It's the epitome of an unsupported configuration, but you can use an Android emulator to run Pathfinder Adventures on a PC.
I downloaded bluestacks for free from www.bluestacks.com, installed it, installed Pathfinder Adventures, and played the tutorial and the first three scenarios. The app crashed twice -- not sure if this is due to the application or the emulator.
Another emulator I heard mentioned is Andy.

That it only crashed twice under that chewing-gum-and-baling-wire configuration is a blessed miracle.

I am SO amazed that MyFly is able ina single sentence about technical issues on a PC to bring back promo cards.
You should be in politics MyFly.... wait... Drop the disguise Angela, we know it's you :-)

As if Angela Merkel ever did anything in a single sentence...

OK, important caveat: bluestacks is not free.
It is free to try. To continue using it you either have to pay $24/year or else try out various apps (I didn't pursue that option).
No idea about Andy.

Updating on using bluestacks: When Lini was trying to move from a closed Habe's Sanitorium, the app froze. I killed it, and on restart it was completely confused and showed a screen full of nonsense. No matter how often I restarted, this remained the same.
I reinstalled the app, and lost all my progress.
So, use at your own risk.

If you get into this totally jammed state, someone on the Obsidian forum said you can delete the characters from your party, then rebuild your party from your experienced characters.

My game froze when I lost to an Ogre. And it said I had to bury an item or weapon from my discard, but would not let me select anything.
When I restarted, it won't let me select anything, including my discard. It also doe snot show I bought the season pass for the entire game.

The game runs, but I've run into a bunch of bugs from login issues to cards that don't work properly to a game I had to abandon due to a stuck card. No crashes on my devices, but folks have posted a bunch.
You can try it without spending any money, so you can see how it works on your device(s) if you're interested. I'd wait for an update or two before getting into it seriously, though.
Hopefully the PC version will come out sooner rather than later. :)
For those having problems: make sure you let Obsidian know, either on their forums or via email to support@obsidian.net. (Definitely email them if you bought something and it's not showing up on your account.)

Feral wrote:Does Obsidian plan on releasing a PC/Mac version?I am also curious about this. After Tuesday's blog, I really want to buy the game. But I just decided to buy a house. I can't justify spending $200+ on a tablet for one game.
I just bought an Android 9" tablet for $80 just for the game and it works great. I have also seen similar for as little as $55. Some might consider even that too much, though if you already have the game.

playing it on amidious, played for about 12 hours straight accidently. no crashes. a couple graphical bugs from time to time, usually selecting a card from the graveyeard to recharge, it would disappear, but would reappear if you clicked where it was supposed to be.
That's amiduos, for those interested. Cheaper than bluestacks.
Are you running 2.0, or 1.1? I installed 2.0, and it crashed just searching for apps in the playstore.

I tried MeMU emulator the day the game came out. It worked well but the sound was terribly static riddled. (I have an i7 and 870M so I'm not underpowered).
Bluestacks plays the game beautifully, but it does crash once in a while, not terribly often, but just enough to be a tad annoying.
The game hasn't given me a single problem on my Nexus 7 2012, so I play it there most of the time.
No problems at all on Nexus 6P, but the panel is a little too small to play it comfortably on that device.

I think it was 2.1. yea mine crashed a few times when searching. I don't remember how I got past it. I think after my wifi got connected it searched fine without crashing.

For the record, I got the game running today on Andy Android Emulator, and it runs perfectly. I'm quite impressed, but then again it is Obsidian we're talking about here. :D
Nothing but love for my friends at Obsidian, but no one would judge you for being impressed that an Obsidian game runs perfectly.

Downloaded Amiduos v2.1.1
Runs bueatifully on my Toshiba satilite pro win7pro 64 bit.
No crashes at all. Makes me look long and hard at upgrading my ipad mini 1st gen which repeatedly drops to the desktop forcing a reload of the app :(
Got tired of the crashing in Bluestacks so I also donwloaded AMIDuOS 2.1.1. Wow.
I've played it all weekend without one hiccup or crash. It looks phenomenal at 3200x1800, and it was super fast after I realized it was using my iGPU instead of the 870M. I forced it over to the 870M and it's been fast and beautiful without one hiccup. Truly amazing.
