then the masters CL, I have seen no limit on the amount of effective druid levels the character can have. If you can have effective druid levels above your CL, can you not spilt them amongst multiple AC if you have one of the above archetypes? LordKailas's guide seems to play with the idea you can. If I understand it correctly.

I would just like to point out that I am one of the primary reasons that Dev post/FAQ had to be made

6 Month Necro but I think it is fine
I noticed a small problem with your analysis of Huntmaster
This option isn’t as good as it could of been. It lets you directly have multiple ACs, but you are limited to birds and dogs only. Because it only modifies expert trainer and does not remove it, it
means that you still qualify for the feat horse master. Tactician
I don't disagree that Expert Trainer is merely modified and not replaced. The problem is the Huntmaster does not have a Mount as it is replaced by the Hunting Pack class feature. Meaning Horse Master has no effect on them.

^I wonder what happens with this if you are a Small Cavalier, so that you can actually ride your dog.
Horse Master feat ironically makes no mention of horse in its rules merely it refers to your mount. I use the feat in my Pack of Wolves build

Wanted to point out that Wild Heritage is a featthat acts like Skill Focus for Eldritch Heritage, but gives an option for Wild Blooded choices for your Eldritch Heritage.
It'll cost you three feats (Wild Heritage, Eldritch Heritage, and the +4 level feat) but it's one way to get a Full Level companion w/out taking class options into account.
