Six Heads of Mayhem--The Hydra Campaign Recruitment

Recruitment

101 to 139 of 139 << first < prev | 1 | 2 | 3 | next > last >>

For purposes of this madness I'll allow you to take the Reach evolution multiple times.

Noice! I'll take it, thanks!

This is a super entertaining idea. Im thinking of maybe a bad touch cleric. Or a support head. Like a Skald head that instead of biting has perform dance and just headbangs to bad sung rock songs.

Is there any way for our hydra to do ranged attacks? Like bows or a mounted trebuchet?

Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 2, 2) = 13 11
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 5) = 17 15
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 2) = 7 6
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 3, 6) = 16 15
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 3) = 12 11
Stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 5, 2) = 14 12

Hmm not very good rolls...

Not really... at least, not at first. Again, if you can enslave/befriend some humanoids, that might change.

Just a reminder, your heads should be at least mostly complete by the end of the day on Monday!

Would you allow me to take the Agile Tongue Grippli feat and use that to reload?

GM_of_the_Heads wrote:
Well, you could always beat things to death by repeatedly bashing your head into them. It's not like your brain is in there, after all.

I think I am going to have to do exactly this! (Cam here btw)

I am going to be building a barbarian, big dumb and durable!
I gave him the Ground Breaker rage power so he can smash his head into the ground with enough force to break it (like this except with your head)
And I gave him the Knockback power so that he can bash people around by smacking them with his head :)
And then I gave him Imp Sunder so that he can start bashing down walls and trees by whacking his head against them. Repeatedly. Again and again. Wont stop until either that stone building breaks or his brains turn to pulp!
Oh, I also gave him the Fiend Totem to give him a gore attack. the "horn" is going to be big, fat and flat on top of his head that will be his main means of attacking. (or his skull just got really really thick after so many concussions >_>)
Can you guess his archetype? Yup! Its the Breaker archetype!

However he doesnt have much str (only 14!) as I put his one good stat in Con. I was wondering if I could take the Vicious feat (3pp, meant for the Asterion)? It increases my melee damage by 2d4 but I take 1d4 damage back. I really like the idea of him swinging his head so hard at something that he leaves just as much of a dent in his own skull >:)
Along the same lines, I am not really sure I understand the ABP correctly. For the weapon attunement, can I choose a +1 special ability, or do I have to stick with the +1 enhancement?
If possible, I want to go for the Vicious property for more of the same self inflicted pain >:D

Elsewise, he is Big, Dumb, and loveable :) he actually has more Charisma then Strength :S So I plan on playing him as rather sweet.
He is also a bit clumsy (ok, a lot! It should be fun ^_^)

Ah, for my last feat, I am not sure... Maybe Split Regrowth, cuz I have the Con and it sounds fun, or Raging Vitality for moar Con, and the barbarians Instantly Dead Syndrome actually sounds like fun this game!
Smash would be simple and good :)
Or Keen Scent (actually what senses do we have as Hydras?) And become a tracker mayhaps?
Or something?

Edit: Dang. Just checked, a gore attack is piercing only, not bludgeoning like I thought. Mind if I have a bludgeoning gore attack?

That sounds suitably ridiculous. Go ahead!

Blockhead wrote:

I think that's suitably silly for this campaign. Go ahead!

Blockhead wrote:

It only gives you the enhancement bonus. You'd have to get your horn enchanted if you want a special ability. Better enslave... er, befriend a wizard!

Blockhead wrote:

Oh, yes, you would have low-light vision and darkvision 60'. I should stick that in the Campaign info.

Morheds and Eidolon are done I believe.

I decided that his spells, where applicable are cast by him coughing up or regurgitating the effect. So he basically vomits glitterdust, or coughs a string of spiders out, hanging from his mouth in order to whip it around.

Blockhead, I think we were supposed to be level 6, not 7. And Morheds, thats's...EWW GROSS!

<---Is fastidious Hydra Head.

He ate a lot of magical gear in his day, so his magic abilities come from within.

He probably licks things to apply touch range spells.

That's correct, Blockhead, you should be level 6, not level 7.

We're getting close to the end here! I will stop accepting new applications at the end of the day. Okay, I won't be on at midnight, so you could maybe get by if you posted in the middle of the night, but don't count on it. You don't have to have your crunch 100% done and correct by tomorrow, but it needs to be close enough I can use it for selection purposes.

