We ended up going to the Renaissance Faire on Sunday. It was slightly colder than "light jacket weather," but a cup of mulled wine balanced things out!
My son ended up getting an early birthday present: They had a blacksmith there who would work with people to forge their own items. My son, for example, was given half of a horseshoe, and he and the blacksmith turned it into a knife! My son is thrilled with it.
Ohmygosh...I would be, too!

I just composed a lengthy and heartfelt Christmas wish for everyone and Google Chrome did something weird and now it's gone. You'll just have to settle for this abbreviated version now! As someone who hit the 1980s hard, I certainly have a soft spot for songs like this. Although 1987 was hands down the worst year of my life I still hear those old songs and remember there were good times. And then I see modern artists paying homage to years before most of them were even born lol and I dig it.
