In wonderland, ticking off royalty IS the game!

"In Soviet Wonderland, Royalty Ticking-off is YOU!"...?

... clearly, I uttered a perfectly reasonable sentence.

And here I was doing just fine until the word “can’t” was separated like that; then I was all...

I will now post spoilers for both The Last Jedi AND Avengers Endgame.

AT THE SAME TIME!!!

To wit: The good guys win. Sorta. But people aren't terribly happy about it. And it's unclear what exactly will happen next.

Excellent, it is now time for an edition war!

Have you guys seen the latest edition of Lord of the Rings!?!

The cover art from the movies is tacky and I think they made Gandalf way too powerful in this latest edition. When I was a kid, Wizards got chased up trees by goblins and fought back with fire crackers. Now they fight demons single handed? Come on.

I'm going to stick with the 1965 edition, because later printings aren't even Lord of the Rings any more.

Your face isn't even Lord of the Rings anymore!

...wait. You had PICTURES?

"Clearly it was an effort to dumb down the extraneous wall of literary exposition devised clearly to pad the word count and therefore was not a legal edition. In fact, one could surmise that the presence of any actual pictorial evidence in a Tolkien or Tolkien-derived work was the product of an unskilled amateur hack. Someone unlearned in the finer gravities of massive amounts of scribbling, and unaware that by simply 'putting a picture in' one may deprive one's self of several thousand of these important little memetic devices."

It may be the caffeine talking, but I just want to thank out bubble host. It seems like this thread has become a legit pressure valve for us miscreants, keeping us corralled away from modly view, and it seems like we desperately needed it.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

I've decided to use my new-found freedom to refer to a mod's status within a thread where they're posting.

Of course, this means we'll need to let one into the bubble. Does anyone have a portable hole?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I have a hole that is portable, but not the kind of portable hole you're talking about.

This isn't attacking mods, it's talking about ethics in mod reviewing.

Having reviewed the evidence, I think it's fairly clear that Hilter did nothing wrong.

Yesterday my kid (goat) spanked me. Any advice about whether spanking kids are appropriate?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Go ahead, give me a slap, I dare you!

I could have sworn I had a goat alias.

When I was a kid we had a pair of goats that we put in a pen with 8 foot high fences. But apparently they put the posts in too far apart because they would find the middle, bend the fence just enough they could climb over it and make their way up the hill to the neighbor's house. So, we'd get a call from the neighbor and the older brothers would send me and my brother and we'd put the tether on one goat and one of us would pull and the other would ram the goat in the rear, all the way down the hill. We'd finally get the first goat in and the pen bent back as best we could and get about halfway down with the second goat when we'd see the first goat marching back up the hill.

So, yeah, do whatever you want to your (kid) goat , I didn't see s*!%.

Okay I feel this thread has gone too far and now I want moderarship! I didn't know how good we had it!!

Finally a safe place to make personal attacks against game designers. 'Cause I've got some words for one Gary Gygax. No way that's the real name of a real person. He's obviously a lizard person from the Earth's core.

I suggest we flood the bubble with mango tea, just to be sure.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Testing, testing... <taptaptap> is this thing on?

Everyone who posts in this thread is a stupid poopy-head! (please note that's a Group Attack... unfortunately including myself, I see. hrm. well, faint heart ne'er won fair moderation, as they say...)

Each and every person in this thread is a poopy-head! (that's umm... a lot of Personal Attacks, I guess. errr... still including myself. dammitall, who calibrated this bubble, anyhow??!?)

Anyhow, this should put paid to the Fake News that the bubble has been breached. Or, like... get me banhammered.

If you work at a sex shop and look at porn, is it still NSFW?

I know this was meant in jest and rhetorical, but I feel I compelled to answer it.

From a company computer? From an IT perspective, yeah, very much so.

Send electrical shocks through the keyboard. Call it a "realism feature".

And make sure the level of the charge increases with the game damage and danger!

You could even call the shocks a "Peter Tingle." (There's precedent.)

I hate beer and brats.

I also live in the Midwest.

So naturally, I'm viewed with suspicion, as people assume I'm a vegetarian, which are worse then commies (at least that's what Facebook says).