As of now, these are the completed applications that I am aware of:
Grassclaw the Alchemist Head
Dru-Head the, well, Druid Head
SnortSnout the Kleptomaniac Head
Tomorbataar the Monk Head
Ziphora the Kineticist Head
The Hungry One the Necromancer Head
Morheds the Synthesist Summoner Head
Blockhead the Hard-Headed Barbarian Head

There are a couple other people who have expressed interest, and I think Captain Collateral Damage now has all of the info he needs for his Gunslinger Head. So I'm guessing I'll have around ten heads to pick six from.

BTW which category of guns should I use?
HP: 6d10 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 9, 10, 3) = 34

HP: 5d12 + 12 + 24 ⇒ (12, 4, 12, 12, 12) + 12 + 24 = 88
OK. Blockhead was fixed for lvl 6
Still need:
Skills
Drawback! everyone should choose a drawback, just cuz :) I'm clumsy :/
Would love to see a forgetful wizard \^_^/

Last feat
FCB
Some fluffyz

Edit: those hitpoints O.o
Flat 100 health when raging ftw!

Licking is fine. I expect if you're down and a shapeshifted druid with natural spell came to heal you, he'd probably give you a lick. Its kinda sweet, especially if he wildshaped into a dog(though its more likely he wildshaped into a tiger). Whippin spiders is fine, but vomitting glitterdust is disgusting. YUCK!

Nah don't let it bother you, you can flavor your abilities any way you want. I've heard of a wizard, his version of stinking cloud was that he turned his back to the bad guys and gave a good fart...

Then it was a running gag whenever that party ran into any bad air effects, they'd say, "The wizard farted"

And Blockhead, you look so cute and cuddly...dawwww

Captain collateral damage's character.
Statblock isn't really finished as I'm not really sure about some things, but hopefully should be enough.

Captain collateral damage wrote:

This is set on Golarion, so early (emerging) firearms.

Forgetful I is, just for shucks and giggles! I was planning on playing him that way anyway. Since we won't really have items I wont take an extra Trait, since that wouldn't be an fair trade.

A little late, but do we start with 2 traits? And we get a total of 3 feats, at lv 1, 3 and 5 or do we get 4 feats, because of the bonus feat? Sorry.

Was getting confused. I created my character under PFS assumptions.

You gain 2 traits and a bonus feat (so 4).
We are just taking drawbacks with no benefit because they should make things a bit more awkward and fun to roleplay :)
like being paranoid or oblivious ^_^

Cam James is correct.

All right, recruitment is now closed! If I'm not mistaken, these are all of the applications:

Grassclaw the Alchemist Head
Dru-Head the, well, Druid Head
SnortSnout the Kleptomaniac Head
Tomorbataar the Monk Head
Ziphora the Kineticist Head
The Hungry One the Necromancer Head
Morheds the Synthesist Summoner Head
Blockhead the Hard-Headed Barbarian Head
Boom the Gunslinger Head

I will look things over this evening and probably make my final decision tonight, though it's possible it won't be until Thursday.

Morheds is not really a synthesist, his eidolon is just also stuck to the hydra.

Okay, everyone, I've made my choices! These will be the hydra's heads:

Blockhead
Ziphora
The Hungry One
Morheds
Tomorbataar
Dru-Head

If you take a look over at the discussion and gameplay threads, you'll see they're all ready for you, so head on over there!

For the rest of you, don't despair! The hydra may need to replace a head sometime, or if I'm really crazy I may add a seventh head on sometime. You will be the first to know if such an opportunity arises!

Nice! I will get the last of his crunch polished up in the next few hours and I should be good to go :)

Oh, I hope you are >:D

Im up for a head to head battle, heating it up with Boom while Morheads provides peanut gallery comments ^_^
Dang, no one took pyrohead :'(

Are you really considering this? I mean, do you have a clear head?

You punny jokers, you.

I do think, whatever else may be said, that after all this head banging is over, I'll be ahead.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

What have I done? I've created a monster!

...

Excellent! Bwahahahaha!!!

Tomorbataar wrote:

I dunno. Sometimes I have been accused of being thick, maybe even a Blockhead :/

Tomorbataar wrote:

If your ahead, then I'm a head too. # two to you.

And we all know Two head is better then # One!
how many times did you have to read THAT to figure it out?

Blockheadd wrote:

I can't seem to wrap my head around it.

Looking at it just hurts my head. Oh great masters, I have a lot to learn and do solemnly swear to be your disciple.

I feel like I'm just banging my head against a wall trying to understand it.

I wish I could dot in just so I get constant updates! This should be fun to follow!

Re-recruitment for a replacement head is now open! Feel free to re-submit your heads there!
