Hmm, discovered the miscount for my supposed to be 1020+ votes.
Well, still plenty of time to fix that, now, and I'm enjoying the item pairs I'm seeing at this point immensely.
I admire the determination to reach 5,000 posts.

Music therapy sounds interesting. I do something similar with putting together ultra-specifc playlists for specific tasks.
To this day, Frank Zappa always helps me focus when interpreting accounting rules since I listened to his albums exclusively while studying for the CPA exam.
We arent gonna make it captain!

Black Crowes pro tip: the smaller the venue the better saw them in an auditorium and they were excellent, they sucked in an open air arena... I also detest bands that "jam" as much as they do in concerts. Tom Petty made sure I got my money's worth in that concert though. He may be my favorite live performer.

My keep list is up to 16. There's one very kawaii ring I'd love to put on there, but I can't remember the name and don't know if it survived the cull.

I saw them a number of times as Mr Crowes Garden in tiny clubs, way back in the day. Then would go back to their house after for the party. At least I mis-spent my youth right, even if I can't hear anything any more. ;-)

Just put an icky weapon on my keep list based on the number of times I've voted it up.
I hate it...but I love it.

All right, lunch is over. Good luck everyone.
Sad I never managed to see my item in the wild.

Threw my back out once, and was on a very uncomfortable trip to a chiropractor when Queen started playing on the radio. Freddy Mercury's voice lessens pain; I'd swear to it. Luckily it was "three for Thursday" so I had a nice verbal balm for the rest of the trip.
I'm going to miss voting.

I have seen my item more times in voting this year than in the last three years combined. This disturbs me. I fear change.

I've seen a couple of items a LOT this year. They disturb me. I look forward to the change at 5pm tonight ;-)

I'm curious: How many total votes among all items do you think will have been cast this year. I'm thinking it'd be an 8-digit figure. Anyone else care to guess?
Snake item vs. Snake item
In a strange twist a third snake item entered the fray through a trap door. It then used an invisibility potion and a fourth snake item to beat the crap out of the original two snake items gaining the vote in a matchup that it was not even in.
On a completely different note, I seriously need some sleep. When I don't get enough, I tend to go off on ridiculous tangents.
My item vs my nemesis item
I will have no guilt and may quit voting after this to leave on a high note.

But I did pause a moment and ran the vacuum to think about walking away.
Still going! This late in the voting and I'm still seeing new items!

I have begun doing the analysis of items I have seen—and adding in that frustrating chakram that I KNEW was out there but was culled before I had a chance to...never mind :( —and there are some interesting statistics on item types and what made it through. I think some may surprise people.

Or maybe a bestiarological abcedarian? I'll get us started:

No...One post per letter...sheesh, just because you're sick doesn't mean you get a pass here Jeff! :-) Hope you feel better soon.

I'm a maverick and a rebel! I'll do what I want! Plus, I'm thinking D is interfering with my comprehension a bit. Kinda fuzzy. I've slept 14 hours out of the last 24. That might be contributing as well.
