Wedding planner [bard archetype] on Golarion sitcom: {lowering bow} "I just flew in from Egorian sent out invites for M'Lady's side of the wedding guests, and boy are my arms tired." {cue Tasha's hideous laughtrack}

How many ghost sightings are pareidolia?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

How many pareidolia sightings are actually ghosts messing with people?

And how many are just ambient environmental radiation resonating perfectly with my own aberrant neural structural topography?

And will a tin foil hat on top of my existing tin foil hat block it out better, or will the combined pyramid power/Devo energy domes just microwave my brain like a potato?

And if so, what kind? Russet, yukon gold, adirondack blue, ozette, lenape, something else?

And is anyone else hungry right now?

Well, I am at a Resteraunt.

I have no answer to your question.

However, as a native Floridian, pollinators the word makes me think of pollen and 'gators... so, teeny-weeny puppy-eyed yellow- & black-striped alligators flying drunkingly from flower to flower on bumblebee wings. Hopefully, they will feast on the abundant stirges mosquitoes (and the occasional mansquitoes).

Is it really “evil bidding” if the rules are “you bid, you pay, even if you do not have high bid”?

What if you get a lottery chance at winning even if you are not high bidder?

How much would you discount your high bid based on your estimate of the pool size qualifying for the lottery?

How do the odds change between “you must beat prior high bid” versus “you must bid at least the amount that aggregates your bid with every bid above yours that did not win, totaling greater than the highest bid”?

(That is, the n lowest non-winning bids which sum to above the highest bid are entered into a lottery, the winner of which has a chance to win the bidding based on some multiplier of the high bid. But they all pay what they bid.)

How do you translate “boil in bag for n minutes” so an InstaPot can understand it?

Your InstaPot talks to you too, right? Lots of people here must be able to do that, talk to household appliances. I mean, isn’t that sort of why we’re all here?

Oh, certainly I can talk to household appliances. They never talk back, though.

Unless it has some sort of mental ability to process itself, it doesn't, in fact, "know," but rather has a mechanical process that either turns itself off after a set amount of time (by automated switch) or based on how hot the entire contraption is (allowing the "toasting" process to finish after the direct heat application ends).

Gary Teter wrote:

Depends on what you mean by this. This has a lot of interesting lightning factoids, but I actually couldn't find it there, so I had to go to a darker source of fantastic lore, who informed me that it travels at about 1/3 the speed of light, or 220 billion miles per hour. (Unless it's from Electro in that one film.)

Yes, but the rest of your kitchen may be too radioactive to enter for a while thereafter.

Yes, but then you have to successfully role a DC 35 Will check to avoid accidentally summoning a mythic Freehold aeon.

If you keep up the doses, I’ll guarantee it’ll last the rest of your lifetime...!

Anchovies aren't deadly in and of themselves but because they accumulate domoic acid, a neurotoxin. The exact LD50 for humans is unknown; for mice the LD50 is 3.6 mg/kg. That said, in the 1987 domoic acid poisoning on Prince Edward Island concentrations ranging from 0.31–1.28 mg/kg of muscle tissue were noted in people that became ill (three of whom died).

Do hipster insectivore-foodies in Fort Wayne count? No, probably not; they'd use something like UberEats or GrubHub to instead have it delivered.

I think most of the spider-hunting wasps in the U.S. are endemic to the SouthWest, but I'm sure there must be parasitic wasps in the MidWest too. Don't know if they are of the families that eat grasshoppers though.
