[Item] is so broken
...literally

It's always nice to see an item shoot itself in the foot in the last paragraph, or even the last sentence. Turns a 'oh, how am I going to choose THIS time' scenario into a nice easy sigh of relief.
Dispel magic to counterspell is low level because of its action economy.
Same nice blade over and over again, but no sight of my item :(

Just taking a sword or a spear or what have you and tacking on lightning or fire or wind powers isn't very superstar.
It may be a very desirable item to PCs, of course. Because sure, who wouldn't want a laser mace or a shuriken of explosions.
Actually...an exploding shuriken would be cool. Has that been done yet? Like when batman misses with his batarang and the villain is all smug but then the reader/viewer notices the little red light right before the kaboom.
Of course that leads me to wonder why he added the light. As a warning? To whom? His intended victim?
Also there's that great scene in Avengers where it happens to Loki. It's always fun when bad things happen to Loki.
Anyway...I'm kind of rambling here.

Two items I've never seen before in the same pairing. This is a good start. It won't last, of course, but it's a nice start.
All the items i was most snarky about seem to have been victims of the first cull. I can't channel sufficient negative energies to be creatively smug!

It's to the user, to let him know that the explosive is armed (and he must dispose it of!)

So, are you going to give an actual mechanical benefit, or is your unique imagination too good for that?
I miss the year when I saw two psychic papers and a sonic screwdriver.
Wow. Just saw an item very very similar to my alternate entry. I think mine would have been better, but still glad I didn't go with it.
I did introduce it to my regular game with some interest from players.

The secret (besides accepting His dark blessings) is almost always in the formatting, or my personal pet peeve, the CL and aura strength. Even post cull, over 50% of match-ups have one of those two wrong.

AH..... I just seen an entry that emulates the hand-held surrogate devices so much of society seems enamored with these days...
Thaaaaaaat's gross in a way I could never have foreseen. And simultaneously kind of silly.

In my humble opinion - and maybe it's just me - no magic item should show its power by throbbing.

If you thought that noticing that you could make up a weapon that would mimic the exact kind of weapon and cast a spell that has the exact same effect as the skill of a character in League of Legend made that a clever entry for the contest.... It really don't.

It really don't. I've seen a few items where the description has just given me a hunch that it's an IP violation, even though I haven't actually identified it.
That saving throw type does not exist in this game.

You do know that phrase will get you cursed?

I'm not sure that word is actually a thing in pathfinder. Did you mean necromantic?
There is a place for a random dice roll item. This is not one of them!
Joke vs Roffie item. Joke you win

I've got to say the quality is way up since the cull. A big decrease in bad items, leading to a lot more that are just meh.
I think I just voted for the number 1 item of the contest. It's really all downhill from here.

:) :) :)
I'm so glad I didn't go with my wondrous item idea this year. It has too many shared themes with other items I keep seeing.

Commanding the snark cannons to stand down until I know if I survived the cull or not, snark in good fun is one thing, my full of rage snark is another, sparing this plane of existence from that fate.
I'm just not likely to vote on items that require two different folk to wear one of a set. Perhaps it is because none that I've seen in the previous years as well as this season haven't been full of mojo. Perhaps I'm just biased against spending double the gp (1 for each character) in the hopes that the very specific circumstance happens.
I'm sure it can be done but so far...not for me.
Your item could have won that round if you'd used some of those words you had left to clarify the item's power.

If two certain items with misspellings end up paired together, my head may explode.
I've noticed people really don't like dealing with underwater encounters.
It's like Skull & Shackles left a bad taste in some people's mouths.
I say to you, poo-poo. Adventures don't get to pick where battles happen.
However, I will say; there are some well written under-water items out there.

at least someone knew what I meant by surrogate devices, I always get strange looks in public when I say that.
Terrible complicated and disturbing item vs make you blind but still see item. sigh.

Had to vote for the item I snarked about having to eat, guess I am eating my words on that one.
Too cheap item seems to be of disposable nature... but in the last paragraph recovers fully.
I've seen at least three of those, this year. This one was the most blatant.
Did Cookie Monster write this item? (Commenting on grammar. Think of how Cookie Monster speaks.)

If you appear like a magic item that appears like a mundane item...then you actually appear *like that mundane item*.
Again, getting sick of the word 'runes'. I'm fine when the runes are actually functional, 95% of the time they aren't.
